Hero’s Debt: The Superhero House Husband
Ch. 26 – A King In Chains
Rhys doubled down. The illusion of his neat, organized domestic life was unraveling thread by thread, but he refused to go down without a fight. He turned fully toward Dione, looking the voluptuous alien woman dead in the eye. On any normal suburban afternoon, she was the quiet, sweet housewife who practically worshiped Lira, always asking for superhero stories and bringing over homemade casseroles. The stark contrast between that innocent persona and the woman currently standing in his foyer, flushed with uninhibited desire, made Rhys’s stomach twist.
“Look, Dione,” Rhys said, his voice dropping into a stern, unyielding register he hadn’t used since his days on patrol. He crossed his arms, planting his feet firmly on the polished wood floor. “Vespera isn’t here. I am putting my foot down. I’m sorry, but you need to leave. Right now.”
For a split second, the air in the entryway grew heavy, dropping several degrees. A sudden, razor-thin chill swept through the hall as micro-droplets of condensation materialized in the air—a subtle, instinctive pulse of Dione’s latent rain-manipulation magic reacting to his rejection.
Yet, she didn’t throw a tantrum, nor did she argue. Instead, she took a single, agonizingly slow step forward, her sweet, shy demeanor completely melting away into a gaze of pure, unfiltered lust.
“Oh, Rhys...” Dione murmured, her voice sounding like the soft, rhythmic pitter-patter of summer rain.
She reached out, her hands roaming over his chest, feeling the hard, lean muscle beneath his cotton shirt. Rhys stood completely frozen, paralyzed by the sheer surrealism of the moment. He kept trying to rationalize it—trying to reconcile how this seemingly harmless, sweet housewife could harbor such a raw, dangerous side. Dione leaned in, trailing her soft lips along his jawline and pressing a lingering, feather-light kiss to the side of his neck.
Her touch was intoxicatingly gentle, yet filled with a terrifying, desperate hunger. She pulled his face down, pressing her plush, wet lips against his in a deep, agonizingly slow kiss that tasted like sweet rainwater.
Rhys pulled his head back, his hands gently but firmly holding her by her shoulders. “Dione, stop. I need an answer. What is Vespera doing?”
Dione lingered close, her breath warm and sweet against his lips as she whispered the dark truth directly into his mouth. “Vespera is tracking your phone’s GPS right now, Rhys...” she purred softly, her eyes gleaming with dark affection. “She told me that if she doesn’t see your location moving away from this house in five minutes, she’ll know I failed... and that you’re refusing to play along. And you know how she gets when her plans are interrupted.”
Rhys’s heart plummeted into his chest. That cold-hearted, manipulative witch. Vespera was ten steps ahead of him, holding every string, tracking every movement. He had no leverage. He had no escape.
Dione shuddered softly, catching herself as if suddenly remembering her orders. She took a reluctant step back, smoothing down her sundress, her face flushed with a heavy blush. “It’s... it’s time to go, Rhys. She’s waiting.”
“Where are we even going?” Rhys asked, his voice laced with bitter exhaustion.
Dione only offered him a sweet, secretive smile, turning toward the door.
Rhys followed her outside into the blinding afternoon sunlight, feeling like a condemned man walking to the gallows. Waiting at the curb was a sleek, jet-black luxury sedan with dark, impenetrable tinted windows. Standing rigidly beside the open rear door was a familiar figure in a crisp, tailored suit and spotless white gloves—Vespera’s personal driver.
Oh, joy, Rhys thought, dripping with mental sarcasm. My best pal.
The driver’s expression remained an absolute, unreadable mask of ironclad professionalism. Yet, as Rhys approached, the driver offered a subtle, almost imperceptible nod—a silent, unspoken acknowledgement that seemed to say: I know, buddy. Just get in.
The driver reached for the handle and pulled the heavy door wide open.
Rhys froze on the pavement, his breath catching in his throat.
Waiting inside the spacious, leather-appointed rear cabin were two women sitting side by side, looking like goddesses in a private sanctuary. On the left sat Rhea, the statuesque, golden-skinned Earth Genasi neighbor, dressed in an off-the-shoulder silk blouse that accentuated her radiant bronze complexion. On the right sat Ariadne, the sleek, dangerous retired villainess and Rhys’s former arch-nemesis, her dark eyes sparkling with predatory amusement.
