Chapter 467 - 467: Omolocchi, and the Arena

Decided to confirm Princess Ruya's card on the return, and skip here. The Royal Capital map is big, but only "Transport" to the edge so no problem. At the edge of the map seems village, but ignore here and flew to the very edge of the map. Confirmed the direction, and "Jump" at once to the visible rocky place. Confirming the map perfectly entered the next map.

What displayed in the center, is the commercial city Baden-Baden. Same as the Royal Capital in the city "Transport" etc. sealed so, "Transport" to the outskirts of the city.

Possibility of encountering monsters so, materialize the women.

"Well, big city."

Akie looking at Baden-Baden visible far said.

"Right. Bigger than the Royal Capital?"

"But not many tall buildings."

Come to think right. While thinking big city not dropping was this point.

"Surroundings encounter monsters?"

"No, should be swept. Exactly except the opposite side hunter block."

"What, that interesting looking name."

"Hunter block is the place various monsters brought. Can experience defeating monsters by paying money. Excellent adventurers escort."

"Excellent adventurers not doing such flattering work."

"S-excuse me."

Spit poison, but seems interesting. Well, fine.

"Then since took out. About 1 km to the city. Let's walk."

While walking further asked Shiori information.

"City entry tax applies at the barrier."

"Rather than bills "G." Shrewd."

"How much?"

"Regardless of age gender, uniform 50G."

"Age also regardless? Then take even from babies?"

"Yes, seems take. So hear people who hide babies in luggage."

"If put in luggage, maybe suffocate."

"Yes, hear there were such examples in the past."

"Then, when approach once return you guys to cards. Not sparing 50G but."

"Places can save should, Master."

Kotori insists.

"Pickpocketing and pickpocketing also many so, be careful. If take inn better choose good place. Places with panel officially recognized by Baden-Baden Chamber of Commerce good."

"Public order also bad. Different from the Royal Capital."

"But liveliness amazing."

Soon the barrier visible. Cardify the women and I "Jump" nearby.

Queue made so line at the end. Lined are merchants, travelers, adventurers, ones with sharp eyes, ones a bit shabby. I see, can guess public order not good from the queue.

"Next, 1 person? 50G."

"Yes."

"First time? Guidebook 20G."

"Then that also receive."

Understand the bad-eyed one glanced at me buying the guidebook. Thought good mark found or something? Well, young, no impact.

For now want to materialize the women in a place without people. Talked while grasping the city structure like streets with the guidebook.

"You, first time Baden-Baden? How, I'll guide."

"Who?"

One of the bad-eyed men earlier.

"Women? Or gambling?"

Ignoring this side's question and asking. Thought can swallow with momentum.

"Both miss. If forced say arena."

"Ha, with that physique?"

"Not me going out."

"Owner? Or some rich kid?"

"Different. If trying to guide and skim small money, expectation off."

"Na."

The man taken aback at my words.

"Saying despite young. Fine, liked. Today only 1 hour guide cheap. Right, 100G. Cheap."

"Don't need."

"So? Here, Baden-Baden public order also bad."

Well, that also so. To begin with this one also suspicious.

—-

"Then, please teach an inn with a reliable Chamber of Commerce official panel. Place with large room. With that pay 50G."

Inn will be found soon, but confirming each time whether large room waste of time. About 50G not regrettable.

"Not alone. Well, fine. For now guide free. If understood reliable after that hire for guide at 100G."

"No, guide to the inn at 50G. After that consider again."

"Firm despite that age. Well fine, deal established. Follow."

Eyes bad but maybe person reliable if only pay money. Well, person who gains trust with money, also person who betrays with money.

"Here."

Walked several minutes and taken was a splendid inn.

"However, expensive. If fine lowering grade a bit more, guide another place."

Also appraising whether have the means to stay at this splendid inn. Going around another also bothersome.

"Fine here."

"Hee, so. Then let's enter inside."

Entering inside at the reception a man talking. Seems acquaintance with the middle-aged man at the reception.

"If large room with beds, becomes highest grade, up to 6 people."

"More."

"Then beds only 1, but there is 10 person room can lay futon."

"That better."

"Aye."

Guided to the reception and immediately procedures ended. Pay 2 nights in advance. This kind made Akie do, but still can't materialize.

"Omolocchi is a good guide if only pay money."

The reception man said while handing the key. Called Omolocchi. Well, bringing good customers like this, mutual dependence. How much margin getting?

