I Accidentally Built a Harem at the Beast Academy
Chapter 34: Pretty Things are Often Poisonous
The guy chased Blair past the grand fountains, his lungs burning with every frantic breath. He dodged a group of startled beastwomen, his gray shoes slipping dangerously on the wet cobblestones as he tried to keep her in his sights. But no matter how hard he sprinted, he just couldn’t close the distance.
He finally gave up halfway across the courtyard.
He doubled over, planting his hands on his knees as he gasped for air. Sweat beaded on his forehead. He stared down the empty path, baffled. Blair was ridiculously fast; one second she had been standing right in front of him, and the next, she was a blur of gray disappearing behind the stone pillars.
He barely had time to properly catch his breath before a sharp, upbeat ringtone chimed from his pocket.
The guy quickly stood up, looking around to make sure the courtyard was empty. He ducked behind a thick, ivy-covered stone wall, fishing his cell phone out of his trousers. He swiped the screen and pressed it to his ear. Someone spoke on the other end of the line.
"I don’t know, she just ran off," he said irritably, his voice hushed. "Maybe she’s crazy."
A tinny, muffled voice buzzed from the speaker against his ear. He rolled his eyes, leaning his back against the stone.
"My name is Caleb," he snapped, running a sweaty hand through his hair. "Stop calling me ’Agent Short-stuff’. We don’t even need codenames! This isn’t a spy movie!"
Another buzz of static drifted from the phone, the caller clearly amused by his outburst. Caleb let out a sigh.
"It’s insane, you’d think someone who is ignored and avoided by every other human on this campus would be happy when someone finally comes to talk to them," Caleb argued defensively. He paused, listening to the voice on the other end reprimand him. "I am not trying too hard! I just offered her lunch!"
Another buzz of static drifted from the phone.
"Are you even sure it’s the right person?" Caleb asked, peeking around the corner of the wall before ducking back into the shadows. "She looks plain. Boring. I mean, her face is pretty, sure, but I thought they were supposed to be super super pretty and otherworldly."
He let out a long-suffering sigh at whatever the person on the line replied.
"Fine," Caleb muttered, rubbing the back of his neck. "I’ll keep trying."
He hung up the call, slipping the phone back into his pocket, and carefully crept out from behind the wall, jogging off toward the agricultural wing.
Unbeknownst to Caleb, he wasn’t the only one hiding in the shadows of the alcove.
Just around the corner, cloaked by the deep shade of the marble pillars, Jasper Silver leaned casually against the stone.
He was breathtaking. Long, flowing blue hair cascaded over his shoulders, catching the ambient light like a shimmering waterfall. He wore his academy jacket open, his white undershirt unbuttoned halfway down his chest to reveal a stunning arrangement of layered pearl necklaces and diamond chains.
He looked like an ethereal, delicate piece of art.
He was also getting a blowjob.
A human girl was on her knees on the stone floor between his legs. Jasper’s hands rested lazily on her head, his pearl and diamond rings digging slightly into her hair as she worked.
But Jasper’s bright blue eyes weren’t looking down at her. They were fixed on the ground as he continued to listen to the sounds around him. He had heard every single word spoken by the tiny voice coming through the phone’s speaker.
"Even you humans have such delicious secrets," Jasper murmured to himself, his voice smooth and melodic.
He didn’t even cum. He didn’t care to anymore. The sudden influx of interesting information eclipsed his physical desires.
"Stop," Jasper said softly, his fingers tightening in the girl’s hair to pull her back.
The girl gasped, pulling away and looking up at him with wide, confused eyes. She wiped her mouth, her chest heaving. "My Lord? Did I do something wrong?"
"No," Jasper sighed, looking down at her with a sweet, empty smile. "I am just bored of you now."
The color completely drained from the girl’s face.
"No, please," she begged, her voice trembling violently as she scrambled closer to his legs. "Please, sir, I can still entertain you! I can do better!"
Her hands shook as she frantically reached for the hem of her own uniform. Desperate to sell herself, to prove she still had value, she stripped her shirt and bra off right there on the cold stone, leaving herself completely nude from the waist up.
Jasper stared down at her shaking, exposed chest. His beautiful blue eyes were as cold and dead as the bottom of the ocean.
"Your frail, human body does absolutely nothing for me," Jasper stated bluntly, unaffected by her display.
"Please!" the girl sobbed, wrapping her arms around his knees. Tears ruined her careful makeup, streaming down her face. "I cut off all my friends to be yours! I abandoned everyone! I can’t go back!"
Jasper tilted his head. The sweet, breathtaking smile returned to his lips, making him look like a monkshood flower: vibrant, alluring, and deadly.
"Are you implying I should torture you for fun instead?" Jasper asked brightly.
The girl choked on a sob, violently shaking her head. "No! No, please, find some other use for me! Anything!"
Jasper hummed thoughtfully. He reached down, trailing a cold, diamond-clad finger down her cheek. "There is one thing you could do for me."
"Anything," she practically gasped, staring up into his hypnotic blue eyes. "Please, sir."
Jasper smirked. He grabbed the back of her head and forcefully guided her mouth back down to his cock.
"I want you to bring this Blair person to me," Jasper commanded softly, his fingers tangling in her hair. "Do it, or die a very fun death."
Trapped by his gaze, entirely dependent on his mercy, the terrified girl nodded frantically while sucking him.
"Good girl," Jasper whispered, gently patting the top of her head.
