Heroine-Saving System: Reborn In A Third-Rate Manga As The Protagonist
Chapter 207: Pissing Vampire
That was impossible!
Achieving a Blue Crest was something reserved exclusively for the top percent of prodigies on the continent.
It was the mark of a high-tier Awakened… someone who could command elemental forces and attend the highest classes of ALI Academy without paying a single cent of tuition.
She had spent five brutal years risking her life, groveling for pocket change, and breaking her bones just to save up enough money to take an entrance exam… and this man had elevated her to a Blue Crest elite with a single bite in a hotel hallway?
“Now then,” Koya said, his tone turning casual.
He flicked his wrist.
WHACK!
With a casual, backhanded slap of his bare hand, Koya struck the dense cluster of suspended razor threads.
A shockwave detonated across the bedroom as the entire storm of tens of thousands of crimson filaments was violently redirected sideways, hurtling across the room like a volley of arrows.
CRASH!
The threads slammed into a six-foot-tall, antique porcelain vase resting on a marble pedestal near the balcony doors, instantly reducing the five-hundred-thousand-Crown antique to a cloud of fine, sparkling white dust that scattered across the floor.
SNAP!
Koya released the mental pressure holding her nervous system.
Val gasped violently, collapsing forward onto her hands and knees on the silk sheets, coughing and clutching her chest as her lungs desperately pulled in air.
Her whole body trembled like a leaf in a hurricane.
Koya walked slowly toward the side of the bed.
He stopped three feet away, towering over her trembling form as he reached into the pocket of his black silk bathrobe, pulling out the small leather-bound notebook he had taken off the corpse of her tech specialist earlier.
He casually tossed the notebook onto the mattress in front of her knees.
Val looked down at the blood-stained cover and her breath hitched. “Tech’s… notebook…?”
“I know everything about you, Val,” Koya said, his voice dropping into a smooth tone that echoed through the quiet bedroom. “I know you were an orphan raised in the Outer Zone slums. I know you took dirty high-risk bounty contracts not because you enjoyed murder, but because you were desperately trying to hoard enough Crowns to purchase an entrance slot into ALI Academy.”
Val’s head snapped up, her eyes wide with disbelief and raw vulnerability.
Koya leaned down slightly, resting his hands on his knees as it felt like his glowing crimson eyes were staring straight into the depths of her soul.
“I can give you everything you’ve ever dreamed of,” Koya stated clearly. “I have the political power, the resources, and the direct connections to Star Enterprises to place you directly into ALI Academy’s elite classes with no entrance exams, no tuition fees and no groveling to corrupt nobles. You will walk through the front gates as a recognized Blue Crest prodigy.”
Val’s heart hammered violently against her ribs. It sounded like an impossible intoxicating fairy tale.
“In exchange…” Koya continued, his expression hardening into a look of terrifying dominance, “I demand your unconditional submission. From this day forward, your life does not belong to you. Your body does not belong to you. Your magical power, your breath, and your soul belong entirely to me… You will serve as my loyal blood familiar, my shadow operative, and my daughter’s personal protector.”
Koya reached out, his fingers lightly gripping the front of her chin, tilting her face up toward his.
“Now,” Koya murmured, his fangs briefly flashing behind his lips. “I already own you by the laws of blood but I personally prefer when my subordinates grant their consent willingly. What is your choice, Val? Will you swear your eternal allegiance to me… or shall I throw your corpse off the 90th-floor balcony to join your dead squadmates?”
Val looked up into the terrifying breathtaking face of the silver-haired Vampire King.
The aura radiating off him… that suffocating god-like pressure was something her newly transformed vampire instincts couldn’t even begin to resist.
Every single cell in her body was screaming at her to bow, to kneel, to worship the predator that had granted her a new god-like existence.
And beyond the fear… there was the promise.
ALI Academy…
The dream she had bled for, starved for, and killed for.
Val didn’t hesitate, she simply couldn’t.
“I… I submit…” Val whispered, her voice trembling with a mixture of reverence and awe.
She slid off the silk mattress, dropping directly onto her knees on the plush carpet at Koya’s bare feet.
She pressed her forehead flat against his toes, her hands trembling as she laid them flat on the floor.
“I swear it…” Val choked out, tears of overwhelming relief and terror welling in her eyes. “My body… my soul… my blood… everything belongs to you, My Lord. I pledge my eternal allegiance to you, Master Albano.”
Koya looked down at her groveling form, satisfied.
