Hogwarts Diary: Snape Goes Crazy
Chapter 156 - 155 — Save My Brother
Chapter 156: Chapter 155 — Save My Brother
Chapter 155 — Save My Brother
It would take a month for the Polyjuice Potion to finish brewing.
Ron thought that was far too long. He worried that Malfoy might forget all about it during that time.
But after Hermione glared at him, he reluctantly accepted the timetable.
However, as they were leaving, Ron quietly said to Harry, "It would save you a lot of trouble if you knocked Malfoy off his broom tomorrow."
Harry was helpless.
They had originally been full of confidence about Quidditch this year.
But the entire Slytherin team was now using Nimbus 2001s, and every one of them was incredibly fast.
Everyone was stunned.
Wood was practically on the verge of tears, and even their Quidditch training sessions had become less frequent.
Even Harry himself had no confidence that Gryffindor could beat Slytherin.
All they could do was resign themselves to their fate.
The next day.
Vesey woke up early.
Yesterday, she had been talking with Snape, and just before she left, Snape had given her a bottle of potion.
He said it would help her sleep peacefully.
Vesey had originally refused it.
She had wanted to tell Snape that she needed to work hard.
But Snape insisted that if Vesey refused to drink it, he would go to Hermione and take back the Powerful Potions book.
He would simply tell her that Hermione had lied to him.
"None of the book titles she gave me were correct. I have every right to take the book back!"
Snape had said proudly.
"Drink it quickly. Afterward, go back and get some proper sleep, then study again tomorrow. If you keep working yourself this hard every day, you’ll only damage your body.
"I don’t think you want your friends worrying about you after you end up in the hospital wing just because you don’t care about your health, do you?"
By the time Snape finished speaking, Vesey could only raise her head and drink the potion.
Then she returned to her dormitory.
The moment she lay down on the bed, she fell asleep.
And she slept until now.
When she opened her eyes, she saw that it was still dark outside.
She realized she had woken up a little too early, so she immediately opened her game and started playing.
Be a human being!
The most important thing was to be happy!
Vesey was having so much fun playing that she didn’t realize Quidditch had already started until she finally finished her match.
She hurriedly got herself ready and rushed toward the Quidditch pitch.
She was also planning to show off her acting skills today.
She absolutely couldn’t miss this opportunity.
As soon as she arrived, it started raining.
Vesey jogged a few steps toward the Slytherin stands.
Cassandra made room for her and, unusually, took the initiative to ask, "Why are you so late?"
Vesey gave an embarrassed smile.
"It’s my fault. Professor Snape gave me a bottle of sleeping potion yesterday, and I drank it too early.
"When I woke up this morning, it was still dark outside. I couldn’t help studying the potion for a while, and before I knew it, I was late. I won’t do it again!"

She happily collected the Energy Points.
Then she looked toward Harry and the others.
She remembered what happened in the original story...
One of the Bludgers would suddenly go out of control and begin targeting Harry.
Vesey immediately stood up.
She gripped her wand tightly and looked frightened.
"It should just be..."
Before Cassandra could finish speaking, the Bludger suddenly changed direction again and flew straight toward Harry.
"Brother, get out of the way!"
Vesey shouted loudly.

"Cheating! This is cheating! Someone is trying to kill my brother with a Bludger!"
she shouted.
Then she raised her wand and knocked away the Bludger that was flying toward Harry.
She immediately ran toward the professors.
"Professor! Headmaster! Someone is cheating! The Bludger keeps targeting my brother! This isn’t a normal game!
"I’m not saying this because he’s my brother. Whoever was treated like this, I would stand up for them!
"I know the game is important, but my brother’s life is more important! I hope you’ll let me take him away from the pitch!"

Another huge amount of Energy Points poured into her account.
Vesey was even happier.
She wished she could say a few more things.
But she didn’t get the chance.
The Bludger struck Harry again.
"Brother!"
Vesey turned her head and shouted as though she were terrified.
Harry smiled at her.
Then he revealed the Golden Snitch in his palm.
"We won!"
he said indistinctly.
Then he fainted.
Vesey immediately rushed over.
She waved her wand, and a stretcher appeared beside her.
She placed Harry on it.
"I’m taking my brother to the hospital wing. Please, let me through!"
she said, as though desperately holding back her grief.
She looked extremely pitiful.
This earned her another large amount of Energy Points.
"Let me come! Let me help him. I’ve dealt with many cases like this!"
It was Lockhart.
Vesey seemed to suddenly remember something and hurriedly said, "Professor, no, you don’t have to worry about..."
She appeared to be trying to stop him.
But Lockhart pushed her aside.
Vesey pretended to fall to the ground and cried helplessly, "No! Don’t touch my brother..."
Harry woke up as well.
Seeing Lockhart push Vesey aside, he immediately shoved him away.
"Help my brother! I can’t stand up!"

[...]
Vesey shouted with exaggerated urgency.
Her wand had been knocked to the side, and she couldn’t reach it for the moment.
Several students nearby wanted to pull Lockhart away, but his status as a professor made them hesitate.
Besides, it was already too late.
Lockhart flourished his wand dramatically.
Then all the bones in Harry’s arm disappeared.
His arm dangled uselessly, wobbling like a rubber sleeve.
Vesey almost burst out laughing.
But she managed to hold it back.
With the help of her classmates, she struggled to stand up and picked up her wand.
She looked furious and pushed Lockhart away.
Then she waved her wand, levitated Harry’s stretcher, and hurried toward the hospital wing, covered from head to toe in mud.
The moment she saw Madam Pomfrey, her eyes turned red.
In a trembling voice, she pleaded, "Madam, please save my brother! He can’t live without his arm!"
Madam Pomfrey was startled, thinking something terrible had happened to Harry.
But when she saw that Harry was merely missing the bones in his arm, she smiled.
"It’s all right. It’s only his arm. The bones will grow back overnight. It will hurt a little, though, so he’ll have to endure it."
Harry breathed a sigh of relief.
He had thought he had actually lost his arm.
As long as it would grow back, everything was fine.
Only Vesey still had tears in her eyes.
She covered them and said, "It’s all my fault. If only I had pushed him out of the way sooner, my brother wouldn’t have been hurt like this. I really hate him!"

She looked extremely angry, but no one thought there was anything wrong with her reaction.
Vesey had always admired her brother.
When Lockhart hurt Harry right in front of her, Vesey had merely pushed him away. To many people, that was already far too gentle.
But Vesey had always been gentle by nature.
She had been bullied herself, yet she would never say a word about it.
Just like now, when her ankles were already badly swollen, she didn’t even seem to notice.
All she could think about was Harry.
No one could ask anything more of her.
