Chapter 2962: Chapter 1180: Bamboo Shoot

Abraham.

No introduction was needed; upon seeing the white-robed elder, Zheng Qing’s mind immediately flashed with the name.

Zheng Qing knew very little about this name.

However, he had seen this name in some reference books in the library; whether it was the same person, he did not know.

The Abraham in the books was an ascetic, and the white-robed elder now before Zheng Qing, dressed plainly with rough skin, indeed seemed like a weather-beaten ascetic.

For some unknown reason, Zheng Qing always felt that the white robe appeared somewhat darkened.

The young wizard dared not speak or ask about the old panda’s evaluation.

He only dared to maintain composure, with eyes on his nose and nose on his heart, standing properly beside the gentleman, ears perked up - Leviathan’s performance was no better than Zheng Qing’s; at least when previously beside the gentleman, it was still breathing.

"—I’m glad you’ve finally realized this point. For dangerous existences like Abraham, it’s never too late to stay away at any time."

A slightly effeminate voice sounded from the other side, and Zheng Qing couldn’t help but slightly lift his eyelids to see a red-haired wizard, hard to distinguish between genders, standing beside the old panda with a smile. Being aware of the boy’s curious gaze, he kindly nodded.

The gaze was gentle, without a trace of hostility.

This was the Demon Ancestor.

Zheng Qing immediately concluded.

Because, as the red-haired wizard appeared, another white-robed wizard also appeared beside Zheng Qing, possessing striking red-blue eyes and an aura identical to the incarnation now curled inside ’Taiyi’.

R’lyeh.

Once the Sea Demon King, now a newly ancient being, the white nova in the sky.

Although it was only a fleeting glimpse, Zheng Qing clearly saw that R’lyeh bore a six or seven-point resemblance to the Demon Ancestor in appearance. This instantly stirred up a series of melodramatic questions in his mind.

Like Zheng Qing and the others, R’lyeh wisely maintained silence.

A somewhat heavy gaze fell upon Zheng Qing, causing him to awkwardly shift his shoulder. The white-robed wizard looked at the young wizard with an indifferent gaze, devoid of emotion, as if not hearing the old panda and Demon Ancestor’s teasing:

"—Order should not be handed to a child."

Saying this, the white-robed elder looked at Zheng Qing, but Zheng Qing knew the words were not directed at him: "Shed the armor your teacher placed upon you, what do you have left?"

Self-detonation.

The young wizard murmured inwardly, while his eyes shifted to the gentleman, seeing the gentleman speechless, he immediately realized he was being urged to answer the question.

"Maybe hope?"

In his mind flashed many phrases the gentleman once told him, recalling many things he had once read, somewhat nervous, yet somewhat shy, he looked at the white-robed elder: "—I remember someone once said, the world is yours and ours, but ultimately it’s ours. We are full of vitality, in a thriving period, like the sun at eight or nine in the morning, hope rests upon us."

He appeared not at all embarrassed, displaying serious earnestness.

The white-robed elder’s brow furrowed slightly, seemingly wanting to say more.

Zheng Qing took a deep breath and continued: "—Just as the gentleman recently said, we are like a blank sheet of paper, our worldview yet unfixed, most adaptable to this rapidly changing era. As the world restructures, we grow with the world, becoming a part of it. Concepts already ’matured’ before world restructuring will be out of touch with the present world, considered heretical; concepts that ’mature’ only after world restructuring will have a disconnection, likely viewed as monstrous. So, I might be regarded as a monster by the old world, while you all might definitely be heretics of the new world."

Several ancient beings simultaneously put on serious expressions.

The remaining three large stars in the sky also flickered slightly.

Clap! Clap!

The sound of applause, though not very enthusiastic, reached Zheng Qing’s ears, the gentleman clapped his hands, satisfied yet regretful, sighing: "You seeing this step is much better than I anticipated... It’s a pity, a pity, if you were a true legend now, that statement a moment ago would have been accompanied by ’Heavenly flowers in bloom’ ’Earth bursting golden lotus’ ’Exotic fragrance bursting forth’ ’Red light illuminating the face’ scenes."

Before the words fell.

Scarlet flowers descended from the sky, covering the boy completely. Subsequently, white lotus flowers sprouted from the ground, lifting the boy off the ground. The air was filled with a peculiar fragrance, and a beautiful red halo appeared behind Zheng Qing’s head, enhancing his majesty.

Zheng Qing was bewildered.

The gentleman was at a loss.

The other ancient beings seemed indifferent.

"How about it?"

The panda clapped its paws, glanced around smugly: "Told you the kid likes this style, easy enough... What else do you want? Yin Yang Splitting Dawn? Sea Rising Moon? Galaxy Falling Nine Heavens?"

Zheng Qing frantically waved his hands, drenched in sweat.

"—Or perhaps, you prefer food?"

The old panda flipped its paw and stuffed a tender bamboo shoot into the boy’s arms, whispering in an audible whisper: "Relax, good stuff, I heard the Demon Ancestor, that shameless old fellow, used that little crow’s hand to plant his spirit seed on you? Sneaky won’t amount to anything! Eat my bamboo shoot to aid digestion, improve appetite, feel robust, without concern for that ridiculous spirit seed!"

The red-haired youth cast a glance at the panda.

"What’s wrong with becoming a demon?" he chuckled softly, yet his tone shifted, "Moreover, without your bamboo shoot, this child wouldn’t become a demon... We have no fate together."

Zheng Qing was moved to tears.

He cradled the bamboo shoot in his arms, hesitated briefly.

This time, he did not immediately look at the gentleman.

The gentleman was bound to leave, so he ought to learn to make decisions himself.

Several seconds later, he lifted the bamboo shoot tip, stuffed it into his mouth, crunch, took a bite. The mouthful was fragrant and crisp, instantly making him feel he was eating some most desired fruit, yet couldn’t identify which one, merely resisting the urge to take another bite.

But he forcefully controlled that impulse, looked up at the gentleman.

The gentleman smiled faintly, giving a gentle nod.

The boy licked his lips, once more looked at the old panda, bowed his head: "—Thank you, senior."

The old panda happily took out another bamboo shoot, followed suit, took a bite. Thus, a person and a panda, bite after bite, enjoyed the snacks before several ancient beings.

Leviathan silently swallowed, thinking this world was too awful.
