Chapter 128 — Flying Car
After fantasizing for quite a while, Vesey finally calmed down and raised her head.
Hermione was sitting opposite her, holding a book and reading.
"Hermione, when did you get here? Why didn’t you wake me?"
Vesey rubbed her eyes and asked as though she had just woken up.
Hermione smiled.
"I just got here."
In fact, she had been there for quite a while. But when she saw Vesey sleeping so peacefully with her eyes closed, she hadn’t wanted to disturb her.
"Are you hungry? I brought sandwiches. One for each of us."
Hermione took a sandwich Mrs. Granger had prepared out of her bag.
Vesey happened to be hungry, so she happily took it and immediately took a big bite.
"It’s delicious!"
she said loudly.
Hermione couldn’t help laughing when she saw her smile.
She had also brought Vesey a drink.
After Vesey had eaten and drunk her fill, she suddenly thought of Harry.
She knew it was time to start "acting."
"I wonder what my brother is doing. Hermione, I want to find him."
Vesey stood up.
She headed out of the compartment.
Hermione looked at her hesitantly.
She didn’t know whether she should tell Vesey that Harry and Ron had taken the Weasley family’s flying car.
She was worried that telling her would only make Vesey more anxious.
But if she said nothing, Vesey might become even more worried.
Hermione was caught in a dilemma, so she could only take things one step at a time and follow Vesey.
Vesey didn’t mind.
She began searching from the front of the train all the way to the back.
She carefully looked inside every compartment before saying with a disappointed expression:
"Sorry, I’m looking for my brother. Sorry to disturb you."
She was so beautiful and adorable that nobody became annoyed when she opened their compartment door.
Instead, they happily contributed some Energy Points to her.
Some students even invited Vesey into their compartments for snacks.
But Vesey had just eaten her fill.
How could she possibly go?
So she politely declined, saying that she was looking for Harry and didn’t want to eat.
As Vesey continued searching, everyone on the train learned that she was looking for Harry.
Some students even volunteered to check other compartments and ask whether anyone had seen Harry and Ron.
Vesey searched all the way to the final carriage.
When she discovered that Harry and Ron weren’t there either, a look of panic appeared on her face.
"Hermione, my brother definitely didn’t get on the train.
"It’s all my fault. It’s all my fault. I shouldn’t have slept. I should have stayed awake and kept watch..."

Vesey’s words immediately made everyone sympathize with her.
Fred and George, who had just returned from the bathroom, finally came back.
Along the way, they had heard people talking about Vesey, saying that she was almost in tears while searching for Harry and Ron.
They hurried over.
Sure enough, they found Vesey with red eyes.
"Oh, little Vesey, don’t be afraid. We forgot to tell you. The passage was blocked for some reason, so Harry and Ron didn’t come..."
Before Fred could finish speaking, he saw Vesey climbing toward the window, apparently intending to jump from the moving train.
"Oh my God, Vesey! What are you doing now?"
They quickly grabbed her and looked at her nervously.
"If you fall, you could die!"
Hermione shouted angrily.
Vesey lowered her head, and her eyes became even redder.
"My brother and Ron are trapped there. I want to go back.
"They must be scared.
"It’s all my fault. I should have gotten off the train and gone to find them..."

Fred and the others sighed.
Why was this child so heartbreaking?
What did any of this have to do with her?
Was she somehow responsible for the blocked passage?
"No wonder Harry said you were stupid!"
Fred rubbed Vesey’s head helplessly.
"It’s fine. That passage has had problems before. It’ll be repaired soon."
"Then my brother and Ron..."

Everyone sighed together.
"Silly Vesey! Of course they can get to school another way. Think about it. Harry is still the Savior of the wizarding world. How could anyone stop him from getting to school?"
"Yeah, don’t worry! By the time you arrive at school, they might already have passed you. Besides, the train isn’t the only way to get there!"
Fred and George comforted her.
Vesey finally smiled.
They invited her to play in their compartment.
Fred and George had brought all sorts of joke products.
They showed them to Vesey one after another, making her laugh constantly.
Hermione had originally intended to lecture Fred and George, but she didn’t think their jokes were funny at all.
However, when she saw Vesey smiling so happily, she immediately abandoned the idea of scolding them.
As long as they could make Vesey happy, those joke products were actually pretty good.
Besides showing Vesey their joke products, they also played wizard’s chess with her.
By the time they reached Hogwarts, after losing game after game, Fred and George finally admitted that Vesey was the number-one chess player at Hogwarts.
She had even managed to defeat Professor McGonagall’s giant chessboard.
That really was an impressive achievement.
That evening, Fred and the others escorted Vesey to the carriages.
They were now second-years and no longer needed to travel with Hagrid. Instead, they took the carriages to Hogwarts along with the students from the other years.
Fred and George put Vesey and Hermione into a carriage before running off.
Apparently, Lee Jordan had called them over to play a prank.
Vesey didn’t pay much attention to it.
She simply sat in the carriage and studied the Thestral in front of her.
"Vesey, what are you looking at?"
Hermione asked uneasily.
As far as she could see, there was nothing there.
It looked as though the carriage was flying toward Hogwarts by itself.
"It’s a Thestral!"
Vesey took Hermione’s hand and guided it toward the Thestral’s mane.
The Thestral turned its head and licked both of their hands.
Hermione let out a small cry of surprise.
"There really is something here! I thought the carriage was moving by itself!"
Hermione exclaimed.
She reached out and touched the Thestral again.
"By the way, what exactly is a Thestral?"
she asked curiously.
Just as Vesey was about to explain, the voices of several girls nearby reached their ears.
"...A flying car? Really?"
"There must be no mistake. The Daily Prophet already reported it!"
"Who was driving it?"
"I heard it was Harry Potter and his good friend, Ron Weasley. That car belongs to Ron Weasley’s father. His father works in the Misuse of Muggle Artefacts Office at the Ministry of Magic!"
Vesey didn’t care about the rest of their conversation.
She immediately poked her head out, her face pale with panic.
"I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to listen to you.
"I just want to know how my brother and Ron are doing.
"They didn’t fall out of the sky, did they?"
