“No, you’re wrong.” Dumbledore shook his head, “I haven’t changed anything, and I have a premonition that I’ve already succeeded.”

“Succeeded? Then what did you change?”

Kael was a bit angry, especially after seeing Dumbledore’s face, pale without a hint of blood, a result of his excessive mental consumption.

Kael had experienced similar situations, though he hadn’t lost his memory, he also felt not so well, his mind in a constant disarray every day.

But he had only returned to three months ago.

How long had Dumbledore been stuck here… According to his previous description, the constantly looping process added up to at least decades, maybe even longer.

Kael pushed open the barn door, “You see, you’ve come back to this time again, and lost all previous memories; no matter how many times it happens, it’s the same.

“Even if you save Arianna, you’ll return here again one day, everything will restart, endlessly looping. What’s the point of that!”

“Because of you.” Dumbledore suddenly smiled, “In the previous time loop, there wasn’t you, but now you’re here.”

“I’m here to save you,” Kael said.

“That’s the change.” Dumbledore said calmly, “According to your statement, you’re not from this era; your presence itself reveals the issue.”

He suddenly chuckled, “I guessed it at last, ‘my’ plan, and I succeeded.”

“Your plan was to use me?” Kael raised an eyebrow.

“Not use, but help.” Dumbledore staggered to stand up. “This matter requires someone outside of time to participate, so I ask you, help me…”

Kael remained silent.

Now was the best chance, if he took Dumbledore away, they could easily return to a hundred years later, everything would get back on track, all problems solved.

But if he chose to stay and help Dumbledore… then everything that follows would become an unknown.

Whether they could save Arianna aside, the current issue was, success or failure, Dumbledore could again be rejected by time.

Then his memory would surely lose a part again, and no one knew how many years would be missing, maybe it would be like he said and vanish directly.

Moreover, even he himself had the possibility of being rejected by time… if that was truly the case, they wouldn’t be able to go back.

Kael was caught in a dilemma, hesitating to speak.

Dumbledore also wasn’t anxious, he just quietly sat beside him waiting.

The sky gradually brightened, the sun hung lazily in the sky, and someone pushed open the door, stepping out of the house, beginning the day’s hustle.

Godric’s Hollow gradually became lively.

Kael finally lifted his head.

He looked towards Dumbledore, took a deep breath, “Professor, isn’t there any way you won’t leave here?”

“Yes,” Dumbledore affirmed, “This is the closest I’ve been to success; no matter what, I won’t give up.”

“What if I must take you away?” Kael took out his wand, crimson flames began to gather at the tip.

“You’ve currently lost most of your memory and your body is extremely weak, defeating you doesn’t seem to be a difficult task.”

Before Kael finished speaking, the original flames transformed into a small fire dragon, coiling around the wand.

“Even I, at this age, can’t use the Fiendfyre Curse so skillfully,” Dumbledore chuckled, “I think you must be my most impressive student.”

“Nothing you say will help, Professor.” Kael raised his arm, “I only want to take you back… You once promised me you’d only take a glance at Arianna and do nothing else, but you broke that promise.”

“I am very sorry,” Dumbledore said, “If you want to kill me, I won’t resist, or you can leave on your own, it doesn’t matter; this matter is unrelated to you.

“But if you try to forcibly take me away… I will resist!”

Dumbledore’s voice was gentle, yet extraordinarily firm.

As he said before, this was the only possible chance to save Arianna, he wouldn’t give it up, regardless of the cost.

As for whether Kael would leave, it didn’t matter; his appearance signifies the beginning of change, which is enough.

Dumbledore also picked up his wand, from his previously exhausted body again erupted immense magic power.

Their standoff made the dilapidated barn start to shake, on the verge of collapsing.

“Forget it, I give up.” Kael suddenly laughed helplessly, waved his hand to disperse the fire dragon on the wand.

“To put it unpleasantly, given your current condition, I’m really worried I’d accidentally kill you.”

“That I admit.” Dumbledore supported himself on the chair, “I can at most dispel the Fiendfyre Curse twice more, but you should know more than just that spell, right.”

“You also taught me another charm, belonging to Magic Text Magic,” Kael shrugged, “It’s quite useful, just too loud; not only this broken barn, the whole street probably couldn’t withstand it.”

“Then I really picked up a life,” Dumbledore smiled openly, “When do you plan to leave… Oh, after you go back, quickly let Hogwarts choose a new headmaster; didn’t you say before Minerva is the Transfiguration Class professor? I think she’s quite good, that child has a strong sense of responsibility.”
