Chapter 940 - 959: The Mentors Say One Thing but Do Another

The inner examination hall was dead silent, but the students waiting in the outer ring still chatted among themselves. They occasionally discussed the possible exam questions or checked on each other’s spiritual power meditation progress. Of course, there were also those who absolutely refused to cram right before the exam, feeling it would only make them more nervous; they simply stood with a few friends, quietly gossiping about school anecdotes.

Amidst the dense crowd of students, Qiuqiu stood inconspicuously in her black down jacket, her head lowered as she checked her terminal. Her estimated time was quite accurate. Around noon, the examination hall called her number.

While entering the examination hall, someone from her batch happened to look up, saw her, and widened their eyes. "Why does this person look so much like that dominating freshman?" they wondered.

Though filled with confusion, the student had already entered the exam hall. After being assigned to their respective rooms and receiving the test questions, there was no time left to dwell on it.

Dean Zhu presided over the exam from the upper platform. After Qiuqiu walked in, a few teachers and professors on the platform began to whisper among themselves.

The AI randomly selected four questions from the question bank. With the monitoring stones placed in the rooms, the exam officially began.

Following the instructions, Qiuqiu skillfully channeled her spiritual power. With rapid precision, her Sea of Spirit Power opened up, and all the energy flowed into the monitoring stone in an orderly manner. It wasn’t long before the stone lit up.

Once it lit up, she switched to the next question on the AI. The students in the adjacent rooms either had their heads lowered or their eyes closed. Everyone was highly concentrated and paid no attention to her side, making the entire process seem completely silent.

However, that was far from the truth for the instructors on the platform, whose eyes were practically glued to her!

"Dean, did you privately tutor her in a small class?"

"She really doesn’t look like a freshman."

"And she’s cultivating both paths simultaneously? A Growth System Spiritual Power?"

The third-year instructor from before immediately changed his tune. "If you’re having her skip ahead to the third year, I don’t think it’s nonsense at all."

From the students’ perspective, all the instructors wore stern expressions. Their gazes were placid as their lips moved slightly, looking here and there. The students couldn’t tell if the instructors were criticizing someone for being inadequate, calling out someone’s improper technique, or deeming someone’s spiritual power unqualified. To them, these instructors were simply ruthless, pressure-inducing invigilation machines.

Meanwhile, Dean Zhu thought, "Ducks. They’re all a bunch of ducks. QUACK QUACK QUACK. A whole flock of three hundred ducks making an absolute racket."

Down below, Qiuqiu finished yet another question!

A professor who cherished talent chimed in. "I previously thought you were just blowing hot air, but looking at her now, anyone that you and Ai’er both highly praise is a genuine talent."

"So the data that research institute published online might actually be true?" asked a trendy instructor who loved browsing the internet. "She seems to be a streamer. The data showed that her food has the ability to transmit spiritual healing."

Having tasted Qiuqiu’s food himself, Dean Zhu stated with absolute certainty, "Yes, it really does have that effect."

"Dean, you’ve tried it!?"

"How potent was the effect?"

Zhu Tiansheng pondered for a moment. "Less than ten percent, but it is effective."

"Whoa!" That was still incredibly high.

"Hiss, I need to start thinking about what kind of practical training I should assign her first once she’s promoted to Class A of the third year," the third-year Class A instructor muttered.

The testing rooms might have appeared simple, but in reality, the instructors could immediately gauge a student’s level through the data from the monitoring stones and the AI’s recording and analysis of their spiritual waves. When it came to matters of professional expertise, an expert’s single move revealed everything. And one look at Qiuqiu’s performance was enough to reveal that she truly had what it takes.

Since Qiuqiu addressed Dean Zhu as her teacher, he couldn’t help but feel pleased hearing everyone praise her so highly. While they were talking, Qiuqiu had already finished all four questions.

The professor opened the door to the testing room. Qiuqiu stepped out, smiled toward the viewing platform, gave a slight bow, and quietly took her leave. At this point, more than half of the exam time still remained.

An examinee in the adjacent room finished their second question and looked up to take a breather, only to find that the room next to them was already empty!

Her gaze focused sharply. "Is there really such a genius in this year’s batch?" she wondered. "Or did they just give up and walk out?"
