Hogwarts’ John Wick

Chapter 692: 692: Silver Wolf Magic School

  • Next Chapter

"An inter-school league for magical exchange?" Madame Maxime asked, somewhat puzzled.

John explained, "Because of their proximity, the three European schools already have the Triwizard Tournament as a way to promote exchange through competition."

"The inter-school league can be seen as a larger version of the Triwizard Tournament."

The sheets of parchment floating around the room displayed various drawn plans.

"The so-called inter-school league will invite students from different wizarding schools to compete on the same stage."

"The league will be divided into three categories."

"Magical knowledge."

"Practical application of magic."

"And the Quidditch Magical Starry Sky Cup."

The parchments flew toward the centre of the round table and folded together into the shape of a large handled trophy.

"The Quidditch Magical Starry Sky Cup will be open to every school. Each school will form a team, and the winner will hold the Starry Sky Cup for the next three years."

John smiled.

"You can simply think of it as a Quidditch competition between students."

"However, this Quidditch competition will also attract representatives from various clubs, and outstanding players may be selected as the top prospect of the Starry Sky Cup."

Top prospect of the Starry Sky Cup?

The headmasters exchanged puzzled looks at the unfamiliar terminology.

"You're wondering what use this title has?" John said meaningfully. "The current Quidditch league has already shown that, in the future, Quidditch will attract attention from the entire wizarding world."

"Talented players will become highly sought after. With clubs attending and proper promotion, they can become a new generation of stars."

The headmasters were not fools.

Once they heard this, they immediately realised that the benefits brought by the Starry Sky Cup could be extraordinary.

"The Magical Knowledge Competition and the Practical Magic Arena work the same way. While promoting exchange between schools, they can also add something valuable to a student's record after graduation."

These would essentially be the equivalent of various certificates and honours in the Muggle world.

Even though the wizarding world had no universities, such achievements could still prove useful when looking for work.

Having a championship on one's record would naturally attract attention first.

Moreover, this inter-school league could generate considerable economic benefits. Over time, it could become one of the wizarding world's major events.

John laid out the blueprint for the headmasters.

"Competition drives progress. In the past, students may have had rivalries within their own schools, but they rarely had the chance to see a wider world."

Babajide asked, "I heard that during the Triwizard Tournament held at Hogwarts, there was once an incident involving cheating, resulting in one school having two champions."

He was worried the inter-school league might suffer from the same problem.

John's gaze swept toward Slughorn.

"Don't worry. That will not happen. The inter-school league will be open to the entire world."

See?

What Dumbledore had done really had spread far and wide.

Slughorn also looked somewhat embarrassed.

Back then, Hogwarts had fielded two champions and later taken both first and second place.

No matter how one looked at it, it certainly seemed suspicious.

Madame Maxime turned her head away unhappily.

One of the victims of that incident was sitting right here.

Ludwig had no particular opinion about it.

After all, he had not been headmaster at the time.

Babajide hesitated for a moment before choosing to trust the Second King.

After all, the Second King's reputation had always been excellent.

Just like when he had once wiped out five families.

If he said he would exterminate them, then they would be exterminated. Not a single one more, not a single one less.

How could such a reputation possibly be bad?

The rest of the meeting revolved around the inter-school league.

John's intention was to promote communication between the schools while also using this world-class academic competition to stimulate the economy.

As head of the Department of Education, Roger barely managed to get a word in throughout the entire meeting.

John also intended to establish an observation committee.

Its job would be to promote communication between the various schools while also evaluating their teaching standards.

It was meant to prevent situations like Hogwarts' wildly uneven quality of education from happening again.

Slughorn, who had come to attend the meeting, only wanted to say: Stop criticising us. Please stop.

Dumbledore had been the one responsible for all those problems, so why was Slughorn the one being singled out now?

Slughorn was close to tears.

He had come to the meeting in such a good mood, only to discover that he was the one being publicly dragged out and criticised.

It was simply humiliating.

Hogwarts was supposed to be the finest wizarding school, yet somehow it had become the negative example.

Toward the end, John brought out another proposal.

"There's one more matter."

John's words brought the headmasters' discussion to a halt.

He glanced at the document in his hand.

"Regarding the education and admission of special students."

"Silver Wolf School of Magic."

Copies of the document flew into everyone's hands.

