Heaven, Earth, Me
Chapter 1688. Crushing A Prince.
Chapter 1688: Chapter 1688. Crushing A Prince.
Small Author Note: For all of you dears worried. Let me clarify. Qinqin’s existence, even if I decide to make her the next wife, is meant to be a sloooowwww burn. Even if it were to happen, they will have to go through many turns and twists before it happens.
First, Tatyana might look nonchalant. Nevertheless, we know perfectly well that if Yasenia nodded as they currently were to Qinqin, she would be pissed and hurt. Tatyana’s Heart Demons are not easy to deal with, and Yasenia has become their trigger.
So, give it time. She will be there, slowly being developed. I promise nothing forceful or that kind of thing will happen. If she stays for a while and just doesn’t grow on us, we can always develop the story with that in mind. Look at Tengliu, the harpy! Or look at Soluna. Either way, just give Qinqin some room to grow; I promise not to be rash with her. <3

Yasenia walked out of the building, leaving an excited Qinqin behind. She couldn’t help but sigh at her antics. ’What a mess.’
She didn’t just refer to Qinqin’s situation, but also to the one in front of her.
Arriving at the entrance with most of the maids, Yasenia opened the doors wide open and revealed herself to the public. She had wanted to stay hidden, but showing her appearance would be better this time around.
With her looks, people would not condemn her too much for wooing Qinqin. Not when there was no official betrothal with the Third Prince.
The rowdy streets became silent when Yasenia stepped out. Gazes gathered on her, who wore a comfortable, one-piece white dress. The dress didn’t show much, if any, cleavage, focusing on emphasizing the volume instead with a tight band just under her breast area.
Since Evelyn created this dress, it did a perfect job of highlighting the absurd volume in an attractive manner without disregarding Yasenia’s slim waist and wide hips.
As she stepped out, her tail swishing lazily behind her, Yasenia focused her gaze on the large man standing in the middle of the empty street. He was handsome. As a prince of royal bloodline, even with his large build, he looked like a wild wolf emperor more than a bulky, rugged soldier. Sharp, bluish eyes, wild but attractive silver hair, a fur coat that left his arms and midriff visible, and tight pants marking his perfectly sculpted legs.
Any woman would feel a squeeze in their core seeing his wild and attractive appearance. Yasenia, though, just blinked once with appreciation and nothing more.
The same could not be said for the Third Prince. The man who had been waiting with a cold face was currently half-frozen, his eyes involuntarily scanning the tall dragon woman in front of him.
If Qinqin had made his eyes light up when he saw her for the first time, Yasenia was causing an absolute earthquake in his psyche. The situation made it so that he could snap out of it swiftly. After all, the woman in front of her was the one who stole Qinqin.
So, he could twist his perception of Yasenia’s beauty from soul-charming to devilish and dangerous.
"No wonder Qinqin got charmed. Are you a Charm Demon in disguise? If so, you don’t know who you are dealing with."
His deep voice helped the many who were still drooling while looking at the dragoness wake up from their daze. Yasenia looked at him for a moment and sighed. "Your Highness, this one is a Dragon. No charm creature you speak of. I have already sent a letter to Your Majesty about the core events that followed after Young Lady Qinqin and I met. He will call us shortly. How about we stop it here so that no one gets hurt? If something happened, it could become a problem."
The Third Prince was a Level Seven Transcendence Realm powerhouse. For someone his age, he was incredibly talented and powerful. He even had records of winning against a Level Eight Transcendence and fighting for a long time against a Level Nine Cultivator, although he didn’t win and had to escape in the end.
Jumping two whole levels to fight was incredible. That was why he was called the most talented prince in terms of martial prowess. His two elder brothers, though, surpassed him in cultivation and cunning. So, he had very few supporters to become the next Emperor.
He showed that lack of cunning in the very next sentence. "Hah! If you are trying to delay what’s about to happen after provoking a Prince, you are in bad luck. I heard your name is Yasenia Dravory? So, I will ask formally. Yasenia Dravory, this prince challenges you to a duel for Young Lady Qinqin’s hand."
In a single sentence, Yasenia’s feelings toward the prince plummeted. He did several things she disliked in less than 30 seconds. First and foremost, treating someone as a trophy. She didn’t know if it was something common here, but Yasenia despised duels of the like without the consent of the party most deeply involved.
Second, Yasenia had hinted to him that she had some dealings with the monarch of this place, and he disregarded it as nonsense without checking anywhere. This was not avoiding deceit; it was rash, improper behavior fit for wild beasts.
Third, he challenged someone not knowing what he was worth. Did he believe he was the strongest? Yasenia’s calm eyes grew cold as her expression became indifferent.
"I accept."
Trying to convince him more? It was clear that this brute would only learn his lesson if he was beaten half an inch of the way to his deathbed.
The shadow guards had been surprised that the Third Prince would act that rashly, and they were even more surprised that Yasenia accepted. ’Does she not know that all Imperial Family members have sturdy defenses against Charm Techniques?’
Since there were powerful Succubi and Incubus roaming the place freely, resistance against charm was one of the most important treasures any child of a powerful family needed to have. It was not a recommendation, but a must.
