Chapter 2672: Story 2673: The Enemy Before Creation
The black eye opened above sky.
Everything became silent.
Even the Beginning stopped moving.
White stars burned inside Kael’s sword.
The crimson-eyed child stood beside him.
“Brother,” he whispered.
Kael looked upward.
“What is that thing?”
“The one who came before everything.”
The Father tightened his grip.
“We must leave.”
Kael shook his head.
“No.”
“Elarion, you cannot fight something older than creation.”
“I am not fighting alone.”
Lena stepped beside him.
Azael joined them.
Elias’s golden light spread across the ground.
The fifth child opened black wings.
The sixth released silver fire.
The child reached toward Kael.
Their powers connected.
A shockwave crossed the kingdom.
The black eye blinked.
A voice entered their minds.
“YOU REMEMBER TOO MUCH.”
He saw the white tree.
Seven children.
The First Father kneeling.
The woman of white fire crying.
Something descended from the empty sky.
It had no body, face, or crown, only the enormous white eye.
Kael heard the woman scream.
“Hide Elarion!”
Kael saw himself holding a newborn child.
The child looked exactly like him.
The crimson-eyed child answered.
“You.”
“I am holding myself?”
“No.”
The child touched Kael’s chest.
“You were holding the part of yourself that would become me.”
Its enormous white arm crashed toward them.
The First Father intercepted it.
Their weapons collided, and white fire exploded across the kingdom.
“Go!” the Father shouted.
Kael refused.
“We stay together!”
Lena raised both hands, forming a red shield.
Elias strengthened it with golden light.
Azael added black flames.
The others joined.
The barrier stopped the Beginning.
The black eye remained above them.
“YOU THINK THE BEGINNING IS YOUR ENEMY.”
Kael looked upward.
“Then what is it?”
“A prison.”
The Beginning screamed and cracked open, revealing an endless white chamber filled with chained worlds.
“It was holding them.”
The First Father lowered his sword.
“The Beginning was never the creator.”
“It was a prison built to contain something.”
The black eye smiled.
“YES.”
A dark crack opened behind the Beginning.
Something stepped through.
It was tall and black, its body made from empty space, without eyes or mouth.
“ELARION.”
Kael raised his sword.
“I remember your birth.”
“Who are you?”
“I am the reason your First Soul was divided.”
Azael stepped forward.
“Then you are the enemy.”
The creature laughed.
It pointed toward the Beginning.
“That was only the cage.”
Then it pointed toward Kael.
“And you were the key.”
The seventh mark on Kael’s chest exploded.
The First Father shouted,
“Elarion, run!”
But Kael stood still.
His eyes turned white.
The black creature approached.
“Now open the final door.”
“I will never open it for you.”
The creature smiled.
“You already did.”
Behind Kael, a white door appeared.
A heartbeat came from beyond it.
Boom.
Then another.
Boom.
The crimson-eyed child whispered,
“Brother...”
Kael turned.
The child was crying.
“The final door is not outside.”
He pointed at Kael’s chest.
“It is inside you.”
The seventh mark opened completely.
And something ancient began waking within Elarion.