Resting his chin on one hand, John said calmly, "This will be a school for werewolves. Of course, it won't be limited to werewolves. Other wizards will also be accepted."

This was the werewolf school John had promised to establish.

He was now fulfilling that promise.

In a few more years, once the first batch of werewolf students at Hogwarts graduated, the school would officially begin accepting students.

"Although werewolf equality has already been placed on the agenda, it will still take time before ordinary schools can accept werewolves."

John pondered for a moment before continuing, "We cannot deny the possibility that a werewolf might forget to take Wolfsbane Potion during the full moon. Having them live among other students will still require a period of adjustment."

He was not Dumbledore.

Knowing that a werewolf student could lose control, he would not simply hide one inside Hogwarts.

Instead, he chose to separate werewolf students into a new wizarding school.

The moment he said this, the headmasters voiced their agreement.

After all, they understood their own schools.

Aside from Uagadou and Hogwarts, if werewolves were enrolled at the other schools, the students' parents would likely have objections.

The establishment of the Silver Wolf School of Magic was therefore approved unanimously.

The inter-school league would begin the following year and would be held once every three years, ensuring that every generation of students had the opportunity to participate.

During the discussion, John decided that Hogwarts would host the first inter-school league.

Why Hogwarts?

Because the Second King had graduated from there.

And it would also allow Astoria to participate.

Yes, that worked out perfectly.

The meeting came to an end.

When Slughorn walked out, he still felt slightly dizzy.

Madame Maxime, on the other hand, looked somewhat pleased by his misfortune.

Snape and Professor McGonagall, who had attended as observers, had also gained a great deal from the meeting.

Professor McGonagall in particular had gained a clearer understanding of the shortcomings shared by modern wizarding schools.

Still, even she was finding it difficult to endure how often Hogwarts had been singled out.

It was not her fault either.

Dumbledore had been responsible for those decisions.

Snape's emotions were complicated.

"John Wick will not be changed, but he will change the world."

...

At the Quidditch Committee, Mente strongly supported the inter-school league.

It meant Quidditch could expand its influence even further and reach more places.

At the same time, the huge amount of sponsorship money and the player transfer system scheduled to launch the following year had left him grinning from ear to ear.

When John came looking for him, Mente hurried over eagerly.

"I want to apply for a Quidditch club."

"Of course, Lord Wick. You want to apply for a... Quidditch club?"

Mente froze.

What was this supposed to be?

Was the organiser planning to enter the competition personally?

The Second King starting a Quidditch club?

Who could possibly beat that?

Forget everything else. The moment the opposing team heard the name John Wick, their morale would already be gone.

Mente looked miserable.

"Lord Wick, please don't joke about this."

"I'm not joking. But it isn't my club."

John naturally understood that with his current reputation and influence, personally interfering in Quidditch competitions would practically amount to bullying everyone else.

He said, "Tommy Shelby. I believe you know him."

"So it's Mr. Shelby."

Mente breathed a sigh of relief.

As long as it was not using the Second King's name, the Quidditch League would not turn into a glorified exhibition.

"I can help submit the application. We'll need a club name, as well as a registered venue and players," Mente said.

"The club will be called Silver Wolf Roar. The specific players are still undecided. Tommy Shelby will be the person in charge."

John spoke without changing expression.

Mente stared at him blankly.

You don't even have a single player, and you're starting a club?

Taking a deep breath, Mente maintained his smile.

"All right. I'll get it taken care of."

"But the venue..."

"East of the werewolf community. Silver Wolf Quidditch Stadium."

Mente asked in confusion, "Why haven't I heard of that place?"

"Because it hasn't been built yet," John replied calmly.

Not built?

If anyone else had come to him with a club that had neither players nor a stadium, Mente swore he would have had them curl up and roll straight out the door.

But the person standing in front of him was his direct superior.

So he could only put on an unnaturally bright smile and promise to handle it quickly.

And just like that, the first Quidditch club belonging to werewolves was officially established.

No players.

No stadium.

John instructed Mr. Chudai to select young werewolves with Quidditch experience to form the team.

As for the stadium, he had already ordered Silverhand Fashion Construction to begin building it at the location he had specified.

And all of this was far beyond what Tommy's twenty years of salary could possibly cover.

If outsiders found out, they would probably start saying again that the Second King was far too partial toward werewolves.
