Third Person POV

Leaky Cauldron.

...

...

In a very isolated place in the northernmost country of Asia, Russia, a group of people was gathered inside an even more remote place, a cabin isolated from any trace of civilization. Everyone inside that cabin was wearing cloaks while holding staffs and wands in their hands.

Across every wall, there were symbols in the form of glyphs unlike anything known in magical education around the world, with a blood pentagram at the center. There was also an altar in the middle and 3 people nailed to the wall.

All the symbols and drawings had been made purely from blood, in a horrifying sight that would make even Death Eaters vomit.

It was a sacrificial summoning ritual. After all, the 3 people nailed to the wall were three young virgins, whose blood had been used for the macabre symbolism inside the cabin after their throats and wrists had been slit.

"Bring the sacrifice." The voice of a man wearing a cloak in front of the altar and holding a staff seemed to belong to the leader of that ritual.

Quickly, the door opened with more hooded figures, bringing in a fourth young girl no older than fifteen. She seemed awake, but her gaze was empty, extremely calm, as if she had been drugged.

"Place her on the altar," said the man behind it as they laid her down.

He removed a special dagger, a knife covered in symbols similar to those in the blood drawings, while raising it above the young girl's body.

"Zarvak thul nareth ashtor!!" he shouted in the unknown language. He brought the blade down.

In the next moment, the young girl's heart was pierced. She merely jerked, but still kept the empty expression, despite trembling with lifeless eyes. Blood began to spread across her white clothes while everyone knelt down.

"We offer the blood of these 3 virgins and this sacrifice. Please, fulfill our wishes!" the man at the altar spoke, raising his magical staff while all the blood-made runes began to glow.

The light became so strong that it started blinding everyone in the place. Without any warning, all of them widened their eyes as the glow intensified more and more until it finally calmed down.

Everyone was shocked when they saw a new silhouette among them.

There was a man... if they could even call him that.

He stood at the center of the pentagram with a calm expression. He wore robes like a mage, and his eyes slowly looked toward the ground before scanning each person present.

Groans and expressions of shock began to appear when they saw the man with two horns growing from his forehead and pointing upward with slight curves, although one was larger than the other. His eyes were red.

His eyes did not seem impressed in the slightest until they turned toward the altar. "Vaelor... thyr vek nazhul." he spoke in a language no one understood.

"My lord! My lord! Are you here to answer our call?" asked the man standing over the dying virgin with the dagger in her heart. He looked at the demonic summon with admiration, and his voice trembled.

"I see... I felt the ritual being performed and accepted it... I wanted to see the human world..." he suddenly changed his voice to something humans could understand.

"My lord, we want power! Power to dominate this country! No... power to dominate the world!" the man replied with a voice full of greed.

"Ah, you always want that. Typical of you humans," the demon replied in a still bored tone. "But I must say that only 3 or 4 virgins would not be equivalent to your wish."

The man seemed shocked to hear that, while the people around him became uneasy.

"N-No? Then what would it take? I believe the ritual was performed correctly..." the man trembled.

"That is where you are mistaken, human. This could perhaps work with low-ranking demons, but I am not bound by such a weak ritual..." the demon replied in a restrained tone, as if he were looking at inferior worms.

"The problem is that you believe in this cliché that sacrificing virgins would truly grant enough power to ask for a wish. No demon would be foolish enough to give such immense power that you would simply throw your world out of balance. That is rather ridiculous, don't you think?"

"Please, my lord! It's all we could think of! We are willing to serve you! If it is not enough, we will bring a thousand sacrifices!"

The demon stared at them and opened a smile.

He had the form of a normal man, if not for the horns, his eyes, and especially his aura, as a crimson mist streaked with black began to emerge around him.

"Very well. Since you are willing to offer sacrifices, let us begin with you. If you withstand me, I shall grant you that power..." the demon simply spoke with a smile.

Everyone became tense in the next moment, but no one could react when suddenly the demon released an aura like fog spreading in every direction.

All the wizards became paralyzed while, at the center of the place, the demon opened a smile. "Now I will devour your souls!" he simply replied, displaying a sinister grin.

In the next moment, the entire room was filled with bodies, while he appeared to have just finished a meal. "Well... they are filthy souls, but it was worth it," the demon said after swallowing every soul. After all, he did not need virgin blood or any of that, he was only interested in human souls.

