Heaven, Earth, Me

Chapter 1608. Weapon Spirit and Momentary Return Home. [End Of Volume 24]

Chapter 1608: Chapter 1608. Weapon Spirit and Momentary Return Home. [End Of Volume 24]

The hall shook, and the evil spirit slammed against the wall. Yasenia’s monstrous strength made that spirit’s form scatter as if it had burst from the inside.

"Already done?"

As she asked that, the scattered spirit reformed far away, holding a large broadsword that had been resting on the wall. Yasenia’s eyes lit up. "You survived one punch. Nice."

The spirit looked at Yasenia, its exotic, desert-fighter-like armor exuding intimidation. A second later, the thing charged at the dragoness. Feeling playful, Yasenia shouted. "Take my evil smashing fist! Ha!"

Her cry was a bit cute, but what happened after was not cute in the slightest.

With enough pressure to warp space around her fist, Yasenia charged and met him in the middle. Broadsword and fist flew at each other, colliding in the middle.

BOOM!!

Yasenia’s strength destroyed the spirit’s attack and landed on its armor. The explosive strength, somewhat weakened due to the previous collision, dented its armor inward instead of bursting his body.

The spirit smashed against the wall, and Yasenia appeared before it as it recovered. "Explode!"

A punch to the gut spread her physical strength evenly across his being, and an instant later, the spirit burst, the broadsword flying off and deeply embedding into one of the walls.

Andrea whistled. "...Wow. That broadsword is sharper than I thought."

During that time, the spirit once more reformed around the sword, gripping its hilt tightly as it looked at Yasenia. This left Yasenia full of curiosity. "It didn’t die? Interesting."

Instead of continuing to fight like a brute, Yasenia swept her Spiritual Sense toward it, scanning its energy signature. She saw a dense spiritual aura surround its body, but beyond that, there was a strange link between the spirit and the sword.

"Ho?" Yasenia’s eyebrows raised as she activated some of her strengthening skills.

Tatyana smiled. "You noticed."

The spirit charged at Yasenia, releasing a barrage of lightning-fast attacks. Meanwhile, Yasenia, now strengthened, easily blocked them, answering Tatyana. "I did. He is not a spirit. He is a Weapon Spirit."

Tatyana asked. "So, how do you defeat a Weapon Spirit?"

This was something Yasenia had already learned in the past. So, she recited the methods calmly as she blocked the storm-like barrage with her bare body. "The first is to destroy the treasure. If I strike hard enough to break the broadsword, then the spirit will die."

Tatyana nodded. "That’s the easiest, but also the last resort. Next method?"

Yasenia kicked the Weapon Spirit’s stomach, slamming him against the opposite wall. "The second is subjugation and making it acknowledge you. That works only on non-intelligent or half-sapient spirits."

"That’s right," Tatyana observed Yasenia’s easy time blocking and smiled. "What’s the following one?"

"Soul attacks. Weapon Spirits are, at the end, the consciousness that the treasures have developed over time. A strong soul attack can erase it. In this case, though, the treasure’s quality is bound to plummet."

Yasenia covered her hand with scales, and finally she stretched her hand and grabbed the broadsword’s edge.

CLANG!

Her fingers clamped down like a vice, not letting go. She smirked. "The last method is to suppress it through other Weapon Spirits. Draheart, come out and make it obedient."

Draheart appeared by Yasenia’s side, not in her sword, but in her girl form. The petite girl with an incredibly curvy body, red eyes, and blue hair glanced up coldly. "Stop."

That single word boomed out like thunder, causing the spirit to stop in its tracks. Yasenia released the broadsword and rubbed her chin. "You can be a nice weapon for Little Feixue. Come with me for the time being. With the Natural Treasure and you, Feixue will not be lacking equipment for a long, long time. Garest, dear, take him inside and restrain him."

Chains appeared from the empty space, binding not the spirit but the broadsword. A second later, it disappeared into Yasenia’s storage space.

Patting Draheart’s head, Yasenia smiled softly. "Thank you, dear. You can return."

Draheart nodded, smiling faintly, and returned to Yasenia’s Dantian.

Dune gulped. The spirit Yasenia just subjugated would’ve given her a terrible, bad time. Worse, since it was a Weapon Spirit, and Dune didn’t really have a way to defeat it easily, she would’ve been at a disadvantage. After all, an immortal enemy is something to fear when both sides are about equal in strength.

Not to mention her, Snake and the others were completely stumped. ’How strong is that dragon woman?’

They had noticed that Yasenia had activated some skills in the middle to strengthen herself, but regardless, that didn’t mean anything.

"Alright. This place feels like the core location where the best treasure would’ve been. Still, should we explore a little bit more?"

Evelyn looked around and asked. "You won’t take anything from here?"

She could see that some items were pristine. Yasenia glanced at them and shook her head. "Look closely, Dear."

Evelyn blinked and squinted her eyes. She activated the method Mirrory had taught them long ago to read energy waves, and a second later, she exclaimed softly. "Oh wow. Those pristine items are linked to the entire ruin."

Yasenia nodded. "If we take them carelessly, this ruin might collapse. So, let’s forget about them. They are not that important either way."

With those words, they left the ancient hall and continued exploring. As Yasenia had expected, that broadsword felt like the core treasure of this ruin. So, after that, they found absolutely nothing more impressive.

"Alright, let’s leave and return then. This journey was quite a nice haul."

With Yasenia’s orders, their groups climbed back to the surface swiftly and then left the Death Dunes. On their way out, they encountered a few more beasts. Cecile asked not to kill them and captured two of them in spatial prisons. If she could analyze and dissect them, finding them later will become easier.

