Chapter 472 - 472: Is That All You've Got?

Feng Qi had speculated about the black shadow's motives for creating the war machines, suspecting they were intended for future invasions of other Domain Fields, allowing it to plunder resources from other races.

Many technological weapons were restricted by the rules of the Domain Fields and couldn't function at full capacity within them.

Spirit energy weapons, however, were exempt from these limitations.

By deploying dozens of war machines simultaneously before a Domain Field and supplying them with sufficient energy, they could level the entire field without even needing to enter it.

The war machines currently in use were merely preliminary test versions.

Feng Qi had researched the subject and knew that the future vision for these machines was as mobile war fortresses.

For example, once a large number of war machines arrived at a designated location, they could combine to form a small city, quickly establishing a strategic advantage for their side.

Faced with the war machines' relentless barrage of firepower, Feng Qi knew he couldn't afford to delay.

If the war machines weren't dealt with swiftly, casualties among the Dawn Army's rear lines would mount every second.

Just as Feng Qi was about to close in on a war machine, the sky lit up as bright as day. Countless white beams surged from behind the Dawn Army's ranks, converging in mid-air. A moment later, a white crane materialized and hurtled toward the war machine at breakneck speed.

Boom!

The energy-formed crane struck the war machine with tremendous force. The impact sent shockwaves rippling outward, hurling debris in all directions. Nearby skyscrapers swayed violently under the aftershocks, their foundations groaning under the strain.

Feng Qi turned to see a group of unfamiliar Dawn warriors hovering in the air, clad in the uniforms of the military department. They were arranged in a circle, continuously channeling energy toward the center, where the nascent form of the white crane was coalescing.

The combined strike from the military department warriors proved remarkably effective against the war machine. The first layer of armored plating shattered and peeled away, revealing the gleaming white metal beneath—the second layer of defense.

Yet even with this damage, the war machine's relentless assault showed no signs of abating.

The war platform above the war machine's back relentlessly unleashed a barrage of ranged weapons. As each wave of attacks concluded, the weapons entered a cooling and reloading phase, only for a new assault to swiftly follow.

Feng Qi's figure now stood before the war machine.

While the war machine's destructive power was formidable, Feng Qi knew its fatal flaw: its immense bulk rendered it incapable of agile movement.

Once breached and attacked from within, it would become a sitting duck.

If Feng Qi had recognized this weakness, the black shadow undoubtedly had as well.

Scanning beams from beneath the war machine swept toward the approaching Feng Qi. Immediately afterward, metallic spheres roughly two meters in diameter began rolling out from the machine's underbelly.

Upon hitting the ground, these spheres rapidly transformed into mechanical dogs.

They were part of the war machine's defense system, known as "war guardian."

Whenever the war machine's scanning beams detected non-allied units approaching, the internal defense system activated, deploying the war guardian to eliminate any enemy lifeforms nearing the machine.

Feng Qi's approach clearly activated the war machine's defense system.

In addition to the war guardian, rows of gun barrels extended from the war machine's underside, precisely locking onto his figure.

A dense barrage of spirit energy bullets instantly rained down upon him.

Feng Qi didn't even bother to dodge.

The Blood Source Form had granted him unparalleled physical resilience and regenerative abilities. Even though the spirit energy bullets possessed formidable destructive power, they couldn't penetrate his body's defenses.

When he closed within a hundred meters of the war machine, the war guardian charged at him.

Feng Qi met them head-on with a decisive punch.

Bang!

The war guardian facing him was struck by his powerful blow, sending it flying backward. Its body rapidly disintegrated mid-air, scattering metal components across the ground.

Dark-green flames clung to the war guardian's surface, searing its mechanical frame.

With a single punch, the war guardian was rendered combat-incapable. The blue light in its eyes slowly dimmed as its body crashed to the ground, the dark-green flames corroding its metallic shell into blackened ruins.

Continuing his advance, Feng Qi paralyzed each war guardian with a single punch.

The war machine's specially forged metal alloy body proved no match for Feng Qi's raw power, and its arsenal of spirit energy weapons couldn't even scratch him.

The only problem was the sheer number of war machines blocking his path.

Feng Qi had no intention of getting bogged down in a stalemate with the war guardian.

With the war machines firing at full capacity, dawn warriors were dying every second under the relentless barrage.

He had to disable the war machines quickly.

Brutally smashing through several war guardian, he reached the base of a war machine. Leaping high into the air, he grabbed onto one of the machine's stabilizing metal arms with his left hand and nimbly climbed upward.

As a hail of fire rained down around him, Feng Qi's heart began to race, his movements accelerating in response.

Scaling the stabilizing arm, he reached the war machine's firing platform.

The deafening roar of cannons exploded in his ears, and the blinding flashes of fire completely obscured his vision.

Having successfully boarded the war platform, Feng Qi began his rampage. With each swing of his fist, another spirit energy weapon was smashed to pieces.

Feng Qi advanced with overwhelming force, crushing everything in his path.

In less than five minutes, he had smashed every weapon on the war platform.

With only the external weapons of the war machine still operational, the entire platform was paralyzed, incapable of launching large-scale fire strikes.

Standing at the center of the war platform, Feng Qi took a deep breath, clenched his fists, and slammed them violently into the platform.

Boom!

A deafening roar echoed as the platform's central section caved in.

Feng Qi continued to unleash a relentless barrage of punches. Under his brutal assault, the entire platform crumbled, its weapon wreckage tumbling into the war machine's interior.

Seizing the opportunity, Feng Qi followed the debris into the war machine's interior.

Before him lay a labyrinth of power cables, multicolored lights flashing erratically, and the thunderous hum of the operational energy core.

Without hesitation, he charged toward the power grid wall.

With arcs of electricity crackling around him, the wall shattered, causing the still-functioning war machine to tilt sharply to one side.

After tearing apart the bundled cables on the left, Feng Qi continued his rampage.

His relentless rampage shattered the war machine's internal signal chamber, leaving the external war guardian paralyzed and motionless without a signal source.

Smashing his way forward, Feng Qi reached the war machine's core energy supply area.

Before him stood a row of waist-high, blue energy cores, embedded in a metal framework that powered the entire war machine.

Feng Qi reached out and touched one of the blue energy cores, instantly coating it with dark-green flames.

In the blink of an eye, the energy core chamber was engulfed in dark-green flames. The blue energy cores flickered erratically under the scorching heat, becoming dangerously unstable, as if on the verge of exploding.

After Feng Qi breached the chamber and emerged from the war machine's interior, he glanced back just as the war machine erupted in a thunderous explosion. Metal debris rained down, pelting his face and body.

"Hah, is that all you've got?"
