Chapter 207 — The Second Step

Cherry stood several meters away.

The Shadow held his glaive in one hand.

Water still flowed around the weapon.

Neither moved.

Then—

Cherry disappeared.

“Wind Step!”

WHOOSH!

She crossed the distance instantly, Her twin swords flashed toward the Shadow's chest.

He turned the glaive sideways.

CLANG!

The first sword was deflected —Cherry twisted, Her second sword came from below.

The Shadow stepped back and rotated the glaive.

CLANG!

He caught the second strike —Then he pushed the shaft forward.

Cherry raised her arm, the glaive struck her guard and forced her backward.

She landed lightly.

The Shadow didn't chase, Instead, he lowered his glaive —Water gathered around the blade.

“Water Reinforcement.”

The water compressed tightly around the glaive.

Cherry's eyes narrowed and thought inwardly "He's making it heavier again"

The Shadow stepped forward—The glaive swept toward her.

Cherry ducked, the weapon passed over her head —She spun and struck his side.

The Shadow shifted the glaive behind him.

CLANG!

He blocked without turning fully.

Cherry immediately used Wind Step.

WHOOSH!

She appeared behind him, Her sword moved toward his back.

The Shadow turned.

Their weapons collided.

CLANG!

Cherry was pushed away, She didn't stop —She drew her bow.

The Shadow watched her carefully.

“Rain of Arrows.”

The arrow shot into the sky

It split.

Then split again.

Dozens of arrows descended.

The Shadow looked up, He moved his glaive in a controlled arc —Several arrows were deflected.

Others struck the ground around him.

Cherry watched.

He's not using it yet.

She fired another arrow.

The Shadow stepped through the gaps.

Another wave came.

He blocked.

Then—

“Second Step.”

His body disappeared.

Cherry's eyes sharpened.

The arrows struck empty ground.

She didn't fire again, Instead, she waited.

The Shadow reappeared several meters away.

Cherry immediately rushed him.

“Wind Step!”

The Shadow raised his glaive.

Cherry's sword struck the shaft.

CLANG!

She attacked again.

The Shadow turned the glaive and redirected the blade.

Cherry stepped around him.

He followed her movement.

Their weapons collided again and again.

Neither wasted a strike.

Cherry suddenly lowered one sword.

“Full Moon.”

Her palm drove toward his chest.

The Shadow's expression changed.

“Glaive Stunner.”

Cherry's palm struck the glaive.

BUZZ!

A violent vibration traveled through her hand —Her arm went numb for a moment.

The force pushed her backward.

Cherry used the distance, Her bow was already in her hand — She nocked an arrow at point-blank range.

“Gale Shot.”

FWOOOSH!

The arrow exploded forward.

“Water Reinforcement.”

The Shadow strengthened his glaive with water.

The weapon became heavier.

He effortlessly swung it across his body.

CLANG!

The arrow was knocked away.

Cherry's eyes narrowed , She immediately fired again.

“Rain of Arrows!”

The arrow split apart.

Dozens of arrows filled the air.

The Shadow narrowed his eyes.

“Water Pull.”

Water gathered in front of him.

Before the arrows could reach him—the Shadow was gone.

Cherry's expression hardened.

He didn't use Second Step.

She scanned the battlefield.

Then—

The Shadow suddenly stopped several meters away.

He released his glaive.

The weapon shot through the air.

Cherry's eyes widened, She twisted her head.

WHOOSH!

The glaive passed her face by only a few inches.

Before she could react—

“Second Step.”

The Shadow disappeared.

Cherry's pupils contracted.

He reappeared behind her.

His hand caught the glaive as it flew past.

Without hesitation, he swung downward.

The glaive came straight toward Cherry's exposed back.