***

"Finally, back at home!" Evelyn stretched her arms and smiled.

Yasenia called out. "Aster, baby! Mommy is home!"

Dune and the other three, who were about to leave, paused for a second and turned back curiously. Then, they felt a swift shadow flashing by the corridors through their spiritual sense.

A second later, an absolutely handsome little boy jumped out like an arrow toward Yasenia. "Mommy!"

Yasenia laughed and opened her arms. Then she used her body, stepping back to perfectly cushion the impact. The only thing that rippled was her curves, while Aster buried his little face in Yasenia’s neck.

Lowering her face to kiss his cheeks, Yasenia smiled gently, her eyes dripping with motherly love. "Did baby miss me?"

"Yes!" Aster looked up, kissing Yasenia back with a loud smooch. "I missed Mommy and Mom!"

Andrea approached, ruffling his black hair and chuckling. "We missed you, too."

Meanwhile, Dune and Snake stared blankly with faintly blushing cheeks. ’How can there be such a cute kid!? Kya!’

They wanted nothing more than to hug him tightly and rain little kisses on his handsome little face!

Scorpion asked, curious. "If it is not too presumptuous, Lady Yasenia. That boy, is he your child?"

Yasenia pressed her cheek against Aster’s and glanced back at them. The identical pair of smiling slit eyes was reflected in their eyes. "What do you think?"

Scorpion chuckled. "Identical looking. He even shares that small mole below his left eye."

Yasenia grinned happily. "Did you hear that, baby? We are identical~."

Aster blinked. "But I am a boy, and Mommy is a girl!"

Yasenia blinked and smirked. "Mommy is more of a boy than you’d think, hehehe."

Aster tilted his head. Ignoring his adorably confused expression, Yasenia looked back and smiled. "I’ll call you back soon, Dune. We’ll rest for about three months or so and return to the Death Dunes."

Dune nodded. "Got it. I’ll use these three months to settle what you told me about before."

She recalled that Yasenia told her that some sects were exterminated for targeting the boy in her arms. ’Targetting the young child of a dragon... I don’t know if there is a faster way to the reincarnation cycle than that one.’

Feeling some incomprehension toward whoever did that, Dune turned around with her people and left.

Aster asked, curious. "Who was that big sister?"

Yasenia blinked and smiled. "Why? Was she pretty?"

Aster tilted his head. "Hm... not much?"

Dune was, in fact, quite a riveting beauty. Her smooth, sun-kissed skin, deep red hair, and beautiful, sharp eyes were a mix that would attract basically everyone. Only, the first woman that Aster had seen in his life was none other than Yasenia herself.

Hearing his words, Andrea suddenly felt a touch of worry. ’He... he won’t become abstinent because he becomes numb to beauty due to Yasenia, would he?’

"Ahem. Aster, Dune is quite a beautiful woman."

Aster looked at Andrea and hummed. "Is she? Compared to Mommy, she is quite lacking, no?"

Everyone suddenly began sweating coldly. Well, everyone but Yasenia, who held his cheek and giggled foolishly. "Hehehe. Is Mommy such a pretty woman in our Aster’s eyes? I also think that Aster is the most handsome in the world~."

Seeing that made Andrea’s eyebrow twitch. She picked Aster, and before Yasenia could answer, Evelyn slapped the back of her head, sending Yasenia flying. "You foolish mother, do you want Aster to become impotent if he doesn’t find someone more beautiful than you!?"

Yasenia, who had slid across the ground quite comically, blinked a few times, her tail twisting in confusion as she looked back. "W-What did I do?"

Evelyn wanted to show a somewhat annoyed look, but Yasenia’s current baffled expression was so cute that she began laughing. Moving over and kissing her lips deeply, Evelyn smiled. "Yasenia, you need to teach Aster what a normal, beautiful woman looks like, alright?"

Yasenia answered back, confused. "Why should I? I had Tatyana by my side since I was young, but I didn’t have trouble loving someone else, right?"

Suddenly, Evelyn and everyone else were silenced. Yasenia looked around and sighed, patting Evelyn’s head. "Beauty is not everything, love. I will raise Aster to know that well instead of forcing some subjective beauty standards on him."

Evelyn’s face, together with several others, suddenly flushed in shame. ’Ugh... Was I too superficial? Being in Yasenia’s presence might’ve made me superficial...’

Yasenia chuckled and stood up, patting her skirt. "Alright, let’s go inside. Today, I will cook a grand feast~. Also, Feixue, love, come here, I have something to give you!"

Aster jumped down from Andrea’s arms and trotted behind her. "Yay!"

Feixue, who had been nearby, trotted over with a big smile.

He also grabbed Yasenia’s hand, both their similar dragon tails wagging happily as they walked inside.

Kali glanced at Evelyn, who was rubbing her ashamedly flushed cheeks. "Let’s go inside. Don’t blame yourself, I was actually thinking like you." She chuckled for a moment, sighing. "I’ve been without scars for such a long time that I almost forgot that Yasenia always looked at our hearts and not our appearances."

Evelyn nodded and slapped her own cheeks lightly. "I’ve also become a touch arrogant about my looks, it seems. Becoming more beautiful can also be a kind of poison. In that sense, Yasenia, who controls it so naturally, is truly admirable."

Among them, the one who had gained the most beauty was actually Yasenia. And yet, her mindset remained as clear as it had been in the past, leaving them to reflect deeply.