There was no blood, injuries, or much less dismemberment. Only faces twisted in horror, fallen dead.

"Since I accepted coming here, why not play a little with this world? Besides, I am certain that some of us are also interested in coming to this world..."

A sinister smile appeared on the creature's face while no one in the world had any idea of what was happening inside that cabin in northern Russia. That ritual performed by fanatics in search of power changed the course of this world's future.

Meanwhile, in England, in the morning, Severus Snape gathered all his belongings and went to Tom at the counter of the Leaky Cauldron, paying for the room where he had stayed.

"Well, boy... good luck at Hogwarts," Tom replied, while Severus Snape merely nodded.

"Of course. I'll probably be here next year."

"Then until next year," Tom replied, with Severus leaving the place.

'Hey! Do I really have to hide?', Articuno sounded somewhat dissatisfied on Severus's shoulder, while Severus could feel his weight there.

He had another magical ability: becoming invisible. But it was something he disliked doing because he had to stay hidden.

Severus shrugged.

'I told you already. If you want to stay with me, remain invisible for now, at least until we reach the train. Or you can teleport to me later when I'm at Hogwarts,' Severus replied.

Severus did not want to simply announce to the world that there was an unidentified bird sitting on his shoulder.

'Alright, alright...', Articuno muttered in a somewhat dissatisfied tone.

But Jon did not care. They continued walking through the streets of London.

Severus boarded an extremely crowded Muggle bus, even finding a few Hogwarts students sitting in some seats heading to the same destination as him. Even though they were not wearing uniforms, Severus could sense the magical aura. It was something he had started to notice while living among Muggles and wizards.

He could distinguish who had magic and who did not, being able to perceive vitality, since humans were also living beings.

They did not even notice him as one of their own while he simply entered alone, without carrying any suitcase or anything that required bringing many belongings. After all, he had a bag with expandable space and the world's only storage ring, even though those two objects carried more things than could fit inside an ordinary room.

'It's strange how humans have changed...', Articuno continued speaking while observing the human world through the window of the Muggle bus.

'It's true. And to think they accomplished all this in roughly a thousand years, practically.'

'You also seem strangely impressed by this, that humanity evolved so much in a thousand years?' Articuno noticed something in Jon's thoughts, as if even he could hardly believe it.

'I haven't told you yet, have I? But I'm a reincarnated person.'

'A reincarnated person? You had a life before this one?', Articuno seemed impressed for the first time, almost losing his invisibility, while his tiny claws could be seen lightly pressing into the clothes on Severus's shoulder.

If someone paid attention, they could notice there was something there, with Articuno lifting his claw and stepping again.

Severus saw no reason to hide that fact, not from that creature who now had a connection with him.

'I lived in a world where humanity stagnated for eight thousand years. Even though there were some remnants of magic, nothing was impressive or technological. People still used animals as their only means of transportation and fought with swords and other medieval weapons. That world stagnated in that state for such a long time...'

'Although that makes me think about that Order of Masters, that perhaps the restrictions imposed by that order were the real reason that world stagnated, greatly limiting humanity's creativity for new ideas. After all, many theories that were created were looked down upon. They were extremely restrictive, at least while they existed.'

'But in the last two hundred and fifty years I was there, humanity finally began to evolve. Even though nothing was very advanced, we were beginning to create a path,' Severus replied in a thoughtful tone.

In his past life, after he abolished the Order of Masters and the introduction of the university in Arctic became the world's greatest source of knowledge, it was responsible for gradually allowing more creative minds to emerge, as long as they did not commit crimes, steal, kill, or take away the freedom of other individuals.

They were free to study, with only a few moral boundaries they could not cross.

'The Order of Masters?', Articuno asked.

'A group of people who wanted to concentrate all the knowledge of the world,' Severus replied with a sigh.

'Well... I already destroyed them. At least I started destroying them without realizing the full gravity of it at the time. After all, they tried to impose their restrictions on us when we were developing at the beginning of a kingdom I created in my past life. However, they had greatly underestimated our powers, thinking they could truly impose conditions on us and hold us hostage simply because we were in the middle of their city...'

