Chapter 2670: Story 2671: The Father Beyond the Beginning
The voice echoed.
“Father...”
Kael stood frozen.
The Beginning’s enormous heart pulsed with crimson light.
Boom.
Another heartbeat answered from beyond the white sky.
Boom.
Lena tightened her grip.
“Kael, what is happening?”
“I don’t know.”
Azael looked toward the darkness.
“But someone is coming.”
The Beginning recoiled.
Its countless white eyes closed.
Fear filled its voice.
“HE MUST NOT AWAKEN.”
Kael raised his sword.
“Who?”
The creature did not answer.
The white sky split apart.
A massive black hand reached through the fracture.
Elias’s golden veins ignited.
“I can feel him.”
“Who?” Lena asked.
“My father.”
The sixth child screamed.
His silver eyes turned red.
Azael caught him.
“Stay with us!”
The child looked toward the sky.
“He remembers us.”
Something moved inside Kael’s chest.
The seven symbols began rotating.
White.
Black.
Red.
Gold.
Silver.
Crimson.
The seventh eye followed.
All pointed toward the same direction.
The black hand pulled harder.
The sky shattered completely.
A figure descended.
He wore ancient cracked armor.
Long black hair flowed around his shoulders.
His face was familiar.
Kael lowered his sword.
“Father...”
The figure stopped.
His eyes opened.
They were silver.
Lena stepped forward.
“Are you the Sleeping King?”
The stranger shook his head.
“No.”
“I was his father.”
Silence.
“The King Before Kings?”
The ancient figure looked at him.
“Older.”
The Beginning screamed.
“FIRST FATHER.”
The ancient warrior turned toward it.
“You still exist.”
The Beginning’s eyes widened.
“You were destroyed.”
“I was forgotten.”
He raised one hand.
The kingdom became silent.
Even falling stones stopped.
Kael stared.
“What do you want?”
The ancient father looked at his children.
“The Beginning has remembered the wrong son.”
Kael frowned.
“Wrong son?”
The father pointed toward the sixth child.
“He is the one it fears.”
The sixth child stepped backward.
“Me?”
“Yes.”
The Beginning roared.
“DO NOT LET HIM REMEMBER.”
Kael moved in front of the child.
“You will not touch him.”
The father smiled.
“That is why I returned.”
Azael raised his weapon.
“What happened to us?”
The father’s expression darkened.
“You were divided because it wanted your First Soul.”
Lena asked,
“Why?”
“Because your soul could become something even older than it.”
The seventh symbol on Kael’s chest suddenly cracked.
A voice whispered from inside him.
“Father...”
Kael froze.
The ancient father looked directly at him.
“That voice is not mine.”
The Beginning opened its heart.
Inside appeared a small black figure.
A child.
Kael recognized him.
The seventh child.
He was smiling.
“I remember now.”
Everyone stared.
“I was never imprisoned there.”
The ancient father raised his sword.
“He was hiding inside you.”
Kael’s blood froze.
The seventh child looked at him.
“I am the part of your First Soul the Beginning could never control.”
The kingdom exploded with white fire.
The Beginning screamed.
“NO!”
Kael’s sword transformed completely.
White stars filled the blade.
The father stepped beside him.
“Elarion.”
Kael looked at him.
“Fight.”
The Beginning opened its eyes.
And from its heart, something ancient emerged.