“Good,” Koya said, his voice steady. “Now let’s discuss the terms and conditions of your service. First… you will never harm a single hair on Mable’s head and second, you will obey every command I issue without hesitation and as for the thi—”
HISSSSS… TRICKLE…
A sudden warm sound interrupted Koya’s speech as Koya stopped mid-sentence with his brow furrowing.
Beneath Val’s trembling knees, a dark, spreading wet patch rapidly bloomed across the pristine, light-cream velvet carpet.
The sharp unmistakable scent of ammonia and fresh urine suddenly filled the air around Koya’s bare feet.
Val had pissed herself.
…Again.
The crushing proximity of Koya’s Vampire King aura, combined with the emotional whiplash of surviving death and gaining a Blue Crest, had completely shattered her nervous control for the second time that night.
Val froze on the floor, her eyes widening in mortified horror as she felt the warm wetness soaking through her pants and pooling against the carpet beneath her knees.
Koya slowly looked down at the expanding puddle mere inches from his toes with his handsome face violently scrunched up into an expression of unimpressed disgust.
He took two deliberate steps backward, shaking his head with a long pained groan.
“Are you serious right now?” Koya muttered, pinching the bridge of his nose. “Do you just… genuinely enjoy pissing yourself every time I talk to you, or do you have a severe undiagnosed medical bladder issue? What is wrong with you?”
From the foot of the bed, Mable dropped her golden spoon into her crystal bowl with a loud clink.
The little silver-haired girl covered her nose with both hands, her crimson eyes narrowing in dramatic childish disgust.
“EW! YUCK!” Mable cried out loudly, kicking her legs on the mattress. “Papa! She peed on the pretty carpet! That is so gross! Big girls are supposed to pee in the toilet, not on the floor!”
Val’s entire face flushed a violent shade of crimson and her pale vampire skin made the blushing heat ten times more visible.
She buried her face into the crook of her elbow on the floor, wanting the earth to open up and swallow her whole.
She was a hardened mercenary who had just slaughtered an entire security squad… and now she was being scolded like a toddler by an eight-year-old girl and an ancient vampire too.
“I-I’m sorry…!” Val whimpered in soul-crushing humiliation. “I-I’m so sorry, Master! It… it was an involuntary physiological reaction to your aura—”
“Save the excuses,” Koya sighed, waving his hand with utter exasperation as he turned toward the master bathroom.
He paused at the doorway, looking back over his shoulder at the mortified puddle-soaked girl on his floor.
“We’ll get you a proper hotel maid uniform tomorrow so you can blend in and attend to Mable,” Koya commanded flatly. “But first… go clean up that damn mess on my carpet and then go take a three-hour bath in the secondary guest bathroom.”
Koya wrinkled his nose, clicking his tongue.
“You smell like death, gunpowder, and piss. Get out of my sight and go scrub yourself.”
…
The steam inside the secondary guest bathroom was so thick it clung to the polished obsidian tiles like a warm heavy blanket.
Val stood beneath the cascading torrent of the showerhead with her hands pressed flat against the dark stone wall.
The water was scalding, roaring against her pale shoulders but her newly transformed nervous system barely registered the heat as discomfort.
Instead, it felt like an electric hum tracing every contour of her altered flesh.
She stared down at the swirling vortex around the chrome drain.
The water began dark, running thick with the soot of exploded antimatter canisters, the pulverized lime of shattered walls, the dried arterial copper of hotel guards she had slaughtered, and the humiliating bitter stain of her own urine.
Layer by layer, the filth washed away, revealing porcelain skin that gleamed with an unnatural pearl-like luster under the recessed ceiling lights.
Val slowly lifted her right hand through the roaring stream of water.
Her fingers were slender, her nails hardened into translucent obsidian talons that held a razor-sharp natural edge.
She brought her fingertips to her neck, right over the pulsing carotid artery, tracing the twin puncture marks that had fundamentally rewritten her destiny.
They were healed now though.
‘A Vampire…’ Val thought, her chest rising and falling in slow breaths.
How had her life completely flipped upside down in less than three hours?
Yesterday, she was just Val… a nameless desperate mercenary from the outer slums of Isle Supercity.
She was a girl who counted every Crown, ate stale nutritional paste, patched up her own broken bones in filthy safehouses, and took on suicidal assassination contracts with the Night-Hound Strike Unit just to build a tuition fund for ALI Academy.
She had lived in constant terror of hitting that invisible suffocating ceiling that trapped every three-liner commoner.
She remembered the sneers of noble-born Awakened, the cold dismissal of guild evaluators, and the endless crushing feeling that no matter how much blood she shed, she would always remain trash in the eyes of the world.
And now?
