Third Person POV

Hogwarts.

...

...

Severus had to admit that, besides his argument with Lily, that night seemed to be playing tricks on him, because as soon as he took one of the corridors to get there faster from that side of the school, he came across a glowing door with a symbol on its arch.

It was the same kind of shape he had seen in the Forbidden Forest leading to that cave, and now he had found one there. He noticed that as he approached, the bricks in the wall disappeared and another staircase appeared, lined with blue torches and leading down a path.

'Another one?' he murmured, although the symbols were different. Either way, he was not willing to do any exploring that night and continued on his way.

Severus entered the Slytherin common room, drawing a large number of stares. Rabastan was sitting in the middle of the group, along with all the future Death Eaters, glaring at him with the same anger as always, but unable to approach him. He saw Rabastan say something to Mulciber, who gave a slight nod.

Severus simply did not care and kept walking, while leaving a small surprise for them.

Everyone was startled when the window overlooking the Black Lake, completely dark at that hour, suddenly cracked. Some jumped and others screamed when they saw the Giant Squid striking the glass, frightening everyone inside the common room. They ran out of Slytherin, afraid of a possible flood.

And even if the Giant Squid actually broke the glass, they could complain to whoever they wanted the next day. No one could do anything. But obviously, Severus had done it only to scare the idiots.

Either way, he did not stay in the dormitory. He merely made sure he was alone, while Solis herself waited for him. He certainly would not let her listen to the conversation he would have with Lily and asked her to return to his room and attack those idiots if they tried to mess with him.

"Let's go to the Room of Requirement," he said, raising his arm.

The creature landed on it before releasing a flash of fire and making them disappear, after Severus made sure Heloísa was fine in her room, studying, while Articuno remained with her.

Severus immediately prepared the Room of Requirement to study Muggle energy, while beginning to gather several TVs and other electronic devices he had bought from Muggle shops using his money.

He had also obtained a large amount of materials through other means. He asked some animals, mainly crows and owls, to go to Muggle areas. Places near factories and electrical power facilities were even better, where they discarded various materials, such as wires and other components used to make electrical grids work.

There was a power plant a few dozen kilometers from Hogwarts. Severus sent three crows directly to where the main energy storage facility that supplied at least 4 cities was located. From there, he obtained far more things than anywhere else and brought everything to Hogwarts, asking the animals to drop the materials in a specific corner.

He had also asked the house-elves to collect all that material and place it inside a chest, which he could summon whenever he was going to study it.

Severus made the chest float toward him and began pulling out several copper wires, while studying Muggle energy itself.

He wanted to understand everything about the Muggles' current electrical energy and, in the future, even improve it.

He picked up the plans for a power plant and quickly began working on them. He first needed to create a source capable of generating electrical energy if he wanted to conduct his experiments with electricity. After all, before anything else, he would need a way to generate it inside Hogwarts.

And he already had an idea.

Hydroelectric power plants worked through the force of water, turning the shaft of the coils to generate energy; movement generates energy just like heat. Coal could also be used to create energy, as could all kinds of fuel, but Severus chose to work first with energy generated through movement.

It would be easy to build something simple based on how a hydroelectric plant worked, creating a small machine in which he would only need to move a valve with his hands or even use his own magic to make it spin automatically and, finally, generate enough energy to begin his experiments.

Either way, he spent the rest of the night like that, studying. He did not stay up until dawn like the previous night and returned to his room, but he did not teleport directly there so as not to wake the others. Instead, he appeared in the common room, finding a few Slytherin students kissing, who were startled by his sudden and bright appearance.

"Just keep going," Severus merely grumbled before returning to his room, not caring about a couple of teenagers.

Who was he to reprimand others, after all? It was not his daughter making out with another student.

The first class the following day, as on every Monday, was Charms with Ravenclaw. He easily kept earning points before approaching the professor at the end of class.

"Professor..." he began with an unusual request... When he finished, the professor stared at him in surprise.

"You... want me to duel you, Mr. Snape?" Professor Flitwick asked, stunned by Severus's request.

"Yes, Professor," he said politely, but with an excited smile.

A magical duel was something Severus had been looking for for some time, and none of the students would certainly be capable of giving him any excitement. So he needed someone experienced, someone who had already won a world championship and would certainly offer a real challenge.

