High Martial Arts: Enlightenment after Practices
Chapter 743: Martial Arts Taking Shape
“By circulating these two portions of power simultaneously without them interfering with each other, every attack will automatically carry an interference effect.”
Xu Wuyi looked at the proposal, deep in thought. This train of thought was much more systematic and profound than the methods he had explored on his own. He had previously treated those minor tricks as independent elements, mobilizing them temporarily each time he used them. But Ye Guanlan’s approach was to integrate them into the Spear Technique itself, making them an inherent part of it. These were two completely different approaches.
“How long will it take?” he asked.
Ye Guanlan thought for a moment before giving an estimate. “With your comprehension and control, you should be able to master it in about half a month.
“Although this method is exquisite, it is essentially a refined application of the Power of Heart Image. You have already optimized the transmission pathways, so making adjustments based on that foundation will go much more smoothly.”
Xu Wuyi nodded, saying nothing more. Over the next half month, he poured all his energy into practicing this new method.
The process was harder than he had imagined. Circulating two different powers simultaneously required extremely precise control. The slightest carelessness would cause the two powers to interfere with each other, significantly reducing the effectiveness of the attack. But Xu Wuyi was not impatient. He explored it step by step, adjusting little by little. By the evening of the fifteenth day, he finally succeeded.
In the Cultivation Room, he stood before the dummy he had used countless times, raised his spear, and lightly thrust forward.
This thrust was not fast; in fact, it could even be considered slow. But the moment the spear tip thrust forward, he clearly felt two different powers surge from his sea of consciousness. One portion condensed into an attack along the optimized pathway, while the other dispersed, forming an invisible interference field around the dummy. The two powers ran in parallel without conflicting or interfering with each other.
The moment the spear tip pierced the dummy’s body, a familiar feeling welled up in his heart. But this time, that feeling was more natural and fluid than before. He retracted his spear, stepped back, and closed his eyes to sense it. The interference field around the dummy was still operating. Although faint, it undeniably existed. That interference field would cause any perception entering this area to deviate, and it would make anyone who saw this thrust unable to accurately judge its trajectory.
He opened his eyes and looked at Ye Guanlan. Ye Guanlan was staring at the data on the light screen, a satisfied smile appearing on his face.
“Perfect,” he said. “The coordination rate of the two powers has reached over ninety-eight percent, with almost zero loss. Starting today, these tricks are no longer independent elements, but a part of your Spear Technique.”
Xu Wuyi lowered his spear and let out a long breath. Half a month of practice had finally yielded results. But Ye Guanlan did not let him rest for too long.
The next day, he came to the courtyard with a new proposal. This proposal was completely different from the previous ones.
“The Spear Technique has been perfected, and the minor tricks have been solidified.” Ye Guanlan sat down on the sofa and handed the data pad to Xu Wuyi. “Next, we should consider a new direction.”
Xu Wuyi took the data pad and quickly scanned its contents. At the beginning of the proposal was a new train of thought he had never considered.
“You previously mastered Gravity Rules,” Ye Guanlan said. “Although those Rules have now been absorbed by the Heart of Order, they haven’t disappeared. Instead, they’ve become a part of Order. From this perspective, your understanding of Gravity is more profound than that of most Martial Artists who specialize in it.”
Xu Wuyi nodded, waiting for him to continue.
Ye Guanlan pulled up a detailed deduction report. “Our team has recently been researching a topic called the artificial creation of Rules. It’s not about comprehending the Rules that inherently exist in heaven and earth, but using one’s own Power of Heart Image to create a Rule that originally didn’t exist.”
He pointed at the diagram on the proposal and began to explain in detail.
“For example, when you thrust your spear, you can artificially create a Rule within the range touched by the spear tip. This Rule could be ‘Gravity Imbalance,’ causing the Gravity Field in that area to suddenly fall into disorder, turning it upside down and confusing left and right.
“It could also be ‘Flame Suppression,’ rendering the Flame Rules in that area ineffective so that any Fire Attribute Energy can no longer circulate. It could even be ‘Time Dilation,’ slowing the flow of time in that area and making the enemy’s movements sluggish.”
As Xu Wuyi looked at those descriptions, an indescribable feeling welled up in his heart. Artificially creating Rules. He had previously considered this approach, but if he had to comprehend it on his own, it would have taken a very long time. The Rules that inherently existed in heaven and earth could be comprehended, borrowed, and integrated into Martial Arts. But artificially creating Rules elevated the Power of Heart Image to an entirely new level. It wasn’t borrowing Rules or applying Rules, but creating them. Within the range enveloped by his Power of Order, he would be the lawmaker.