Val looked into the mist-covered mirror mounted above the marble vanity as she raised a wet palm, wiping away the condensation with a soft squeak.
The reflection staring back at her took her breath away.
The gruesome burns from the hotel security captain’s lightning spear had completely vanished.
The charred flesh, the jagged scar along her lower lip from an old street knife fight, the deep lines of chronic exhaustion around her eyes… all gone.
Her face was flawless, framed by damp spiky dark hair that clung to her neck and her skin was as pale as winter moonlight, contrasting sharply with the deep vibrant hue burning within her pupils.
She opened her mouth slightly, running her tongue along the roof of her mouth as two elongated razor-sharp canine fangs rested against her lower lip.
‘A Blue Crest…’ she murmured in her mind, her heart thumping with a terrifying intoxicating rhythm.
Inside her chest, her spiritual core felt vast as she could feel the mana in the air, the subtle pulse of the hotel’s foundational arrays, and most remarkably, the comforting pull of the moon through the distant windows.
“A slave…” Val whispered aloud, watching the steam curl off her lips in the mirror. “I’m his blood familiar now. Body, soul, life… everything belongs to Albano Shirou.”
Fear coiled in her stomach, but beneath the fear, an unsettling dark thrill took root.
For the first time in her life, she had power. It was real undeniable power.
Val reached out and turned the brass handle of the shower.
The roaring torrent sputtered and died, leaving only the steady drip… drip… drip… of water falling into the drain.
She stepped out of the glass stall onto the heated marble floor, grabbing a plush oversized white towel from the warming rack.
Val dried her damp hair, wrapping a second towel securely around her torso, tucking the corner tightly above her breasts.
Suddenly, her hand froze against the terrycloth asVal looked around the pristine steam-filled bathroom.
Her tactical mercenary suit was sitting in a ruined, shredded heap in the corner… scorched by fire, soaked in blood, and ruined beyond salvage so she had literally nothing else to wear.
Val’s pale cheeks flushed with a sudden heat as she chewed her lower lip, her fangs lightly pressing into the soft skin.
‘Am I really going to walk out there in just a towel?’ she thought, mortification threatening to swallow her whole. ‘After I… after I pissed myself twice?!’
Taking a deep breath, Val pushed open the heavy frosted-glass door of the bathroom and stepped out into the expansive master suite.
The Imperial Penthouse was quiet.
The ruined vase had already been swept away, the shattered debris vanished into thin air, and the room smelled of citrus.
Sitting on a low leather armchair near the window, Koya had discarded his bathrobe and was now wearing a clean pair of tailored black trousers and a loose unbuttoned grey linen shirt.
He was casually scrolling through a holographic interface floating above his wrist-comm, a glass of dark red wine resting on the small table beside him.
At the foot of the massive king-sized bed, Mable was still sprawled out among her silver platters, happily kicking her bare feet while watching an animated battle between cartoon dragons on the massive wall screen.
As Val’s bare feet clicked softly against the hardwood border of the bedroom, Koya glanced up from his screen.
His glowing crimson eyes swept over her from head to toe… taking in her wet hair, her bare shoulders, and the single white towel wrapped tightly around her chest that barely reached past her upper thighs.
Koya let out a dry, amused exhale through his nose.
“I see you managed to wash the smell of death off but you still look like a half-drowned stray, though.”
Val stiffened, her hands instinctively clutching the towel tighter against her chest, her pale skin burning with a bright, mortified pink hue.
“M-Master… my gear was destroyed during the breach. I don’t have… I don’t have any clothes.”
Koya shook his head slightly, reaching to the arm of the chair beside him.
He picked up a fresh folded black dress shirt… the spare from his executive luggage set and tossed it across the space between them.
SWISH!
The fabric drifted through the air as Val caught it with effortless enhanced reflexes, her obsidian nails lightly catching the fine imported cotton.
“Put that on for now,” Koya said, turning his gaze back to his comms window. “The hotel staff is delivering a tailored maid uniform for you tomorrow morning so until then, make do with that.”
“T-Thank you, Master,” Val murmured, bowing her head.
She turned her back toward the corner of the room, her fingers trembling slightly as she unfolded the black shirt.
Dropping the damp towel to the floor, she quickly slipped her arms through the sleeves and buttoned the front up to her collarbone.
Because Koya stood over six feet tall with broad athletic shoulders, the shirt was comically oversized on her slender athletic frame.
The hem fell well past the midpoint of her thighs, practically acting as a mini-dress, while the cuffs completely swallowed her hands, forcing her to roll the fabric back three times over her forearms to expose her wrists.