"Meals can eat at the cafeteria. Bringing in also fine. Carry meals to the room, but fee separate. Large room so bath in the room. Large bath underground. Not hot spring, but medicinal bath also."

Handed paper with guide written.

"Omolocchi-san. Rely on the guide after this too."

"O-got the mind. Then waiting in the lobby."

"This, in advance."

I handed 150G.

"Generous. Liked. Not 1 hour, today guide thoroughly. Instead at the end of today add reward matching my work."

Good at business.

I cheerfully agreed while laughing and once entered the room. Very clean room and splendid. Rooms even 3, spacious.

I materialized the women.

"Hired a guide called Omolocchi. Have guide after this."

"Yes, Master."

"Since called commercial city, goods also more substantial than the Royal Capital. Let's divide into shopping unit, and my escort unit."

"If shopping need me go?"

"Right, leave the shopping leader to Akie. Attach Ikumi-sensei who can appraise there, luggage carrier Shiori, and escort Mizurii."

"Yes, Master."

"This side Nanao and Haruki, Kotori. Lime and Gill also this side in the example hood appearance. If comes to it cardify and hide."

"Yes, Master."

When go out to the lobby in a group, Omolocchi was surprised.

"W-when?"

"Well, various, right."

"Hmm. You, perhaps not ordinary?"

"How. Well, fine guide please. A-the place various shops lined the south street fine?"

I confirmed what written in the guide received at the barrier.

"That side ordinary goods. If searching rare things, one back street on the west side good. However public order a bit not good."

"So."

"Yes, Master. Be careful going."

Akie answered so and went out.

"Called Master. Adventurer?"

"Something like that."

"Then, first somewhere want to go? If not particularly this side choose."

The chosen place also seems interesting, but first the destination.

"First please the arena. Also explanation along the way please."

"Understood. Follow."

While walking introduced the shops of the streetscape.

"This temple recently the priest changed. Not very good reputation."

Somehow bad premonition. Well, for now not get involved. This much city. Proper vigilante group also. Perhaps army also stationed.

"Vigilante group or something?"

"Vigilante group there, but rather doing like fire brigade. Security and troubles the Leouna Kingdom Second Infantry Regiment stationed, so that side often takes charge."

"Despite that public order bad?"

"Well. Basically relying on autonomy and vigilante group. If troubles too much come out."

Unless cause extreme commotion the army doesn't appear. Well, if army immediately comes out, this town's vitality won't be born.

"Here is the Colosseum. Arena. Now before holding so can go to the seats free."

"Then guide while going."

"Oh, leave."

Guide to the seats also, Omolocchi somehow arranged with the entrance staff so can enter.

"Omolocchi-san."

"Fine calling without honorific. What should call you?"

"Blue. Omolocchi was lined with me at the barrier right. Not guiding in this Baden-Baden?"

"Ah, that, from last week guided traveler to the next village. For convenience of entrusting to acquaintance over there."

I see.

"Next week one of the merchant group previously took care coming with family reservation entered. Blue lucky. Because met when I happened to be free."

While going up the stairs to the seats Omolocchi says. Quite steep stairs. If make the women go up first panty flash no doubt.

"To the arena ones who registered as gladiators can enter. For prevention of casual and, initial treatment fee for injuries included, registration fee 1000G."

Finished going up the stairs and came out to the seats. Circular seats surrounding the sandy arena installed with quite slope. Size that can accommodate quite many people.

"And, participants first enter the lowest grade. Grade called open. Here perform battle royal with about 8 people."

"Weapons?"

"Projectile weapons like guns prohibited. Magic also prohibited. Own skills usable, but status abnormality types like 'curse' or 'poison' prohibited. Scrolls also prohibited. Weapons and armor with effects fine, but as said earlier status abnormality ones no."

"Fine understanding as pure combat."

"That's it. And, if win through open become gladiator called G3. If achieve good results here can rise to G2. If active again at G2 G1."

"That the highest?"

"No, further ranking divided within G1. 12 G1 gladiators, and the one reigning above that is the champion."

Means have to steadily raise the grade?

"Means can't go up unless stationed in Baden-Baden?"

"No, not necessarily. Various tournaments. This time's holding is a big tournament. Can rush through from open battle to champion battle at once. Well, in the past only a few ones who accomplished such thing."

Nanao can?
