Chapter 3059: Chapter 72: The New Conference Room

Like the neighboring D&K, San You Bookstore also has an attic.

With an attic, there’s a staircase.

With a staircase, one can enter the Seven Sins’ meeting room.

Zheng Qing wore the ruby ring, descended seven steps on the staircase, then walked back up three, down another five, and back up one.

Previously, when he was studying at school, he thought this process was filled with the unique charm of ritual magic. But after encountering legendary figures, Zheng Qing had gained a broader perspective. He easily sensed the strong style of ’ritual magic’ from this procedure - in his memory, this type of magic was often related to priestly or worship activities. In other words, this ritual magic is not something unregistered little wizards at school could accomplish.

Even the most talented little wizard couldn’t manage.

With this thought, a faint red flash passed through Zheng Qing’s eyes as he carefully observed the changes in time and space around the staircase.

San You Bookstore was originally built at the intersection of high-dimensional and low-dimensional spaces, and compared to other places in the world, the dimensional lines here were naturally weaker and more complex. In the eyes of a young legend, several unfamiliar dimensional lines emerged from the void, hesitantly latching onto the staircase of San You Bookstore.

The faint red in his eyes faded away.

As expected, Zheng Qing saw white mist silently rolling out from below the stairs, quickly engulfing the entire staircase.

"——It’s not easy for the school to nurture a miracle, don’t go messing it up with clumsy hands!" The Yellow Flowered Cat stretched its neck, shouting into the staircase.

"Got it, got it... I’m not a kid anymore."

Zheng Qing waved his hand, crossing through the white mist without looking back. Before long, he reached an understated bronze secret door at the mist’s end.

Such an intricate structure.

He marveled inwardly - just the Seven Sins’ method of connecting surpassed the capabilities of many families or organizations within the Alliance, even bringing a hint of legend.

This ’legend’ isn’t legendary in rank, rather it resembles the concept of legendary level pursued by wizards.

Much like the school’s Book Mountain Library or the Ring Mansion corridor, many magical entities with some age gradually acquire a hint of legend in the mouths of people. Yet, unlike wizards, this legendary hint cannot bring these magic creations to life or make them a true legend, only granting them a bit of legendary level ability.

Clearly, the Seven Sins’ meeting room is similar.

The ability to permeate the Protect Legal Formation of the First University, transcend temporal constraints, and connect to different staircases - merely pondering it reveals how amazing this capability is.

The ’Earth Dragon Express’, for which the Alliance expended substantial resources, is on par.

With this sentiment.

Zheng Qing’s gaze fell on the ghost face on the bronze door and the intricately hollowed-out runes surrounding it.

"——Good evening."

The young legend amiably greeted.

"Ho ho... hiss?!"

The ghost face began to emit a shrill laughter, but abruptly swallowed it back, its rigid lines seemingly melting into a flattering expression: "——Hello, esteemed legend, is there anything I can assist you with?"

Zheng Qing suspected if it had a pair of hands, it would be rubbing them like a fly.

"You don’t recognize me?" Zheng Qing couldn’t help but smile.

"Of course, my lord... You are the most magnificent Sin Bearer in the history of the Seven Sins." The blue ghost face flattered without hesitation: "The first time you came, I determined you are the most suitable Sin Bearer."

Zheng Qing scratched his ear.

Back then, this ghost face was far less courteous.

"——How did you know I’m legendary now?"

Curious, he pursued the question – currently, he hadn’t utilized any legendary level magic power, theoretically, his magic level shouldn’t differ much from an ordinary registered wizard.

The ghost face complimented: "The ancients said ’Dragons can be great or small, ascend or hide; great, they raise clouds and mist; small, they hide themselves. Ascend, they soar between the universe; hide, they lurk within waves’... Legends are similar to this. Just by standing at the door, our whole meeting room becomes radiant - it’s my honor, and the glory of the Seven Sins."

"——Hiss hiss, sounds like this meeting room has a ’brilliance filling the room’ type of magic solidified." The blue snake gracefully lowered its head, hissing analytical whispers next to Zheng Qing’s ear.

Zheng Qing felt the bronze secret door seemed to start quivering.

"Open the door."

He laughed and gave an order, recalling that he hadn’t changed into the Seven Sins’ attire: "Oh, wait, I haven’t put on my mask and gloves."

"No, you need not disguise anything; the Seven Sins’ meeting room is your greatest disguise." The blue ghost face flattered, its voice syrupy, as the door silently opened.

White mist surged inside like flowing water.

Zheng Qing stepped over the threshold.

The originally narrow and dim meeting room began to expand suddenly.

The low ceiling continuously vaulted upward, like the ribcage of a giant beast taking a deep breath, thousands of ribs interweaving into a high dome, with a faint sulphur scent seeping between the ribs.

The surrounding walls crumbled during the expansion, replaced by tall columns, under which were drum-like skins, with dense evil spells wriggling across the column bodies. Just a glance triggered dizziness.

The original meeting table vanished.

Located directly below the dome was a narrow molten lava pool. Surrounding the pool were eight high-backed chairs—seven forged from black iron, with scarlet chains entwining the backrests and armrests; the remaining one carved from obsidian, with a golden scale to its left and a bloodshot eyeball to its right.

"——Ah, such a delightful environment!" The sound of the blue snake carried a hint of surprise.

Zheng Qing shielded his face with his hand and walked forward two steps.

White mist rolled at his feet, and with each step, faces contorted in agony appeared on the floor, as if prisoners suffering punishment in hell.

"——Too exaggerated! Too exaggerated!"

The young legend finally couldn’t contain himself, halting the meeting room’s frenzy of decor and chided: "This is just a hangout for a few students exchanging some underground intel; why do you make it feel like a place for a real devil meeting? Change it back! Revert it all! Just a hint is enough!"

"But..." White mist condensed under Zheng Qing’s feet into a ghost face with fawning expression.

Zheng Qing stomped his foot, shattering it.

"——No buts!"