Both women had been waiting expectantly for him, their poses languid, poised, and utterly inviting.
Before Rhys could even think about backing away, Dione placed her hands on his lower back and gave him a eager, breathless push from behind, tumbling him straight into the plush leather interior before sliding in right beside him and slamming the door shut.
The heavy door sealed with a solid, airtight thud. Rhys felt as though he had just been locked into an opulent, velvet-lined tomb.
Yet, as the luxury vehicle purred to life and smoothly pulled away from the curb, that tomb instantly transformed into every man’s wildest, most forbidden fantasy. Rhys was immediately enveloped in a sea of soft skin, intoxicating perfumes, and overwhelming affection. The three breathtaking women surrounded him completely, treating him not like a captive, but like an adored, cherished king.
Dione draped herself over his left side, resting her head on his shoulder while her hands roamed over his thighs. Ariadne leaned in from his right, running her long, manicured nails through his hair, pressing soft, purring kisses along his jaw. Across from them, Rhea smiled warmly, her golden skin glowing under the subtle ambient cabin lights. She reached for a crystal decanter, pouring a generous glass of rich, dark wine, and gently brought the rim of the glass to Rhys’s lips, feeding him the sweet liquid sip by sip.
Rhys swallowed the wine, the subtle heat of the alcohol doing little to cool the fire burning in the enclosed cabin. After a few minutes of being continuously kissed, stroked, and spoiled, Rhys finally found a split-second to gasp for air and speak up.
“Where... where is this car taking us?” Rhys demanded, looking between them, his voice raspy.
Ariadne let out a low, husky laugh, leaning over him until her dark hair fell around his face like a curtain. She slipped effortlessly back into her seductive, villainous persona, her tongue lightly darting out to wet her lips. “Now, hero... you know as well as I do that telling you would completely ruin the surprise.”
Rhys gritted his teeth, opening his mouth to protest. “Ariadne, I swear—”
He was cut short as he felt Dione’s soft hands sliding down his stomach, her fingers nimbly reaching for his belt buckle, preparing to strip his pants away.
Panic flared through Rhys. “Wait—Dione, no, hold on—” He reached down, gripping Dione’s wrists to stop her.
Before he could pull her hands away, Rhea reacted with fluid, gentle strength. The tall Earth Genasi leaned forward, taking Rhys’s right hand in her warm, golden fingers. Without a word of warning, she guided his hand upward and firmly pressed his palm straight onto her large, bare, golden bosom.
The impossibly soft, radiating warmth of her golden skin sent an electric shockwave straight to Rhys’s brain. His train of thought completely shattered. The intense, furnace-like Genasi heat radiating from her breast flushed through his entire body, his fingers instinctively sinking into the luxurious, unbelievable softness beneath his palm. He sat there, dazed, his mind getting hopelessly lost in the sensation.
On his other side, Ariadne seized the distraction. She wrapped a smooth arm around Rhys’s neck, pulling him into a soft, intoxicating kiss that tasted like dark cherries and sweet wine, her tongue lightly brushing against his as her hands roamed under his shirt, stroking his bare back.
Rhys leaned back against the leather headrest, his meager resistance crumbling into dust under the unholy, simultaneous assault on his senses. Trapped between three breathtaking, powerful women who were utterly devoted to pleasing him, a dark, confusing, and terrifying thought crossed his mind:
Do I even want to get away?
Seeking some sort of anchor to reality, Rhys awkwardly tilted his head up, his dazed eyes meeting the front rearview mirror.
Through the glass, he saw the driver’s eyes meet his. With practiced, mechanical perfection, the driver reached down and flipped a small chrome switch on the dashboard.
With a smooth, silent hum, a heavy, soundproof privacy partition rose from the divider, completely sealing the backseat off into total, pitch-black isolation. The driver truly was a consummate professional.
Before Rhys could even process the complete dark privacy of the cabin, he felt a sudden, intensely hot, wet warmth engulf him below as Dione unzipped him and took his entire length into her mouth in one smooth, eager motion.
Rhys’s head slammed violently back against the leather headrest, his eyes rolling back as a loud, sharp gasp of pure, unbridled excitement tore from his throat, echoing through the dark luxury car as it sped off into the afternoon.