Well, the only one better than Professor Flitwick was Dumbledore. And Flitwick would certainly be more open to an invitation than the old wizard.

Flitwick stared at him before displaying a smile. "That is unusual, but I would love to take on a challenge with you, Mr. Snape," he said, but let out a sigh right afterward. "I would even do it right now, but we would have to choose a suitable place, and I don't have a platform for us to duel on, Mr. Snape."

"Wait. Couldn't the platform just be a table no more than a meter and a half or two meters wide and about ten meters long?" Severus asked.

The man nodded. "Of course. I would have even transfigured one, but I certainly don't have that gift. If it were Professor Minerva, she would do it with ease, but I'm not that good at Transfiguration, not to the point of creating an object of that size," he said sincerely.

Severus raised one of his eyebrows. "Wait, I can do that," Severus said confidently, and Flitwick stared at him in surprise.

"Really? If you can do something like that, I'll have no reason to refuse a small match with you before my next class, Mr. Snape," he said. Flitwick became excited as well. Only the two of them were in the classroom at that moment.

Severus used telekinesis to bring several of the students' desks together, placing them side by side. He could even try using a coin, but transfiguring a single coin into a table ten meters long and a meter and a half wide would certainly require a large amount of magical energy to be wasted, since he would have to use his own magic to reconstruct all the physical material the coin lacked to form the table. At the same time, his wand was not very suitable for that.

The professor watched Severus's transfiguration using several desks, while they were moved into place with his telekinesis, something Flitwick could not help but observe with fascination.

It was a type of magic that not even he possessed. Flitwick would need to cast several spells to perform all those movements of floating objects, but Severus could simply command where each object should go. Everyone else would have to use, for example, levitation spells to move the objects to the desired location or combine different charms to achieve the same result.

Either way, the table was soon ready. A blue carpet, in honor of Ravenclaw, spread across it, with a raven drawn in the middle.

"Excellent Transfiguration. Ten points for trying to surprise me," Flitwick said cheerfully.

Severus nodded and also transfigured two staircases so that they could both climb up. No students would see them at that moment, so he would have some time to have fun and finally test his skills against an at least competent wizard, rather than against children or those stone golems, although that challenge in the mysterious arena had also been good for testing his magic.

"Well, let's begin with our bows. The first to disarm the opponent or make him fall off the table wins. And no lethal spells may be used," Flitwick explained.

He settled into position, with one hand behind his back and the other in front, holding his wand at nose level, between his eyes.

Severus did the same before lowering it. Both turned around, took several steps in opposite directions, and then turned back toward each other, assuming their positions.

"I'll count to three," Flitwick continued. "One... two... three!"

"Expelliarmus!"

"Expelliarmus!"

Both said at the same time.

Both wands fired their spells, which collided in the middle of the platform and exploded, canceling each other out.

Flitwick stared at Severus, just as Severus stared at Flitwick through the particles of the beams disappearing into the air.

An involuntary smile appeared on both their faces.

At that moment, they recognized each other as two warriors finally stepping onto a battlefield.

Severus's transfiguration was quite solid. There was no instability, and the table remained perfectly stable and smooth. The points he had earned from Flitwick had not been for nothing. Unless something truly serious happened and the transfiguration came undone, that battlefield was perfect for the occasion.

In the next moment, several spells began to fly, with Severus being caught by surprise as he took a step back. Flitwick no longer saw him merely as a sixth-year boy, even though Severus doubted that he was giving it his all...

Even so, this change caught Severus by surprise, but he quickly adapted, defending himself against the spells and canceling them out as he began to even the odds, also retaliating. Flitwick had to raise his shields several times as Severus managed to cast spells from the sides, trying to strike his flanks while canceling out the attacks coming from the front.

It was not difficult to realize that it quickly became a battle of total chaos inside that room, with only the two of them fighting and no spectators for the time being. It was great for both of them. They recognized that as they remained immersed in the battle, constantly trying to gain some advantage over each other.

Severus could not help but laugh as he continued casting only basic spells, and Flitwick responded at the same level. However, the professor was more experienced than Severus in dueling and found an opening to attack him from the side.

Severus was unable to decide whether he should cancel out the spell coming from the front or the "Petrificus Totalus" coming from the side.

He chose to cancel out the first spell. At the same time, he raised his hand and, to Flitwick's surprise, simply slapped the other spell away, sending it flying to the other side of the room and striking one of the desks, which merely shook from the impact.

