I Am Not A Goblin Slayer
Chapter 1032 - 494: The Heavenly Thunder That Devours Everything
At this moment, his mind was so calm that it was devoid of any extraneous thoughts.
A massive amount of Spiritual Power was instantly drained into the void.
Then, a powerful spiritual attack, sharp as a sword, extended through Gauss’s gaze, instantly and firmly pinning down the Goblin Lord he was staring at.
In truth, the Spiritual Prison Spell did not require eye contact, but Gauss chose to fix his gaze on it to increase the success rate of the Casting. This was just like how Casters would use specific gestures, postures, or mediums for Casting.
HUM.
Compared to the Splendid Light Ball released earlier, this 6th-tier Spell appeared exceptionally subtle.
In the slowed flow of time, and under Snaz’s terrified gaze, an invisible yet formidable spiritual wave erupted before it. Like a spiritual black hole, it began to pull at Snaz’s consciousness.
If it had been in its prime, there might have been a high probability of resisting it. After all, a level-15 Lord Demon, bolstered by the momentum of a monster army, possessed sufficient resistance on the spiritual level. But right now, it was too exhausted and weak. After a brief struggle, its consciousness was quickly swept into the vortex.
HUM.
When Snaz regained its senses, it found itself in an unfamiliar world of pure blackness.
"Where am I?" it wondered.
The change in its surroundings was so abrupt that Snaz swallowed hard, feeling utterly bewildered.
"Welcome to my world," Gauss’s voice echoed beside its ear.
Here, he didn’t need to race against time. As long as the Magic Power of this Spell was not depleted, this stagnant Spiritual World would not collapse. Although the exact duration could not be determined due to the inability to observe it, in Gauss’s Perception, it should last for several days.
For Gauss, his time and experiences in the Spiritual World were non-existent. This was merely a fragment of his consciousness; his main consciousness did not need to immerse itself here. Aside from the massive amount of Spiritual Power consumed to release the Spell, he would not suffer any negative effects from this prolonged stretch of time.
"It’s you!" Hearing the voice, Snaz’s eyes instantly widened.
It truly hadn’t expected Gauss to possess such a bizarre teleportation method. Just as it prepared to violently spring up and flee, a powerful force firmly rooted it to the spot.
That brutal strength felt extraordinarily foreign to it. Then, extreme terror swept up from the bottom of its heart. It had been a long time since it last experienced the sensation of being bound by someone else, unable to move a muscle. It was as powerless as it had been during its childhood.
Where was its power? Where was the bloodline power that strengthened its body? Why had it all vanished?
No one would answer its confusion.
SLASH.
While it was fixed in place, a sharp knife was pressed against its abdomen.
Its skin seemed to have become as soft as tofu, losing all defensive capabilities. Under its horrified gaze, its skin was sliced open bit by bit, allowing blood and intestines to smoothly spill out.
"ARGHHHHH!"
The agony erupting within its mind instantly swallowed its consciousness.
In the void, Gauss sensed its frailty and the fear frantically bubbling up from it. He couldn’t help but shake his head. Such a powerful creature was so utterly powerless in the Spiritual World, completely at his mercy. Experiencing the might of the 6th-tier Spiritual Prison Spell once again, he realized it was no wonder its value surpassed that of many 7th-tier Spells.
"Enjoy it in peace. The time ahead will be very long," Gauss said plainly, though he wasn’t sure if the goblin, currently drowning in extreme agony, could hear his voice.
He had already seen the goblin’s fear. He would inflict every ounce of fear it exuded back onto it within the Spiritual World.
What it feared were the exact atrocities and tortures it had inflicted upon enslaved humans and servants in the past, back when it was the abuser. Only, in the past, these were its means of amusement; now, they were the punishments it had to endure.
Several days passed in a flash within the Spiritual World.
Snaz’s consciousness returned to its body.
"HAA!!"
In just an instant, the face of the frantically running Snaz twisted completely out of shape, and its mind instantly went blank.
Could one imagine the accumulated agony of days of continuous torture erupting in a single moment? That pain, worse than death, nearly sent Snaz into shock. No, it would be more accurate to say that if not for the protective blessing of the military momentum wrapping its body, it indeed would have fainted.
THUD.
Losing control of its body, Snaz skidded across the ground for over a hundred meters. After coming to a halt, its entire body was still violently convulsing. Even that tough layer of black light Protective shield was trembling madly, its thousands of sharp protrusions seeming to narrate the torment their master was currently enduring.
SWISH.
Gauss appeared hundreds of meters in the air above where Snaz had fallen. Without any hesitation, he waved his Magic Staff, and the six Splendid Light Balls slowly rotating around him blasted out in unison.
He commanded in his mind, "Wish, amplify power!"
The six light spheres instantly deepened in hue a moment after he used Wish. More Magic Power surged from his body into the six orbs.
By some unseen intuition, Gauss could feel that the moment the Splendid Light Balls hit the goblin, they were guaranteed to trigger his title’s critical strike effect.
Just a moment before the Spell left his body, he swiftly flew higher into the sky.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The Splendid Light Balls erupted at several times the speed of sound, transforming mid-air into lightning with the absolute strongest destructive and Piercing power.
The black light around Snaz seemed to sense the impending crisis. Despite violently trembling, it still formed a protective barrier that enveloped the creature. Faintly, the legion’s momentum condensed into a beast-like phantom around it.
But compared to the super-amplified Splendid Light Balls, these defenses appeared somewhat feeble.
The instant the first streak of lightning touched the black light, it immediately erupted with even greater might. The powerful lightning instantly electrolyzed and annihilated the nearest monsters into particles.
Six bolts of heavenly lightning swallowed the area where Snaz lay, instantly creating a blindingly intense glare that lasted for over ten seconds and a powerful lightning prison that spanned hundreds of meters. Objects in the core area—whether dirt, rocks, vegetation, or monsters—were instantly vaporized into nothingness.
Hundreds of meters away, the earth churned. Air currents flipped away everything in their path while countless bolts of lightning slithered through, transforming into lightning dragons that devoured monsters.
In a flash, the entire night sky lit up as bright as day!
Within a radius of tens of miles, all humans and monsters saw the distant night instantly illuminated.
Gauss flew to an altitude of over a thousand meters. Panting heavily, he gulped down a massive amount of Natural Magic to replenish his dried-up Magic Power.
Looking down at the Hell he had created, he couldn’t help but swallow slightly, somewhat astounded.
A 6th-tier Magic Spell, coupled with the base title bonus against goblins, the Profession specialty of Advanced Spell Mastery, the Cannon Mage, the Racial Talent bonuses of Dragon King Descendant and Top-tier Magic Element Body, the power amplification of Wish, and the guaranteed critical strike—all of these elevated the power of this attack to an absolute peak.
"Successfully killed Extraordinary Demon Goblin Lord x1."
Just as Gauss began to doubt whether the Goblin Lord could have survived such an attack, a kill notification flashed before his eyes. Seeing the prompt, he instantly breathed a sigh of relief.
However, this also proved that the opponent was indeed harder to kill than he had imagined. It seemed it didn’t die the very moment the attack landed; it resisted for several seconds before its soul finally returned to the heavens.
In this regard, Gauss was even a little perplexed. It was as if an invisible force had been trying to preserve its life.
But no matter what, the opponent was dead in the end.
Holding his slightly dizzy head, the corners of Gauss’s mouth finally curled upwards.
