Chapter 2955: Chapter 1173: Cloud Sea Matters Settled
The white mist solidified in the stone cave.
On the three-tier altar, the silhouette of the gentleman, supporting Zheng Qing’s consciousness form, silently appeared.
At this moment, Zheng Qing’s physical body, clad in metal armor, was hunched over, half-kneeling, and as the gentleman released the hand pressed on Zheng Qing’s shoulder, Zheng Qing’s consciousness, returning from higher dimensions, instantly collapsed, transformed into a gray-white torrent, and rushed into the metal armor, drilling into every tiny crevice on the armor.
Inhale!
Exhale!
As if the first breath after suffocation, the heavy and long sounds of inhaling and exhaling, filtered through the metal armor, seemed somewhat piercing. Along with this first breath, from the stone cave to the outside world’s Cloud Sea, the start button was pressed once more.
The solidified mist flowed again, the cheers of the cyan dragon echoed in the stone cave, and the launched Leviathan’s avatar curled into a ball, crashing heavily against the edge of the altar wall, provoking the relief of Artu Groot on the altar wall to roar and wave its arms in fury.
Cloud Sea World.
The tilted world again emitted an ominous creaking sound, the earth and sky continued to crack slowly, and blood-red talismans whistled through those crevices. The gigantic Taiyi waved several arms, striving to maintain balance, while a delicate young man holding a giant hammer lifted his head in confusion, glancing upwards.
The gentleman solemnly held up the Law book in his hand.
Simultaneously, a phantom of the Law book appeared in Zheng Qing’s hand, following the gentleman’s gaze, unfolding little by little before the young wizard’s eyes—
"The Book of Order."
"This is a guiding spell derived from the Forbidden Curse ’Order’ through a Law book, possessing the initial ability to activate the Forbidden Curse ’Order’ by tightly linking with the curse’s body, capable of absorbing the Forbidden Spell Aura dispersing from ’Order,’ and able to wield part of ’Order’s’ authority..."
The cover and title page flipped swiftly in the gentleman’s hands, and Zheng Qing could only catch a glimpse of a few lines.
The content of the Law book’s text vastly differed from his impressions. Inside, there were no dense spells, nor any ominous blood-red aura, only blank pages—Zheng Qing remembered clearly that the last time the gentleman opened this book, it contained a spell that looked complex and enormous, yet logically clear and sequential, with obvious and immense power.
"Order is the rule of the World, the measure of time, the reference for all individual activities."
A strange and mechanical voice emanated from mid-air, echoing in this small stone cave. The cyan dragon that had been excited and screaming a moment ago immediately noticed the unfamiliar figure floating in mid-air, like a chick whose neck was pinched, widening its eyes and mouth in shock, frozen in place, while the launched Leviathan still hadn’t recovered, shaking its head vigorously, looking for its vanished hammer.
"Order is to the World as balance is to weight, the plumb line is to straight, and the rule is to square and round. Order makes reason possible, within Order, all existence must follow Order, which is called ’destiny’!"
"Hence it is said, destiny is called nature, following nature is called the way, cultivating the way is called teaching. How is it taught? By settling cause and effect, resolving doubts, discerning sameness and difference, clarifying right and wrong!"
These words, like a gentle breeze, wove around the stone cave, and Zheng Qing saw clearly that these voices seemed to be automatically generated after the gentleman opened the Book of Order.
Accompanied by these words, the gentleman extended a finger and wrote a sentence on the blank first page of the Law book—
"No Leviathan’s avatar."
Then, in the shocked gaze of Zheng Qing, the Leviathan’s avatar, which had just found its hammer, was wiped out of existence, as if an invisible eraser erased a chalk drawing—from foot to head, it didn’t even feel anything until the eraser reached its neck, and it looked down bewilderedly, seemingly perplexed as to why the hammer it was swinging didn’t hit the nearby dazed cyan dragon.
Then it saw an empty green stone floor.
No belly, no legs, no arms, and the hammer it had just picked up clattered to the floor with a dull thud, possibly the last sound this Leviathan’s avatar would hear.
The ’eraser’ decisively, calmly erased its last hair strand.
A legendary avatar vanished silently from the world—oh, not completely ’silently,’ its last act was a sound with the hammer—this slightly cold thought crossed Zheng Qing’s mind.
The cyan dragon stood still in place, seemingly trying to disguise itself as a pillar.
The gentleman glanced at it.
Ignored it.
Instead, he looked down at the young wizard in a daze on the altar.
"Did you understand?"
Zheng Qing nodded slightly, yet somewhat doubted if he could leave words on the Book of Order, or whether the words he wrote would really come true.
The gentleman paid no attention to the young wizard’s little dilemma at the moment, but instead looked at another phantom on the altar—that was the opponent from the outside, simulated by the altar, the real Leviathan—in theory, this phantom would only reflect the real opponent outside of Taiyi, it was convenient for the controller to battle against, it was not a creature, much less capable of sensing questions inside the stone cave.
But the gentleman holding the Book of Order ignored this rule:
"Did you see this?"
He asked the Leviathan’s phantom on the altar.
Cloud Sea World.
Taiyi suddenly widened its eyes, between it and Leviathan, at some unknown time, a figure of the gentleman holding the Book of Order also appeared. Compared with the giant next to it, he was like a grain of rice, yet emitted endless colors, the entire world seemed to be filled by this tiny grain of rice.
Leviathan’s delicate face turned extremely pale.
A drop of cold sweat slowly seeped from his smooth forehead. Considering the nature of a legend and the essence of his true self, this scene was not easy, equivalent to a merman shedding tears.
The delicate young man decisively dropped the hammer in his hand, letting it whistle down to the ground, then kneeled on one knee, bowing to the gentleman: "I saw it, sir."
Everyone can be called ’sir,’ but there is only one person who is everyone’s ’sir.’
Zheng Qing, on the altar, perceived all of this, with a slight sigh in his heart.
"Come here."
The gentleman beckoned to the delicate young man, motioning him to come forward, gently flicked, leaving a cobweb-like crack on his forehead, then nodded very slightly: "Your physical quality is not bad. Receiving this ends today’s cause and effect. No more mischief in the future. Remember to repair this world... and you, you two take half each."
He looked up at the towering Taiyi beside him.
The giant figure of the Legendary Giant was crouched carefully in front of the gentleman, hugging its knees, nodding earnestly.