"Wait, wait!" Flitwick immediately asked, staring at him as though he had just seen something he could not comprehend. "You... you slapped my spell away?" he asked, shocked.

"Ah, yes. Obviously, I cover my hand with an invisible force of telekinesis. It can deflect some spells. I could even deflect the magic itself using my own, but I prefer doing it with telekinesis, creating a reflective shield layer, because it's easier and faster that way," Severus explained.

He raised his hand to demonstrate, while it took on a slightly bluish hue, revealing the small, thin barrier of magic around it.

Flitwick stared at him for a few moments. "That... that's brilliant," he murmured in considerable astonishment.

"Thank you, Professor Flitwick," Severus replied, inclining his head.

"No, Mr. Snape. Your telekinesis magic is already incredible, but these applications... You can simply use your own hand to defend yourself..."

"What I really wanted was to try casting spells without a wand too, Professor, but I think this already helps quite a lot..."

The truth was that he could also easily cast elemental spells without a wand, but he wanted to learn how to cast complex spells and also raise shields, something he was still not accustomed to. Despite that, he knew that if he trained, it might take only a few months to achieve the same level of execution he had with a wand.

For now, his mind was occupied with other things, but he would have to work on it at some point. After all, he did not want to depend solely on his wand and also wanted another way to cast magic from the other side, allowing him to perform double attacks or defend himself while attacking.

Either way, Severus looked at the professor to continue. "I can still do many more things. I can even stagger my opponent."

Severus did that without making any gesture, using only a thought. Flitwick was pushed slightly to the side, quickly regaining his balance, but he could not help looking at Severus in surprise as he realized that he had been lightly shoved.

"You can do that too, Mr. Snape? You are terribly unfair in a duel. There's no way to face someone who can simply push you whenever he wants."

Flitwick believed he was beginning to understand exactly what kind of monster Severus would be in a duel. His opponent could be about to cast a spell when Severus would simply push him, causing him to miss the attack and creating enough of a distraction to strike him immediately afterward.

He could not help swallowing hard, already thinking about everything Severus could do with that unique telekinesis alone, something no one else seemed to possess in the wizarding world.

"Professor, can we continue? I don't think what has been demonstrated alone will be enough to satisfy both our curiosity," Severus said.

He also recognized Flitwick's passion for dueling. The professor had only interrupted the match because he had seen something extraordinary enough that he needed to stop and ask about it.

"Yes, yes! Let's continue," Flitwick said, returning his attention to the matter at hand as he looked at Severus. "I'd like us to continue our duel, although it seems a little unfair with that telekinesis of yours. Could we use it some other day? First, I want to return to our battle as it was until now. But there's no reason for you not to use that telekinesis to block spells." Flitwick first wanted to learn about Severus's abilities without losing his concentration because of so many surprises.

Severus nodded. Although it was not a battle using everything he had, he also wanted to know how far he could go.

The first spells quickly began flying again, while the entire room descended into chaos. Since the next class would only begin at ten o'clock and it was still nine, no one had come near the classroom.

But the sounds were far too thunderous to be ignored by anyone passing nearby.

A student leaving the Ravenclaw common room, located in the same tower, passed near the classroom and heard the explosive sounds. Thinking that something was happening, he approached and entered.

Then he came across an arena set up in the middle of the classroom, while Professor Flitwick fought against a student, casting spells at high speed.

Severus certainly had not faced anyone stronger in that world and was at a disadvantage at first, besides the professor himself holding back from what he could sense, but he quickly began to get the hang of it. He started adapting to the speed of the attacks. And he could cast nonverbal spells at high speed and, although he still had much to improve with his wand, he was not falling behind.

The professor was becoming increasingly impressed with him, beginning to take the duel even more seriously, since he had not truly exerted himself until that moment either and wanted to discover just how far Severus could go.

Severus was certainly losing in magic for now, so he had to expand his options beyond simple spells. Another area in which he would be good was Dark Magic, but that was not appropriate for a duel like this. Transfiguration, on the other hand, would be perfectly suitable.

At the same time, he focused on expanding his mind, trying to perceive every flow of magic, every particle being launched, and every attack leaving the professor's wand before it was even fully executed.

