How You Can Sue Me for My Crimes in Dreams

Chapter 355: The Missing Corpse, the Grave Robber

  • Next Chapter

On the wall, cracks spiderwebbed across the clean white tiles.

Shen Fei stared intently at the window.

An image suddenly flashed through his mind—a strange scene of several people climbing in through that very window.

In the vision, the kitchen didn’t look like this.

Back then, it was decorated with a red “double happiness” character. The kitchenware was brand new, radiating a sense of warmth.

‘Why am I thinking about this?’

Shen Fei froze. He was about to delve deeper into the thought, but it suddenly vanished for some unknown reason.

He turned and walked out of the kitchen.

His gaze fell upon the door to the room opposite the kitchen.

Another corresponding image materialized in his mind.

In that vision, the walls were pristine white, the door was new, and it too bore a large “double happiness” character.

Shen Fei stared intently at the door.

As he slowly approached it,

his breathing grew heavier, and his chest began to heave violently.

His eyes became bloodshot as countless different fragments of images flooded his mind.

The image of a man begging for his life.

Suddenly,

the vision came to an abrupt halt!

He snapped back to reality, gasping for fresh air like a fish thrown onto dry land.

Until…

Then, quietly,

a voice slowly materialized by Shen Fei’s ear.

“Aren’t you going to go in and take a look?”

The sudden voice echoed through the ruins.

Shen Fei’s body instantly went rigid.

“Aren’t you going to go in and take a look?”

The voice spoke again, like a devil pushing him forward from behind.

Shen Fei stiffly turned his head to look back.

A person had appeared in the doorway.

The figure’s features were rigid, its face deathly pale. Its body was covered in rotting gashes, and maggots seemed to squirm within its flesh. It reeked of damp earth, as if it had just crawled out of the ground.

It just stood there, alone, in the doorway.

“Aren’t you going in?”

it repeated, its inhuman, unfocused eyes staring straight at him.

“Why don’t you go in?”

The figure stared intently at Shen Fei, inching closer. Its eyes emanated a strange and terrifying aura.

“Go in! Hurry up and go in!”

Shen Fei instinctively took a step back. Watching the scene unfold before him, his mind went completely blank, his face frozen in a daze.

“Why don’t you go in, just like you did before!?”

The figure closed in, its expression twisting into a savage, bloodthirsty snarl.

In a daze, Shen Fei realized who this person was.

This was…

a dead man.

“I… I’m sorry…”

Shen Fei’s eyes were glazed over. His voice trembled as he instinctively retreated, unable to catch his breath.

“You killed me! You killed me!”

The corpse suddenly spoke, its expression vanishing. It looked like an automaton as it closed the distance again.

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry…”

Tears and snot streamed uncontrollably down Shen Fei’s face. His legs gave out and he collapsed to the floor, but he still scrambled backward with all his might.

“Where is my body?”

“Where did you dump my body!?”

“Why did you kill me? I hate you, I hate you, I hate you…”

“Why did you kill me, why did you kill me, why did you kill me, why…”

It seemed to be talking in its sleep, its eyes staring silently as strange words spilled from its mouth.

“I was wrong, I was wrong, I beg you, I’m sorry, I was wrong…”

Shen Fei’s vision blurred, filled with tears. He was already backed against a wall with nowhere left to run. He could only watch as the pale, cold corpse pressed itself right in front of him.

The corpse raised a hand and pointed out the window.

Shen Fei stiffly turned his head to look.

He saw…

out in the flowerbed, three round objects were arranged on the ground.

They were three heads. The bodies of Wang Wei and the other two men were buried in the dirt with only their heads exposed. Their rigid faces were fixed in grotesque smiles, staring straight at Shen Fei.

Shen Fei’s mind went completely blank with a deafening ROAR.

The corpse pressed its face close to his. Its lifeless eyes stared at him, devoid of any expression, as it spoke, one word at a time.

“Next…”

“it’s your turn.”

“AHHHHHHHH!”

With a piercing scream,

Shen Fei’s consciousness sank, and his world went black.

…

…

“AH!”

Shen Fei’s eyes flew open. His forehead was drenched in cold sweat as he shot upright, panting heavily.

He felt like he’d just had a nightmare.

He was about to recall it when, in an instant, the scene before him made him freeze in place.

It was a ruin.

The walls were scarred with burn marks like coiled snakes, and all the furniture was wrecked.

Shen Fei’s expression froze. He shifted his eyes, staring intently at the bedroom across from the kitchen, the one with the “double happiness” character on the door.

Until…

“Aren’t you going to go in and take a look?”

A voice sounded by his ear.

Shen Fei remained frozen. He slowly moved his eyes to look behind him.

A figure stood at the main door. Its features were rigid, its expression blank. Its inhuman eyes stared intently at him.

It spoke:

“Aren’t you going to go in and take a look?”

…

…

When a person endures repeated torture, only two outcomes await.

One, they crash and become a madman.

Two, their spirit is strengthened, their tolerance increased.

So…

“You really guessed it, kid.”

“Shen Fei forgot everything related to Zhang Jiayu. He only remembers that he killed him; he doesn’t recall the process of the crime or anything. But his body still instinctively fears him.”

“Also, this method of yours for jogging his memory…”

“It’s truly wicked.”

「January 9th, 2:30 AM.」

Hidden in the shadows, Li Jianye looked at Shen Fei, who was lying there like a dead dog, and remarked with a sigh.

“How many times has he passed out tonight…?”

“Don’t be impatient. Just wait a bit,”

Xu Huo said casually.

“I’m not complaining about the number of times…”
