Heir of Synthesis: The World Mage
Chapter 372: Savor Every Moment
Priam hesitantly pressed his lips against hers, almost awkwardly. The instant they touched, Dandara’s entire body trembled.
It was like a spark falling into a barrel of gunpowder. Their hearts raced, and an overwhelming impulse surged through their veins.
Whether it was the overwhelming pressure of the enemy army in the skies or the strange environment they were in at that moment—everything ceased to exist. There were only the two of them. Time seemed to slow down until it disappeared completely.
Their initial hesitation vanished in an instant. They surrendered themselves to the contact with hungry intensity, seeking each other as if they wanted to fuse together—not just their lips, but their bodies, their energies, and their very souls.
Instinctively, Dandara’s bloodline flowed from her meridians directly toward that point of connection.
Then, something unbelievable happened. Priam felt an electric shock run down his spine as he saw his own cursed bloodline resonate and respond. In the same millisecond, the Goddess’s Inheritance Rune, dormant inside Dandara, reacted in perfect synchronization.
Priam felt the curse of the Laws of the World tremble. A fraction of that ancient curse began to be purified.
The goddess’s power was truly terrifying! Dandara really could make the impossible happen!
’Dandara...’ Priam thought in ecstasy.
The Sovereign Goddess... that very same woman was now in his arms and on his lips. There couldn’t be another woman in all of existence who was even remotely equal to or better than her.
It wasn’t a complete eradication of the curse in his bloodline. In fact, it was only a fraction, but it was already more than enough to break the restraints and activate the Ancestral Art of the Elven Connection.
That caused everything invading Dandara’s body to be forcefully pushed back, returning to her skin and being suppressed in the same state as what remained inside Priam.
At that moment, a strange, profound, and completely uncontrollable wave of pleasure overwhelmed them both.
The kiss, which had started timidly, transformed into an overwhelming storm of sensations. Priam pulled Dandara’s body closer, sinking his hands into her back, while she tangled her fingers in his hair, pressing her chest against his. The heat of both their bodies rose and burned against their skin, but that only made them feel even better.
Their breathing became heavy and erratic. Both of them were lost in a deep trance they would never forget for the rest of their lives.
The haze of ecstasy lasted for an indeterminate amount of time. Until, abruptly, the connection was forcibly broken.
Not because they wanted to pull away, but because both of their bloodline energies had been completely exhausted in the process.
An overwhelming weakness and sudden dizziness struck Priam and Dandara like a severe blow. Reality came crashing back with full force.
When their lips finally separated, they slowly opened their eyes. Their gazes met—dilated pupils filled with deep meaning, an unprecedented intimacy, and a burning desire to continue.
They felt an irresistible urge to pull each other close again... but it was as if an internal switch had been turned off. The extreme exhaustion took its toll, and they both lost consciousness together.
...
Hours later, Priam slowly woke up.
He found himself lying on his side, holding Dandara tightly in his arms.
She was already awake. Her face rested just a few centimeters from his, watching him in complete silence.
The moment she noticed his eyes opening, Dandara’s lips curved upward into a sweet smile.
That smile... made Priam’s body and soul tremble all over. He had never seen such a beautiful and radiant smile in his entire life. It was enough to disarm all his defenses in a fraction of a second.
Dandara continued staring directly at him without the slightest bit of shyness, a provocative warmth shining in her eyes.
Priam’s mind almost went completely blank.
It was only through a true miracle of self-control that he managed to put his thoughts back in order. Quickly averting his gaze, he separated himself from her and rose with a swift movement.
Dandara stood up right after him. Then she stared directly at him, her fists clenched, overwhelmed by anxiety and anticipation.
It took Priam several seconds to take a deep breath and calm the rhythm of his own heart. Finally turning toward her and holding her gaze, he spoke in a serious tone.
"You..." Priam stopped halfway, searching for the words amid the chaos filling his mind.
Dandara nodded, wearing a soft smile filled with tenderness. "Yes. I love you."
Priam swallowed hard.
Dandara sighed and continued. "I love everything, whether it’s your flaws or your good qualities. I know I’m a strange woman... but I promise that..."
"You’re unique, irreplaceable, and a perfect woman." This time, Priam cut her off, making Dandara’s eyes widen.
He continued softly. "I can be anything. But I’m still far from normal... maybe the two of us got along so well from the very beginning precisely because we’re two of a kind."
Dandara froze. Priam took a deep breath, feeling his thoughts spin in a chaotic spiral. He stared into her eyes for a few moments and let out a long sigh, shedding every barrier he had.
"I don’t know exactly what love is... I’ve never felt anything like this in my life. But I don’t believe it’s possible for any living being to feel something stronger or more intense than what I feel for you."
Dandara forgot to breathe. A vivid, burning red spread across her face, while her pupils trembled slightly in shock at such a raw confession.
Priam took a deep breath, holding her gaze. "I want to make this official. But... my life is destined for chaos and endless problems. I don’t know if that will ever stop. Maybe I’ll die someday—!"
The words died when Dandara lunged forward, throwing herself against his chest and hugging him with almost desperate strength.
"Who cares about that...", she murmured against his neck, her voice choked with emotion.
"We’re going to live every second to the fullest. We’ll make every moment together even better than the one before it. I love this side of you... and from now on, your motto is mine too."
Priam swallowed hard, overwhelmed by an indescribable sensation that made his entire being tremble.
He had been wrong.
That feeling that had already seemed colossal a few minutes ago was expanding, becoming even more overwhelming and uncontrollable. How was that even possible?
"I think... I understand what love is now..." he murmured softly.
"Hehe..." Dandara lifted her face without breaking the hug, wearing a provocative and charming smile. "But promise me one thing: you won’t hold yourself back or suppress what you feel anymore. When you’re with me... I want one hundred percent of you."
Priam froze for a second.
Looking into the fiery gaze and suggestive smile of this woman, he became absolutely certain that she was going to take the motto *Live intensely* seriously.
"Let’s take it slow." He murmured.
Dandara sighed. "If Boss wants to wait a little, that’s fine..."
Priam took a deep breath, feeling a shiver run down his spine.
After sighing, he continued. "We’ll truly be together from now on... but living intensely doesn’t mean living in a hurry. Let’s take it slow, because every step we take together has its own value. I want to savor every moment with you without leaving anything behind."
"Yes!" Dandara replied excitedly, with a broad smile.
*Buzz*
Suddenly, the flesh and innards of the colossal beast they were sheltering inside trembled. The creature began moving through the mud at the bottom of the river.
The atmosphere was interrupted by the reality outside.
"They’ve already moved away in the skies. This is our chance; let’s get out!" Priam said, determination in his eyes.
