Carrying the Star of Hope forward, humanity won the right to survive in the presence of the absolute Supreme Fusion God, an existence far beyond humanity itself.

After being pierced through by the Abyssal Torrent unleashed by Avatar: Transcendence, the Supreme Fusion God's body gradually began to disappear.

"Was any of this really meaningful, strongest god from the abyss?"

Having accepted the truth of its defeat, the Supreme Fusion God used the last of its strength to grab Avatar's wrist and question her.

"Talking about whether it was meaningful or not is what's meaningless now."

The Evil God answered calmly:

"Our era is already over… the future of every dimension will no longer belong to the gods."

Their eyes met.

Through the Evil God's exquisite pupils, the Supreme Fusion God glimpsed the abyss and an indescribable reality — and in that instant, it understood as well.

This battle would become a turning point for Duel Monsters in this dimension, the glorious final clash between gods.

After this, Duel Monsters would continue to develop and extend toward the distant future, while the gods who once stood at the pinnacle of Duel Monsters would eventually, one day, be eliminated by the current of the times.

There was no meaning in discussing such things now.

From this point onward, the stage would no longer belong to the gods.

The ones who wrote the history of Duel Monsters and created the future of Duel Monsters would no longer be gods.

In the distant future, an enormous variety of Duel Monster systems might easily give rise to Decks capable of surpassing the gods.

Releasing Avatar's wrist, the Supreme Fusion God calmly accepted its fate.

"So that's how it is. Heh heh… I lost. The twilight of the Age of Gods perhaps arrived later than I imagined."

Hoshino Alter cautiously asked:

["So… does that mean we won?!"]

The Supreme Fusion God who ruled over the twelve dimensions had finally admitted its defeat with its own words.

Only then did everyone present, including Hoshino, truly allow their tense hearts to relax.

After all, this was the supreme god born from the fusion of twelve dimensions. Its very existence was completely different from the enemies they had encountered before.

Even if they had won the Duel, if the opponent had chosen to unleash a desperate final burst and drag them down with it, Hoshino's side would certainly have suffered as well.

"There is no need to worry. I no longer have the strength to do anything."

As if understanding Hoshino's concern, the Supreme Fusion God explained.

"However, even though I have no strength left, Hoshino Chiyuki… as the human who challenged and successfully defeated the Supreme God, you must still be given an appropriate reward."

Hoshino replied:

"A reward? I never expected anything like that from the beginning."

"Heh heh. Still that same attitude. No matter which dimension you're from, you're exactly as I know you."

The Supreme Fusion God looked directly at the girl before it, a girl who was both incredibly familiar and more unfamiliar than she had ever been.

"But the you standing here now belongs to no known dimension. You are a future I have never seen before. Perhaps this is exactly what Jaden hoped to see when he fused the two worlds together."

"Oh, right! You!"

The moment she heard Jaden's name, Hoshino suddenly reacted.

"Forget the reward! Just give Jaden back to me! That's more important!"

The Supreme Fusion God did not immediately respond to Hoshino's demand.

Instead, it concentrated all of its remaining power into its fingertip.

A card created by the Supreme Fusion God slowly floated before Hoshino.

— The Quick-Play Spell Card Super Polymerization.

Hoshino instinctively took the card hovering before her and frowned in confusion.

"Isn't this Supreme King Jaden's Super Polymerization?"

["No, Aibo. This one's a card-printing machine!"]

The power of Super Polymerization was undeniable.

After all, it was an ultimate power capable of changing the course of a Duel with a single card.

Hoshino had originally assumed that a card of this caliber, just like Kaiba's Blue-Eyes White Dragon, would be bound to its Duelist and belong exclusively to Supreme King Jaden.

The Supreme Fusion God added:

"Super Polymerization is a card that can only be used by someone who possesses infinite possibilities. And Hoshino, you proved that very point yourself during this Duel."

"I proved it?"

Although Hoshino had previously only copied the Super Polymerization in Supreme King Jaden's Graveyard through the effect of High-Speed Divine Words, she had also opened up an unknown field of understanding belonging to herself, using Super Polymerization to Fusion Summon the Goddess Ishtar from the Primordial Universe.

["Aibo, if you have this card, doesn't that mean you'll have another chance to meet Space Ishtar in the future?"]

The Fusion requirements of Heroic Spirit – Space Ishtar, like those of the Supreme Fusion God, required a fairly specific combination of materials.

Although its materials were not nearly as complicated, it could only be Special Summoned using "Super Polymerization."

Under normal circumstances, if Hoshino did not possess Super Polymerization, she probably would not be able to perform another Fusion Summon of Space Ishtar.

"I'll be able to see Ishtar again? Somehow, that gives me a rather complicated feeling."

Using a card on the level of Super Polymerization to Fusion Summon a woman who was absolutely guaranteed to screw things up in a Duel… Hoshino couldn't decide whether that was a good thing or a bad thing.

A gamble like walking along the edge of a cliff might easily end with her falling and being smashed to pieces if she misstepped.

"Alright. I'll take Super Polymerization."

Hoshino placed the Super Polymerization card from her hand into the card case at her waist, then emphasized once more:

"So what about Jaden? I defeated you, so don't think you can just brush me off with one Super Polymerization, secretly hide Jaden somewhere, take him away, and then simply disappear!"

The corner of the Supreme Fusion God's eye twitched slightly.

This was the first time it had ever heard someone describe a card on the level of Super Polymerization as being "a brush-off."

However, the Supreme Fusion God quickly composed itself and readily accepted that fact.

If it was the girl standing before it, then even without Super Polymerization, she would probably be more than capable of creating a future belonging to her own possibilities.

"Journey onward together with hope, humans! As for this lost soul, it shall be up to you to guide him toward where he should go~"

Leaving behind the Super Polymerization card and those final words, the Supreme Fusion God who ruled over the twelve dimensions completely disappeared.

Tiny particles of light gently fell and bounced across the dim earth.

Immediately afterward, a rift opened at the place where the Supreme Fusion God had vanished.

Beyond it was a darkness of the universe as bottomless as a starry sky — the exact same kind of space created when Supreme King Jaden left the Academy.

"A lost soul, huh? Then there can only be one place left."

Hoshino smiled.

"That willful bad student has nowhere left to run, right, Jaden?"

Whether it was intuition or some kind of sensing ability, Hoshino could be certain that Jaden Yuki was absolutely inside the darkness of this star-filled space.

Hoshino gestured toward the three companions behind her, who had been clinging to her like three human accessories, and explained:

"The space of the Cosmic Darkness. Besides Jaden, I can't guarantee what else might be inside. If you're scared, you don't have to come in. You can wait for me outside."

"(╯°Д°)╯ Are you kidding?! I'm not staying here! Let's go!" Akasha was the first to reject the idea.

Minazuki immediately followed:

"We crossed the entire planet just to bring that Jaden guy back… a space filled with Cosmic Darkness? Even if the whole place were filled with Professor Crowler clones, I wouldn't back down!"

"A space filled with Professor Crowlers… heh heh. I really can't imagine anything more terrifying than that."

Although Minazuki's description was filled with plenty of things worth complaining about, Alexis didn't point any of them out.

She simply covered her mouth and chuckled softly.

"That's right, Senpai. No matter what lies ahead, let's go together and bring Jaden back!"

"Then let's go—!"
