Chapter 721: Chapter 695: Sweeping Through the Profound Abyssal Rift

Su Yueling froze for a moment, wanting to speak, but upon seeing Xu Wuyi’s calm eyes, she swallowed her words.

Xu Wuyi took a few steps forward and halted at the outpost’s entrance. He didn’t draw his gun. Simply standing with his hands behind his back, his gaze fell on the surging Beast Tide in the distance.

Deep within his sea of consciousness, the pale blue Heart of Order trembled slightly. Immediately after, an invisible force expanded from his body, spreading in all directions. Wherever this force reached, the flow of air slowed, the transmission of light softened, and even the distant roars of the Star Beasts seemed muffled by an unseen barrier.

Standing behind him, Su Yueling and Zhao Kun clearly felt the change. They couldn’t see the Power of Order, but they could feel that the surrounding world had seemingly fallen silent in an instant. It wasn’t a dead silence, but something far more profound, as if the entire space were waiting for something.

Xu Wuyi raised his right hand, aiming it from afar at the oncoming Beast Tide. The horde had already charged to within two hundred meters of the outpost. In the vanguard, the Blade-toothed Beasts opened their massive, razor-filled maws, unleashing ear-piercing shrieks, their crimson eyes brimming with bloodthirsty madness.

Xu Wuyi’s expression remained placid as he gently clenched his right hand. Then, he spoke a single word.

“Deconstruct.”

The moment his voice faded, a terrifyingly immense power erupted from him. It was the Power of Order—a force at the level of Rules, a primordial power capable of plunging all established order into sheer Chaos.

With Xu Wuyi at its center, that power instantly enveloped the entire battlefield. Within a one-kilometer radius, all the Star Beasts froze at the exact same moment. They maintained their charging postures, jaws wide open and eyes glaring. Yet, in that split second, all the order within their bodies was utterly shattered.

The circulation of their Qi and Blood ceased. The flow of their consciousness halted. Even the fundamental Rules maintaining their physical forms descended into complete Chaos. Then, they began to disintegrate. They crumbled bit by bit into the most primordial Energy Particles, like sand sculptures scattered by the wind, like drops of ink dissolving in water.

From the Blade-toothed Beasts at the front, to the Commander Level Star Beasts in the middle, all the way to the Rock Armor Commander and the Shadow Leopard Commander. Over a thousand Star Beasts and two Great Commanders were entirely reduced to nothingness in less than three seconds.

The battlefield was swept spotlessly clean, without a single drop of blood left behind. Only faint Energy Fluctuations lingered in the air influenced by the Power of Order, proving that something had indeed happened here.

Only then did Xu Wuyi slowly lower his right hand. His months of research at the Red River had been dedicated to developing Techniques to deal with peers of the same level. Against these Star Beasts below the Beast King Level, he could now obliterate them effortlessly with a mere gesture.

A deathly silence loomed over the outpost’s entrance.

Standing behind Xu Wuyi, Su Yueling stared wide-eyed at the empty battlefield, paralyzed as if rooted to the spot. She had seen a Grandmaster strike before. Grandmaster Ren Bai had guarded this place for three years, occasionally making a move against Beast King Level Star Beasts. However, those strikes were aimed at Beast King Level powerhouses, not the Star Beasts beneath them. Because one could never know if a Beast King was secretly watching from behind a Beast Tide, if a Grandmaster struck first, they risked facing a sudden ambush.

At this level, losing the initiative often meant falling into a perilous disadvantage.

But what was this sight before her? Just raising a hand, clenching a fist, and uttering a single word. Over a thousand Star Beasts and two Great Commanders were just… gone?

Standing beside her, Zhao Kun’s mouth hung wide open. He couldn’t speak for a long time. He subconsciously touched the bandages on his left arm, recalling the bloody battle half a month ago. He remembered the terrifying scene of five Great Commanders leading thousands of Star Beasts to crash against their defensive line. Back then, they had fought for a full day and night. They sacrificed seven teammates and suffered over a dozen severe casualties, only barely managing to repel the Beast Tide.

But now…

He looked up at Xu Wuyi’s relatively average-sized back, an indescribable feeling welling up in his heart.

This was a Grandmaster. A true Grandmaster. An existence in a completely different world from Innate Martial Artists like them.

Su Yueling finally snapped out of her daze. Her lips moved to say something, but her throat felt dry.

Xu Wuyi didn’t look at her. He raised his head, looking once again at the violently distorting Rift in the distance. For that strike just now, he had deliberately used overwhelming power, allowing the Power of Order to blanket the entire battlefield. That aura of total annihilation should have already pierced through the Rift and reached the Star Beast nest on the other side.

This was exactly the effect he wanted. He wanted those Star Beasts hiding in the shadows to know that an existence they couldn’t afford to provoke had arrived. This would deter them from acting rashly in the short term, buying Grandmaster Ren Bai more time.

He turned around, looking at Su Yueling and Zhao Kun. “Any reactions from the other side of the Rift?”

The two of them froze for a second before shaking their heads in unison.

“We… can’t sense anything,” Zhao Kun replied truthfully. “The Energy Fluctuations on the other side are too strong. We can’t penetrate them at all.”

Xu Wuyi nodded, asking no further questions. He turned back around, gazing at the dark red Rift. His gaze pierced through the distorted energy and the chaotic space, seemingly peering straight into the standoff battlefield deep within the Rift.

Grandmaster Ren Bai was still inside, having been locked in a standoff with that Beast King for over two months. He had to go in. But before doing so, there was one more thing he needed to do.

He looked at Su Yueling and Zhao Kun, his tone growing serious. “I’m going in.”

The two of them were stunned simultaneously.

“There might only be one Beast King on the other side of the Rift, or there could be an ambush. If Grandmaster Ren and I don’t return within ten days, request backup from the military again.”

With that, Xu Wuyi turned and resumed his walk toward the Rift.

Behind him, more and more people emerged from the outpost entrance. Those Martial Artists—the heavily wounded, the lightly injured, and anyone who could still move—stood there in silence, watching his receding figure. Many among them had once fought shoulder-to-shoulder with Xu Wuyi. Back then, he had only been an Innate Martial Artist, risking his life on the front lines just like them. Every time a Beast Tide surged forth, he had always been the first to charge in, using his Liaoyuan fire to wipe out large swaths of Low-tier Star Beasts.

Now, he had advanced to become a Grandmaster, but that feeling remained unchanged. He was still the same man willing to charge at the very front.

In the distance, Xu Wuyi’s footsteps never stopped. He walked across the empty battlefield, passing through the air influenced by the Power of Order, stepping closer and closer to the violently distorting Rift.

The dark red energy grew denser, and the oppressive weight in the air grew heavier. That suffocating pressure was born from the tearing of space, the tides of energy, and the Chaos of the Rules. In such an environment, ordinary Martial Artists wouldn’t even be able to stand steadily.

But Xu Wuyi’s steps were steady, his expression perfectly calm.