Severus Snape remembered it very well. Besides the armies sailing toward the city as soon as they discovered the king's situation, since wargs had been monitoring the meeting, the ships had simply advanced toward the city when they sensed the danger.

At the same time, he had simply controlled every animal in the city. Dogs, cats, birds... every sentient animal began attacking the city guards, turning the place into a nightmare for all the enemies of Arctic.

Meanwhile, at the center of the citadel, thousands of birds he had gathered began massacring their men while protecting Jon at that moment.

In any case, Severus did not care much about it anymore. That was the past, while the bus finally arrived near King's Cross Station.

There were several children at the station using luggage carts, with cages carrying some animals, mainly owls, since the children seemed to particularly like them.

Severus got off the bus and headed toward the station, while the students also got out alongside him, beginning to retrieve their luggage.

He wore simple Muggle clothes with a coat, which he liked to wear, along with his bag at his waist, secured by a strap around his shoulder, as well as a ring.

No one would say he was a Hogwarts student due to the lack of luggage, while he calmly walked inside the station, passing by Muggles and wizards bringing their children along.

Severus Snape walked forward with calm steps while watching the older students running through the pillar of Platform 9¾. He came right after them, silently passing through it, finally entering the place with the sound of the train's roar echoing through his ears alongside the noise of an excited crowd.

'Wow... that was fun,' Articuno seemed to have enjoyed the experience while they turned the corner and finally saw a crowd of parents, children, teenagers, and students heading to study at Hogwarts.

Even recognizing many faces in the crowd, Severus did not bother stopping as he continued toward the train.

He even saw the Evans family and Lily Evans talking in one corner while saying goodbye, with some of Lily's friends chatting with her.

She looked much better. That was good for her. He simply shrugged and continued through the place until entering the train.

He knew very well how the wagon hierarchy worked. The Slytherins always occupied the first compartments, behaving like young lords, while the more troublesome students, the Gryffindors, ended up at the back of the train.

Severus decided not to associate himself with either extreme as he headed toward the middle.

He continued until finally opening one of the empty compartments, seeing nothing special about it, and sat down while casting a spell on the window so no one would stare at him like he was a zoo animal from outside while the students were still saying goodbye to their parents.

But it did not take long before someone opened the door rather aggressively. Severus immediately recognized the person who was out of breath. Or rather, the girl.

"I saw you passing by and immediately ran after you!" she said right away.

"You must be the girl from the bookstore, Heloísa," Severus replied calmly, quickly recognizing who she was.

She had been at the bookstore with Professor Minerva McGonagall and her parents, buying books rather late, and Severus had met her alone in one of the aisles while choosing some books.

"You remember me! I knew you would remember! I wanted to ask if I could sit with you?!" she asked immediately, offering a friendly smile.

"Of course. Why not? Make yourself comfortable," he spoke calmly.

She nodded excitedly. "I just need to say goodbye to my parents. Can you save a seat for me?" the girl asked.

Severus merely waved while picking up a book to read and watched the girl run out after leaving the door open.

Thanks to the spell, anyone outside could not see their interaction. After all, there was a charm on the window that made no one pay attention to that compartment unless they had strong mental power to realize something was wrong.

It was just a student trying to be alone, nothing unusual. Severus even saw Heloísa leaving the train and running toward her parents, who looked quite worried since she had suddenly run off without saying goodbye, entering the train after Severus the moment she saw him looking for a compartment.

The girl was now hugging her parents, saying goodbye.

"Articuno, don't you have anything to say?" Severus Snape asked curiously, even speaking out loud.

After all, Articuno had remained silent the entire time, while he could feel his tail brushing against his ear a few times, also bringing him a refreshing breeze.

'And should I say something?', Articuno asked.

"You're usually talkative. I imagined you'd have some comments," Severus replied naturally.

'Well, to me that was a normal interaction. Wherever you met that girl, she seems to like you. I have no comments about that,' he replied.

Severus merely showed a faint smile and returned to reading, while Articuno also enjoyed the silence.

Severus was reading a book about molecular fusion. After having that conversation with Professor Xavier, he had become quite inspired in that field.

It was even strange to think that he was going to a magic school while studying Muggle knowledge, with his bag and ring containing far more Muggle books than magical ones.