Severus quickly began working with that kind of situation. He would have to improve his perception even further in the middle of a battlefield. He was using what he had developed over years of battles in his other life and, although his body was still not quite suited for it, he was already trying to enter that battle state again, but now focused on magic.

The planks of the platform then began to transform. Several animals began emerging from them, with the wood itself breaking apart and transfiguring as the magic expanded until it created two complete leopards, roaring.

How had he done that?

Well, Severus had lived alongside all kinds of animals under his command for two centuries and had also studied them extensively. He knew exactly how most of them worked.

Except those were not normal leopards. They were Shadow Cats known in his other world, larger and far more ferocious than those described in this world.

Flitwick was surprised when the two animals leaped toward him, forcing him to use a spell to reverse the transfiguration.

Severus did not stop. While defending himself with one hand, he began tearing more splinters from the table to create other transfigurations, forming several crows that immediately advanced on Professor Flitwick.

The professor quickly defended himself, but his attention was now more focused on the animals than on Severus, who took advantage of every opportunity to cast spells from the flanks. Despite that, Flitwick responded with the reflexes of a master.

Severus could not help but laugh. He was having fun as he continued conjuring more animals and attacking the professor.

At that moment, the first-year class that would have their next lesson of the day with Professor Flitwick began to arrive. Along with them, other students passing through the corridor stopped out of curiosity, some nearly forgetting their own classes as they witnessed the speed of the battle taking place at that moment.

Soon, young Slytherin and Gryffindor students joined the older Ravenclaw students, all watching the duel in fascination.

'You're putting on quite a show there,' Severus heard Articuno say in his mind, but he did not even have a chance to respond, merely remaining focused.

Professor Flitwick was surrounded by the crows, launching attacks against them while raising shields at the same time to defend himself from Severus's spells.

Then, he created an enormous wave of force that simply blasted away all the crows around him. Severus felt the table shake, but thanks to his knowledge of footwork, he easily maintained his balance. Even so, he could not help but look at the professor with admiration for the spell he had cast.

Flitwick no longer seemed to be holding back as much.

"I think I'm a little rusty, but certainly, Mr. Snape, you are very impressive," Flitwick said, slightly out of breath.

Severus could not help but open his mouth slightly to catch his breath, but he still maintained a smile. His physical condition remained better than Flitwick's.

"Professor, can I use elemental spells too? And I wanted to know if I can transform into my Animagus form."

"Well, I don't see why not. Even though it's not a normal trait for duelists, I see no reason to forbid it," Flitwick replied.

Despite that, he himself had some doubts. He had never treated that as a condition for determining what was or was not allowed within a duel, but he had no reason to deny it to the sixth-year student.

At the same time, he was quite interested in seeing that transformation. Professor McGonagall had already mentioned the Ministry's notice and request, since Severus Snape was the seventh registered Animagus in all of Great Britain and, even more impressively, the first in the world and history to transform into a magical animal, while the others possessed the forms of ordinary animals.

Severus observed the crowd of people staring at them and could not help but laugh.

"Are you still going to put on a show for us, Mr. Snape?" Flitwick asked, challenging him.

Severus maintained his smile. "Yes."

In the next moment, he leaped. His body began to transform while still in the air, as a glow of light quickly became white as snow. His four paws landed on the platform and a wolf two meters tall and nearly four meters long appeared in the ring, its red eyes staring directly at Professor Flitwick.

"Oh... this is impressive," Flitwick could not help but murmur as he observed the animal.

At the same time, a chorus of exclamations arose among the first-year students. They were certainly surprised. McGonagall's first transformation, performed on the first day of class, when she had transformed into a cat on top of the desk, now seemed like child's play compared to the enormous wolf Severus had transformed into.

Ghost, his former companion, came once again into this world through his Animagus form. It was a way for Severus to keep that old life in his heart after Ghost's death. After all, a giant wolf could not live for two centuries as he had.

Ghost lived for fifty years by his side in Arctic until, finally, one day he passed away. It was a sad day. Most giant wolves, even the strongest ones, modified by Severus's proportions or enhanced genetics, lived between twenty and thirty years. Ghost, being a true Giant Wolf, lived longer than all the others, and he had deeply felt his death at the time.

But he still kept him with him through that transformation. He would never forget Ghost and felt that he and the wolf would always be together for as long as he lived, even if now it was within him.