Beneath the thin black cotton, she was completely bare, a reality that made every cool draft of air in the penthouse send a sharp shiver down her spine.
Val stepped back into the center of the room, fidgeting with the oversized hem. “Master… I am ready.”
Koya stood up from his chair, stretching his shoulders until his joints popped with a satisfying crack.
He walked over to the bed, reaching down to gently ruffled Mable’s silver hair.
“Mable,” Koya said softly. “I’m taking our new stray down to the private facility for a bit. We need to run some combat calibrations before tomorrow evening.”
Mable paused mid-chew, a strawberry shortcake dangling from her fingers.
She looked up, her large crimson eyes blinking before a bright, cheerful grin spread across her face.
“Okay, Papa!” Mable chirped, waving her sticky fingers at them. “Good luck with your training, Miss Hitman! Don’t let Papa break your new fangs!”
Val offered a weak nervous bow to the small girl. “I… I will do my best, Lady Mable.”
Koya turned and walked toward the entrance foyer, motioning for Val to follow.
He stopped at the wall-mounted intercom panel beside the grand mahogany double doors, tapping the brass call-button.
BEEP!
“Yes, Lord Albano!” the breathless, eager voice of General Manager Marcus answered within a fraction of a second. “How may the management serve you at this hour?”
“Marcus,” Koya said smoothly, leaning his shoulder against the wall. “Does the Imperial Penthouse come equipped with an internal Awakened training room? I need to stretch my legs.”
“Ah! Yes, My Lord, absolutely!” Marcus stammered through the speaker. “The Sovereign Grand prides itself on catering to continental combat elites… To access the training facility, please open the private elevator control panel using your golden master keycard and press the lowest unmarked black button! It will take you directly to Sub-Level 4 which is a fully reinforced spatial arena built with anti-siege blast plating!”
“Good,” Koya replied. “One more thing. Are there surveillance feeds or monitoring arrays installed inside that arena?”
“There are high-speed analytical combat cameras installed for training review, My Lord,” Marcus explained carefully. “However, by VIP privacy protocol, they are completely powered down by default! They can only be activated manually from the interior control booth if the guest requests it!”
“Keep them deactivated,” Koya commanded flatly. “If I find a single lens recording while I am down there, I will come back up to your office and rip your arm off.”
Through the speaker, the sound of Marcus choking on his own saliva was loud and clear.
“Y-Y-YES, MY LORD! ABSOLUTELY DEACTIVATED! I swear on my life, no visual or auditory feed will be transmitted from Sub-Level 4!”
“Good.” Koya cut the connection with a tap of his finger.
He turned to the private elevator door in the penthouse hallway, pulling out his gold keycard and sliding it through the brass scanner.
The hidden compartment clicked open, revealing the sleek black button Marcus had mentioned.
Koya pressed it.
HISSSSS!
The elevator doors slid open smoothly as Koya stepped inside, his hands resting casually in his trouser pockets, and tilted his head toward Val.
“Get in.”
Val swallowed hard, adjusting the oversized hem of the black shirt that barely covered her thighs, and stepped into the elevator beside him.
The descent was silent and dizzying.
The digital floor indicator dropped from 90 to 80, plummeting past the ground lobby and plunging straight into the underground bedrock beneath Isle Supercity.
DING!
The heavy doors parted to reveal a massive training facility.
The room was vast… easily the size of two football fields surrounded by towering walls made of dark tungsten-alloy blocks inscribed with glowing blue anti-shock runes.
The ceiling arched fifty feet above their heads, fitted with industrial floodlights that bathed the polished stone combat floor in bright, white illumination.
In the center of the arena, heavy scorch marks and impact craters from past high-tier guests pitted the floor, speaking to the immense durability of the room.
Koya walked out into the center of the arena, his bare feet making no sound against the cold stone.
He turned around, facing Val, who stood twenty paces away, looking around the massive space with wide eyes.
“Listen closely, Val,” Koya said, his voice echoing clearly off the tungsten walls. “Your body absorbed my royal Vampire essence, shattered your three-liner limit, and forcefully evolved your core into a Blue Crest but raw power is completely useless if your instincts are still calibrated to a weak three-liner’s frame.”
Val stopped, looking down at her pale obsidian-tipped hands.
“You’ve never fought with a body this light, this fast, or this dense,” Koya continued, unbuttoning the cuffs of his linen shirt and rolling the sleeves up to his elbows. “Your brain will lag behind your physical speed unless we beat the lag out of you right now… I want you to attack me with everything you have. Explore every single capability of your new Vampire physiology so don’t hold back, because you won’t be able to scratch me anyway.”
