High Martial: I Use Everything as Swords

Chapter 504 - 317: This Advisor Han is The Real Deal

  • Next Chapter

High above Dragon’s Fang Island, a silver streak of light tore through the sea of clouds. With a low roar, it landed precisely on the tarmac of the main military port.

The hatch opened, and Han Feng, dressed in casual clothes, stepped out of the X-01 Prototype.

Garrison Commander Liu Zhen was already waiting. He looked at the young man before him, then at the futuristic aircraft, a complex mix of emotions stirring within him.

’How long has it been? This guy’s intimidating presence feels even stronger now.’

"Advisor Han, you’re here." Liu Zhen hurried forward to greet him, forcing a respectful smile onto his face.

"Yes. Lead the way," Han Feng said with a simple nod, his words concise.

Not daring to delay, Liu Zhen led the way, striding quickly toward the heavily guarded command building.

Along the way, Vanguard Army soldiers clad in jet-black Battle Armor and radiating fierce auras merely swept a cold glance over them before looking away.

Han Feng, however, had secretly activated his [Eye of Insight], taking in all the soldiers’ data.

[Talent Potential: Good Talent (Cyan)]

[Destiny: Crimson (Flourishing)]

’Not bad. Even the regular guards are at least at the Good Talent level, and their Destiny is flourishing. This Vanguard Army is a true elite force,’ Han Feng concluded.

Soon, they arrived at the door of the top-floor conference room.

Liu Zhen took a deep breath and pushed open the heavy doors.

The moment the doors opened, a dozen or so sharp gazes from within the conference room shot toward them.

Han Feng’s expression remained unchanged as he walked in calmly.

The Red Armored Elites present immediately perceived Han Feng’s Martial Arts Cultivation.

First Layer of the Enlightenment Realm.

They could sense that all thirty-six of his acupoints were open, forming a perfect circulatory loop. His foundation was terrifyingly solid.

But the gap in their realms was, ultimately, an undeniable weakness.

Someone at the First Layer of the Enlightenment Realm was simply nothing to look at in front of a group of Peak Powerhouses like them.

A flicker of barely perceptible disdain appeared in the eyes of a few of them, but it was quickly masked.

Meanwhile, Han Feng’s [Eye of Insight] had already finished scanning everyone in the room.

The twelve Red Armor Martial Artists seated on either side all uniformly possessed [Outstanding Talent (Blue)].

Their Destiny was Crimson, and their Spiritual Power was generally above 2,500 hertz.

And then there was the man at the head of the table, clad in dark gold Heavy Armor—Ye Jinghong.

[Name: Ye Jinghong]

[Talent Potential: Genius (Purple)]

[Destiny: Golden (Apex)]

[Root Bone: Mountain Dominating Body (Awakened)]

[Spiritual Power: 4,800 Hertz]

[Cultivation: Enlightenment Realm Peak (Suppressed)]

’His Spiritual Power is actually higher than mine?!’ Han Feng was slightly taken aback.

This was the first time he had met a peer whose Spiritual Power could rival his own.

Furthermore, his Cultivation, Root Bone, and Destiny were all top-tier, without exception.

As for the deputy beside him, Gu Jian.

[Name: Gu Jian]

[Talent Potential: Outstanding Talent (Blue)]

[Destiny: Crimson (Blazing)]

[Root Bone: Wind Spirit Body (Awakened)]

[Spiritual Power: 3,100 Hertz]

Han Feng remained outwardly impassive, but inwardly, he was ecstatic.

’Well, now. This isn’t a conference room; it’s an untapped field of prime specimens!’

He discreetly activated his system, copied all their data models, and tossed them into the Martial Arts Illusion Realm within the [Sword Tomb Space].

He wouldn’t have to worry about a lack of high-quality sparring partners anymore.

"Haha, you must be the renowned Advisor Han Feng, I presume?

I’ve long heard of your reputation. Seeing you in person today, you truly live up to the title of a young hero!"

While Han Feng was busy with his secret task, Gu Jian had already risen to his feet with a beaming smile. He strode toward Han Feng and enthusiastically extended his hand.

He acted with extreme familiarity, as if greeting a friend he hadn’t seen in years.

"You’re too kind, Deputy Gu." Han Feng shook his hand, a polite smile on his face.

"’Deputy’? Don’t be such a stranger.

I’m a few years older than you. If you don’t mind, just call me Brother Gu." Gu Jian patted Han Feng’s shoulder with an easy familiarity.

"Advisor Han, I’ve long heard of your astonishing feats. Slaying a Tier Four Grandmaster on the street while only at the Enlightenment Realm... it truly puts my generation to shame."

Gu Jian guided Han Feng, but not toward a seat. Instead, he spoke with a look of utter admiration on his face.

"I don’t have many hobbies, but I do love a good Martial Arts spar.

I wonder, would I have the honor of exchanging a few pointers with you today, Advisor Han?"

Listening from the side, Liu Zhen’s heart hammered in his chest. ’It’s starting already?’

Han Feng smiled. "You jest, Deputy Gu. How could my meager abilities possibly compare to an elite of the Vanguard Army like yourself?"

"Ah, you can’t say that."

Gu Jian waved his hands dismissively. "I’ve heard that your attainments in the Dao of the Divine Soul are incredibly profound, Advisor Han.

So how about this? We’ll have a ’civil’ contest, a battle of the Divine Soul. We’ll stop before anyone gets hurt. What do you say?"

As he spoke, he pulled a standard Spirit Coin from his pocket and tossed it in the air, catching it on his fingertips.

"We’ll use the Energy within this Spirit Coin as a medium and each display our skills.

We’ll see who has superior control over the Energy.

It’s a chance for us to compare notes without anyone getting hurt."

His words were flawless. He both gave Han Feng an honorable way out and framed the contest as a "friendly exchange," making it impossible to refuse.

The Red Armored Elites in the room all looked on, clearly expecting a good show.

They all knew that Gu Jian’s skill in applying the Divine Soul was ranked among the very best in the entire Vanguard Corps.

There could be no more fitting way to probe the depths of Han Feng’s abilities.

Han Feng was also curious to see what was so special about these "Celestial Prides" who had been nurtured with top-tier resources.

"Since Deputy Gu is so inclined, I’d be happy to oblige," Han Feng agreed without hesitation.