Severus stomped hard on the ground and released a howl that echoed throughout the entire room and beyond. Then, he touched his paws to the ground once more and generated an explosion of ice, which quickly spread throughout the entire area where he and Flitwick stood.

Flitwick was surprised, but also excited. It truly was a magical sight unlike any other.

Seeing Flitwick studying him, Severus launched his attack. Several ice arrows began to appear around him. He could manipulate the air around him, using his elements to expand the ice and make it take whatever shape he desired. It should have been impossible to generate objects made of ice solely from the air, but magic existed precisely to do things that not even physics and logic could allow.

He quickly launched the arrows at Flitwick.

The professor created a shield and also launched an attack, Severus's offensive serving as the signal for them to continue the duel.

Severus quickly created an ice shield in front of himself, defending against the attacks before launching it as a projectile. Flitwick responded with fire and continued defending himself with his own shields while more arrows were launched at him.

Severus continued creating various objects of ice around himself and even allowed some spells to strike his body. As a magical beast, his form had acquired resistance to magic, so spells such as "Petrificus Totalus" and other similar ones did not even tickle him.

The battle continued for some time, even going beyond the time when the class was supposed to begin. But neither the professor nor the students complained or even seemed to notice it.

Everyone was far too focused on watching. After all, before them was a true battle between a magical beast and Professor Flitwick.

Severus launched a beam of ice, causing Flitwick to quickly dodge, as he instinctively knew that he would be unable to withstand it directly. The beam of ice struck the other side of the room, quickly creating a frozen wall that expanded at a speed from which no one would have been able to escape by running if they had been nearby.

Seeing that, Severus decided to end the battle. He would certainly still have difficulty defeating him while he had a wand in his hand, but as a magical beast, things were different.

He slammed his paws against the ground and let out a howl. The moment the sound echoed, the entire atmosphere changed.

An explosion of blizzard engulfed the arena, making even the students scream and try to move away, with some leaving the classroom. Severus, however, did not expand the snowstorm throughout the entire room, keeping it only within that space.

All the students could see an enormous hurricane of snow swirling around the arena. An icy gale reached them, but the snow never crossed the boundaries of that area.

All they could see were a few seconds of that storm before Professor Flitwick came running out of it wearing a coat, his hands gripping his own arms as he tried to warm himself.

"I give up! I give up!" he said.

It was one thing to face spells and defend against them, but something completely different to face someone capable of changing the environment itself. Even though Flitwick could transfigure a fur coat, as he had done, the cold was far too intense.

He was incapable of defeating that magical beast alone. Flitwick even found himself wondering whether creatures like that had truly existed in some other era, since that species had been classified as an extinct beast, unable to be properly studied by the men of the Ministry.

Either way, the snow finally ceased.

Severus remained standing in the middle of the carpet atop the enormous table, while his face almost seemed to form a smile in that wolf form.

Then he leaped from the platform and quickly used his telekinesis, even in wolf form, undoing the transfiguration while transporting each of the desks back to its proper place.

"Well, I suppose it's over..." Flitwick said, watching everything return to its place while still staring at Severus.

He could not help but laugh and lightly touch his fur. "You look great in this form, Mr. Snape. You'll certainly be quite popular among the students," he said.

Severus wanted to laugh, but his animal features were unable to express it properly. He merely nodded before beginning to walk.

He knew he was already late. He headed toward the students, who immediately made way for him. Despite the evident curiosity in their eyes, there was also a certain fear in the presence of that enormous animal.

But one of the students did not move away. Heloísa approached, seeing Severus's transformation for the first time, and touched his head. He could not help but close his eyes at her touch.

She seemed far too small beside that giant wolf standing two meters tall, while Severus lowered his head toward her.

"So cute!" she exclaimed, finding his fur incredibly soft.

This encouraged the other students, who quickly began touching Severus's fur all around him. The students started laughing, while even some of the older ones could not help but look on with a certain envy. Even they wanted to touch the creature.

Severus allowed them to rub their palms against his fur. Despite it being a little cold, the students continued having fun, even the arrogant Slytherins, who did not miss the opportunity to touch that enormous creature.

Either way, Severus took a step forward, causing the students to finally move away from him, and headed out of the classroom.

As soon as he reached the corridor, he began running toward the dungeons, still in his wolf form, while the portraits immediately began screaming as they saw him pass, desperately announcing that there was a monster running loose through the castle.
