Heaven-Dominating Martial Emperor

Chapter 531: Effortless Suppression

  • Next Chapter

The curtain of night was torn apart by the faint light of dawn.

In the glimmer of first light, a party from the Luo Race had already stormed the tribe’s main gate, their presence menacing and unrestrained.

At their head, Sikong’s eyes glinted viciously as he stared daggers at Ye Chen. His cold words, laced with boundless killing intent, echoed through the air.

He had come to attack the White Tiger Tribe for two reasons: first, to rescue someone, and second, to get revenge!

His prior defeat at Ye Chen’s hands had been a constant source of shame, a weight on his mind he couldn’t shake.

After all, his opponent was just a young man with no cultivation whatsoever. As one of the few Primordial Mansion Realm Cultivators in the Luo Race, how could he possibly have lost?

But now, with his newfound strength, his confidence had surged. He finally had the nerve to face Ye Chen once more.

The moment he arrived at the White Tiger Tribe, he proclaimed he would tear Ye Chen limb from limb, his arrogance knowing no bounds.

Behind him, the other members of the Luo Race were swept up in Sikong’s fervor. Their killing intent seethed, and a ferocious aura emanated from them, their eyes tinged with a shade of scarlet.

“Hmph!”

“Our tribe won’t be scared off by a few empty threats!”

Qing Lian’s expression was grim, her stunning face filled with an equal measure of killing intent. “If you mean to harm Ye Chen, we won’t just stand by and watch. It will mean a bloody battle, and nothing less!”

Behind her, the tribespeople gathered, eyeing the intruders with predatory glares.

“A bloody battle?”

“Heh heh…”

Hearing this, Sikong couldn’t help but laugh. “And what makes you think you’re worthy of a bloody battle with us?”

“A bunch of fools who don’t know their own limits!”

With that, he raised his spear and pointed it at the distant Ye Chen, its tip pulsing with a blinding, cold light.

Mysterious patterns were etched upon the spear. As Sikong channeled his power, they began to glow, unleashing a startlingly murderous aura.

“Last time, I was careless and lost to you.”

“How about we have another go at it, right now?”

Sikong watched Ye Chen with a mocking gaze. He had thought that with his thorough preparations and significant increase in strength, he would be more than enough to intimidate Ye Chen.

After all, the gap between them in their last fight hadn’t been that big.

With his substantial progress over the past three days, he was certain he had surpassed Ye Chen. Ye Chen could no longer be his match.

However, Ye Chen’s expression remained as placid as still water.

He seemed completely unfazed by the aura of Spiritual Power emanating from Sikong, remarking nonchalantly, “It seems I didn’t beat you hard enough last time.”

“But that’s fine. Since you’ve delivered yourself to my doorstep, I won’t be letting you escape this time.”

At these words, Sikong’s eyes narrowed, a dangerous glint flashing in their depths.

He was surprised that Ye Chen could remain so calm, but it no longer mattered.

‘If the boy is looking for death, who am I to deny him?’

“Let’s see what you’re made of, that you dare speak to me with such arrogance!”

Sikong took a single step forward, and a vast aura erupted in all directions. The ground beneath his feet fractured, sending countless shards of rock flying. The sheer power of his presence was daunting.

The next moment, he shot forward like an arrow released from its bow. His spear whipped up a violent gale as it swept fiercely toward Ye Chen.

It had to be said, Sikong’s speed was incredible, and the power behind his attack was terrifying.

Just watching from a distance made the hearts of Qing Lian and the other members of the White Tiger Tribe pound in alarm. They could even feel a faint stinging sensation on their skin.

His power was simply too immense. As Qing Lian and the others watched him launch his ferocious assault on Ye Chen, they knew they were too slow to help, and endless worry flooded their hearts.

Had this been the Ye Chen of three days ago, dealing with the current Sikong would have certainly taken considerable effort, and he might even have ended up injured.

But now, after absorbing the fire seed of the White Tiger divine beast, Ye Chen’s injuries had fully healed. With his combat prowess now approaching that of a Divinity Transformation Realm Cultivator, how could he possibly take a mere Fourth Layer Primordial Mansion Realm Cultivator like Sikong seriously?

Sikong’s attack was certainly shocking, but in Ye Chen’s eyes, it was as futile as a mantis trying to stop a chariot—completely beneath notice.

BOOM!

The air cracked and boomed. In the blink of an eye, Sikong’s spear was right before Ye Chen.

Ye Chen’s expression didn’t change. He simply, calmly, raised a hand.

BANG!

The spear slammed viciously into Ye Chen’s palm, unleashing a staggering shockwave!

At that same instant, however, the color drained from Sikong’s face.

To him, it felt as if his spear had struck an ancient Divine Mountain. All of his strength vanished without a trace, like a clay ox sinking into the sea, failing to create the slightest ripple.

Instead, an indescribably powerful rebound force traveled back from Ye Chen’s hand.

Sikong’s arm went numb. He nearly lost his grip on the spear as his body froze in mid-air.

“Is that all the strength you have?”

“It seems your progress over the last few days wasn’t all that much, was it?”

“And here I thought you had some grounds for your confidence, coming here so full of yourself.”

Ye Chen’s nonchalant words were like twisting a knife in the wound, causing Sikong’s face to flush crimson with rage and humiliation.

“Shut your mouth!!!”

Sikong raised his spear again, glaring furiously at Ye Chen as he thrust out, creating a hundred afterimages of his weapon.

But Ye Chen couldn’t even be bothered to glance at them. He held out his arm without a care, allowing the countless spear afterimages to bombard it. They left nothing more than a few faint white marks on his skin, failing to cause any real injury.

Then, with a light press of his hand, the world seemed to shatter. In an instant, the countless spear afterimages broke like glass, revealing Sikong’s true form behind them.

Sikong’s eyes went wide, as if he were witnessing the impossible. His face was a mask of pure terror.

“This… This is impossible…”

He didn’t even finish his sentence before Ye Chen pressed down again.

BANG!

Sikong was struck as if by a meteor from the heavens. He crashed heavily to the ground, the impact shattering the earth beneath him into a web of cracks.

Covered in blood, his bones and muscles screaming in protest, he felt his strength rapidly draining away. He couldn’t even lift a finger.

Everyone stared, utterly stunned.

In their eyes, Ye Chen had merely made two simple gestures.

With the first, he had completely neutralized Sikong’s attack.

With the second, he had grievously wounded him, leaving him with no strength left to fight.

Sikong gasped for breath, his face contorted in a savage grimace. He felt like he was going insane.

He couldn’t believe it. In just three short days, the gap between him and the young man before him hadn’t just failed to shrink—it had widened into an unimaginable, insurmountable chasm.

Three days ago, he could at least exchange a few blows with Ye Chen. He was no match, but at least his defeat hadn’t been so utter, so effortless.