For instance, the two Yasenia had used all her charm on were protected, but the embarrassing situation still happened because of their low cultivation and insufficient treasures.
Either way, Yasenia had no intent of using her charm at all this time around. Both of them rose high up in the sky to avoid collateral damage and faced each other around ten kilometers apart. For people of their level, that was like being at striking distance.
"Draheart."
Yasenia summoned Draheart in her giant sword form and tightly gripped the sword, pointing at him with a cold look. "You asked for this, Your Highness. Also, for those secretly protecting him, I do not intend to kill him. Be at ease."
"Ha!" The Third Prince sneered. "You speak arrogantly, not knowing who you are facing. This day will be a lesson to you."
Yasenia answered right back. "You are the one who has no idea of my strengths or weaknesses, Prince. I will give you one last chance to retreat. Will you take it?"
The Third Prince snorted. "As if."
A long spear appeared in hand. He twirled it around his fingers, creating a powerful draft as it spun. As he gripped it tightly, his aura surged tremendously.
"Spiritual Cultivation... Body path?" Yasenia shook her head.
The Third Prince stomped the ground, rushing forward, but as he did, the world around him changed together with Yasenia’s voice.
"[Thousand Path Illusion]."
This was a skill Yasenia got during her journey into the Death Dune Empire. In the tower, Yasenia got two skills: [Sky Soul Slice] and [Thousand Path Illusion]. Back then, she picked them up in the upside-down pagoda and learned them to have two extra skills that might come in handy sometimes.
Now was one of those times.
The Third Prince saw the world change fundamentally. In less time than it took him to blink, he was in the middle of a battlefield. The shouts of soldiers fighting, the metallic scent of blood, the attacks shattering the sky above everyone... Everything appeared vivid and clear.
"What? Did she summon a battlefield? Ha! As if I am not accustomed to this already!"
Looking at the far end, the Third Prince saw Yasenia sitting on a warhorse and holding Draheart while looking at him with a cold face. Around her, four shadows manifested and screamed to the heavens, bloodlust bursting out of their black-armored bodies.
GRAAHHH!!!
The four Calamity War Knights, summoned by Yasenia’s flag, rushed forward, killing both allies and enemies alike. Four black comets rushed toward the Third Prince, their red-glowing eyes beneath their helmets making the surroundings feel sluggish from the sheer Killing Intent within them.
The Third Prince shouted, enraged. "You summoned an army, only to kill them with your guarding knights!? Your fighting methods are undeserving! DIE! [Imperial Spear Sweep]!"
Golden light burst from his spear as he slashed sideways. His target was the four Calamity War Knights.
As he unleashed an attack that made the space around him faintly ripple, the Third Prince expected the black-armored knights to be swept away.
Reality was far harsher than that.
BOOM!
Two of the four sped forward, summoning a giant, black and red, sword and spear phantom. The collision between the golden light and their attack changed the surrounding terrain, and a massive crater appeared right in between.
Meanwhile, the remaining two Calamity War Knights crossed the remaining distance and hacked at the prince with brutal killing intent coating their mace and greatsword.
The prince quickly moved his spear, coating it in another Imperial art to attack twice at once.
CLANG! CLANG!
His spear trembled, the force behind their attacks clearly transmitted to his hands. As he retreated and continued to defend against the mad barrage of attacks that disregarded any safety, the other two arrived and joined in a coordinated but brutal attack.
Meanwhile, in the real world, Yasenia was standing in the middle of the air without moving. She had summoned the Battle Flag after she cast the illusion to summon the four Calamity War Knights. However, she made no moves beyond that.
The War Knights, strengthened by her [Tyrant Warlord Intent Domain], were more than strong enough to keep up with the prince for a while. Moreover, the prince had fallen into the illusion, confusing his senses.
Therefore, what would’ve felt easy to block appeared much harder, and the hard hits appeared softer. This caused him to misestimate his defenses and put him on the defensive.
To everyone but him, the Third Prince appeared as if he had been hit by some kind of schizophrenia attack. [Thousand Illusion Path] was not just a terrain manipulation skill. With enough mastery, which Yasenia had, it could cause the illusions to affect the real world.
So, the occasional soldiers and generals who joined to attack caused the Third Prince to swing his spear toward completely empty spaces where there was nothing from their perspective.
All of this was possible because Yasenia’s soul was, to put bluntly, monstrous. Therefore, when using a Soul Illusion skill on someone like the prince, who practiced the Spiritual Path and focused on the Body aspect of it, her skills became terribly strong.
Wanting to finish this quickly, Yasenia gathered strength and spoke. "Hidden guards, make sure to protect him if you feel this is too much."
Her foot rose up, and soul energies gathered around her.
In just a second, it felt as if the very sky was gaining weight. Everyone’s gaze moved up for some reason, and at that moment, Yasenia’s voice boomed around like that of a divine being.
"With a step, I order the Sky to meet the Earth. [Celestial Tyrant’s Soul Stomp]."
Yasenia stepped down forcefully, and the sky sank.
The hidden guards opened their eyes wide and swiftly moved to defend. The next second, everything flying was crushed, both physically and spiritually.
BOOM!
