Chapter 3083: Chapter 96: A Plan Cut Short

Villand didn’t know what the ’White Ding’ mentioned by the Little Witch meant, but intuitively guessed it referred to those ten new recruits behind him who had no abilities.

At this moment, however, he was in no mood to worry about such details.

As soon as he stepped off the whale ray, his heart sank abruptly. The ’two-pronged approach’ plan discussed earlier within the North American team had declared bankruptcy before it even began.

The ’First Square’ mentioned in the broadcast was a massive square paved with Han Baiyu Stone. The white stone slabs were nearly free of dust, making the sunlight falling on the square seem a bit clearer.

In the center of the square stood a tall stone platform.

A magnificent stone gate stood on the platform, with a black triangular emblem hanging in the center of the lintel. The pillars on either side of the gate were inscribed with a maxim from the Huaxia Region—Learning without thought is labor lost; thought without learning is perilous—Villand recalled that the America Supreme Court Building’s lintel bore the sculpture of the sage who uttered this phrase.

The whale ray landed on the edge of the square.

Also parked in this area was a massive chariot drawn by three jet-black Fire Dragons; a tall Tree Man sitting obediently next to it, hugging its knees; a metal sphere emitting a silver sheen; and a silver-white ancient castle floating in mid-air—Villand could clearly see that whether it was those Fire Dragons or the tall Tree Man, they all hinted at the Light of the Soul, which could only be touched upon reaching Fourth-tier after reincarnation, although the sheen was murky, yet in the Main God Space, any reincarnator team had them as genuine core members, whereas here, they were pulling the cart and serving as mounts.

In comparison, the whale ray used by the Shuoges Planet delegation appeared rather shabby.

If it were just about those carriage animals, it wouldn’t necessarily shake Villand’s confidence.

Upon seeing the faint green light emanating from that Tree Man and its docile manner, he instinctively expanded his Divine Sense and easily sensed that there were at least over ten Fourth-tier powerhouses around this enormous square, whose overwhelming auras were like several towering mountains, firmly guarding the square.

Or rather, ’locking’ it in.

Villand suspected that those dozen Fourth-tier powerhouses had constructed some sort of Array, because he could sense their existence yet was unable to pinpoint their locations.

Apart from these, there was an even more powerful presence, far exceeding the Fourth-tier, wandering openly above those ’mountains.’

It was described as ’obscure’ because the low-level reincarnators in the team did not notice that presence.

But to the three of them, Fourth-tier reincarnators, that presence was as glaring as the Sun above, its aura pouring down like sunlight covering every corner of the square, sparing not a single nook.

Not showing the slightest courtesy towards guests.

Just openly monitoring everyone on the scene.

Villand dared to bet with an S-grade side plot that if any team member deviated from the activity range specified by the school regulations, the powerful presence would undoubtedly catch it immediately.

As for the consequences, he didn’t want to guess.

Originally intended to act separately, Jason silently followed behind him, completely having no desire to leave the team. Lilith even wrapped her blood-red robe more tightly around herself, as if the ’sunlight’ was exceptionally painful to her.

"—This doesn’t seem to be the way to treat guests."

The Blood Moon Witch muttered softly, seemingly speaking to Villand, yet also as if speaking to that powerful presence far exceeding the Fourth-tier: "I wonder if any guests might be dissatisfied because of this..."

Villand’s heart skipped a beat.

He instinctively looked around.

Then the glimmer of hope he’d just risen up was once again shattered.

The guests who had arrived at the First Square together with the Shuoges Planet delegation, as indicated by the broadcast, were as docile as sheep, obediently following behind those young Wizards of no more than Second Rank, not one expressing the slightest dissent towards the humiliation that was nearly like an ’escort.’

Those Fourth-tier powerhouses surrounding the square and the suspected Fifth-tier presence did not react at all to Lilith’s soft complaints.

The North American team members, with their experience in surviving in the Reincarnation World for a long time, quickly adjusted their mindset.

"—Sorry, this is our first time here, we’re not familiar with the rules of your place."

Villand placed his hand on his chest and courteously apologized to the Little Witch wearing a light green robe, the sunlight above accentuating his bright golden hair and handsome appearance, making him seem very convincing: "Is this place not open to ordinary people? ... I’m Villand, the leader of the Shuoges Planet delegation, these two are my deputies, Lilith and Jason."

"Ah... Hello, Mr. Villand; Hello, Miss Lilith; Hello, Mr. Jason."

The Little Witch named Zheng Susu politely returned the greeting and then earnestly answered: "The school did not specifically prohibit White Ding from attending the observation ceremony... but since it is currently the Moon Hunting period, inevitably some Ghost Tribe or other Moon Clan guests will arrive, and White Ding, that is ordinary people, might not be able to withstand their presence."

Moon Hunting, Ghost Tribe, Moon Clan.

Villand captured three fresh terms.

"—If you mind, you can let them remain in your whale ray while you attend the ceremony and go back together afterward... If you don’t mind, we need to hurry and pass through the First Gate!" The Little Witch pointed to the tall stone gate on the distant platform.

Leaving the newcomers behind was not an option.

The only main task issued by the Main God this time, which must be completed, was ’observation,’ staying in the whale ray belly would prevent any task from being completed.

"—Oh, they won’t mind." Lilith made the decision for the newcomers.

Villand nodded slightly to show his agreement.

"In that case..." The Little Witch drew out her voice a little.

"Sorry," Jason suddenly spoke, simply asking: "I want to know about our whale ray..."

"Don’t worry, the School Works Committee has specialized breeders to take care of them."

Zheng Susu evidently had heard this question more than once and answered very adeptly: "The experienced school workers of the First University are Great Wizard Level, more than capable of looking after these little ones!"

"What do you mean by Great Wizard level?" Villand asked cautiously.

The Little Witch looked at him strangely, with a hint of curiosity in her eyes: "Aren’t you three Great Wizard Level yourselves? Isn’t this the Alliance’s unified standard? What do you call Great Wizards on your planet?"

"—Fourth-tier." Villand hesitantly glanced at his watch and simply replied.

"Then what rank am I?" The Little Witch became increasingly interested.

"—You should belong to First Rank."

The Black Cat lying on Zheng Susu’s shoulder suddenly spoke—Villand’s eyes twitched slightly, as before it spoke, he had always thought it was just an ordinary little black cat—only to see the Black Cat analyzing seriously: "Possessing certain Magic Power, but still lacking slightly in control over the body... Am I correct?"

"Absolutely correct, Your Excellency." Villand answered respectfully.

The Black Cat seemed to appreciate this very much and accepted his compliment grandly, then raised its tail tip to point at the other experienced members of the delegation: "—They belong to our high-level Registered Wizards here, should be Third-tier, right?"

"Wait, you mean they’ve divided Registered Wizards into two stages?" The Little Witch sounded a bit surprised: "Can Registered Wizards be divided further?"
