I Am Not a Villain, Okay?

Chapter 27: Spear Art

An hour later, it was over 7:30 PM.

He went downstairs with Mirai. Although Mirai didn’t train seriously, the fact that she was able to train for an hour proved she had the right mindset.

As they started eating, Levi spoke.

"Dad, I learned a lot about the Dark Guild from the Mayor today."

Morgan’s hand paused before he nodded.

"Hmm! You should."

"I also found that my physique allows me to sense the negative emotions towards me."

"Oh? That’s an interesting ability."

"I sensed someone’s hatred. I am worried that person might make a move."

Suddenly, the dinner table fell silent.

Morgan ground his teeth.

"It must be the Dark Guild."

"Huh? Are you sure?"

Levi asked.

Sera passed him the phone with a special news app open. He read through the news and understood what had happened.

Three people had gone missing!

Because the Dark Guild was suspected, this news didn’t appear in a normal news app.

"I will take a week off. Tomorrow is already Friday. You can take a day off as well."

Morgan spoke in a serious tone.

Levi shook his head.

"No, if you do that, it would only make this bad. No one except four of us knows I have this ability."

"Besides, I am not weak."

Morgan glared at his son and said.

"Don’t be so arrogant just because you’ve reached Perfection."

"I am not." Levi tried to argue

"Stop!"

Sera shouted, silencing both father and son.

Mirai snickered when she saw their faces.

Sera sighed and rolled her eyes.

"Levi, first of all, your idea isn’t wrong. That ability can be a really good trump card for you. So, keep it a secret!"

"But your father is also right. You shouldn’t be arrogant enough to think you can take on someone from Dark Guild at your current strength."

"Do you think you will have any chance to do anything here? Who do you think you are? You are just a Martial Apprentice."

"Besides, do you even realize that out of thousands of students from your school, only your name has appeared in the newspaper?"

"That fame doesn’t just come with danger. It also comes with protection. You are the top priority of the mayor, education ministry, and guilds."

"Why do you think the people who want to hurt you will get past these people?"

"Just because you watched a bunch of movies where the main character always has to face everything?"

Hearing that, Morgan nodded.

"Yes, do you think you are some kind of main character of an action movie just because you awakened an impressive physique?"

"Hahahahaha! Brother, you’re so lame."

Mirai couldn’t help but burst into laughter when she heard Morgan’s words.

"Humph! I am not teaching you the second stance."

Levi grumbled.

Mirai didn’t beg him; instead, she continued laughing. The serious atmosphere from before disappeared as if it was never there.

"That reminds me. The sequel to the last movie we watched is coming. Do you want to watch it together?"

Morgan asked.

Sera rolled her eyes and said.

"Let the boy focus on his training. Why are you trying to distract him?"

Levi’s eyes lit up.

"Dad, when will it get released?"

"September 15!"

"Then, I will go with Mike and Sonya."

Sera’s eyes lit up.

"If I remember correctly, you don’t have a friend who is a girl. So, tell me more about this Sonya."

Levi rolled his eyes.

"Mom, it’s nothing like that! She is just competitive. By the way, I found out why I get along with Mike so much."

Although this was Mike’s story, he didn’t mind sharing it with his family. After all, he also wanted his parents to understand Mike.

Sera’s eyes turned red when she heard his story, while Morgan was silent. On the other hand, Mirai simply started crying.

It took them quite a while to calm her down.

"He is a good boy. Levi, you have to take care of him."

Sera said while holding Mirai in her arms. Her previous training was already straining enough.

With so much crying, Mirai immediately fell asleep.

"Hmm! He is a good brother."

Morgan also nodded.

Levi was one of the most hardworking people Sera had seen. Because he was her son, she never tried to brag about it.

But deep down, she couldn’t understand why he was such a good friend to Mike, who was the complete opposite.

She chalked it up to the opposite attracting each other theory and forgot about it.

It turned out, without even knowing, Levi had forged a bond with someone just like him.

Levi might not be in the same condition as him, but that didn’t mean he couldn’t make sacrifices for his sister.

"So, you’ve decided to enter the Outer Ring. Well, considering your situation, I can’t deny it will be very useful."

"Just take care of yourself! Remember Levi..."

Sera lowered her head and kissed him on the cheek.

"You and your sister are the most wonderful gift to your parents."

She wanted to say that if there was danger, run away and save your life first. But to her innocent son, she couldn’t say this.

She didn’t want him to become a bad person.

Tragic it might be, but being a good person in this world was the greatest achievement for a man.

Levi nodded and walked upstairs. He returned to his room, rested for half an hour, before returning to the training room.

Then, he continued his training.

The next day was nothing eventful for him. The school was the same. He did get a lot more attention, but he managed to get through.

After the day ended, Levi returned home and continued with his training.

This time, he chose to use another one-minute enlightenment.

He was thinking about whether he should use two minutes of enlightenment, but considering his previous progress, he chose one minute.

While practicing under enlightenment, every stroke he made with his spear was getting better.

Spear Technique was different from Spear Art.

Spear Technique was all about stance, forms, and movements.

Spear Art was about stance and energy control.

Although Spear Technique was also divided into five realms, the first level in itself was divided into four sub-levels.

This complicated things.

Or at least, he thought it would be complicated, but he was just worrying too much.

With the help of two one-minute enlightenments, he managed to reach the Entry Realm within just two days.

Upon reaching the Entry Realm, he understood what was needed to reach the Early Stage of the First Level.

The first level was known as Spear Control.

In this level, he had to learn to control his stance, movement, and form.

So, the Early Stage was about mastering his stances.

Middle Stage was about mastering his movement, including footsteps, hand movement, and even breathing.

The late stage was about form, which included putting a hundred percent into every strike.

There mustn’t be a single mistake with each form; otherwise he wouldn’t be able to reach the late stage.

The Peak Stage required the combination of all three. That’s why it was also very hard to reach the Peak Stage.

It was just like perfection.

That meant if he wanted to make progress with his First Level of Spear Technique, he had to at least reach Minor Mastery in Spear Technique.

But surprisingly, he could still reach Late Stage by just constantly practicing stance, movement, and form separately.

This explained why the video didn’t explain the movement and form separately; instead, it incorporated the form and movement into the stance.

Because those two things came hand-in-hand with the stance.

There was another reason why the video did it like that.

If one could just practice all three of them together, they didn’t need to worry about the first level.

They could just continuously train until they improved all of them. But this would be more difficult than practicing them separately.

So, some people would try to gain guidance, and most of the guides would simply ask them to practice them separately.

But this also limits a person’s improvement.

That’s why Minor Mastery could allow one to reach Late Stage, but only Perfection could allow one to reach Peak Stage.

The trainee mustn’t practice these forms separately unless they were just satisfied with Late Stage.

If it weren’t for the enlightenment, Levi wouldn’t know this. Of course, with his talent, it would take him some time, but eventually, he would master it.

Even so, he could just focus on improving the Spear Technique to perfection, which would automatically improve his level.

Although this meant he would be practicing all three of them at once.

Tomorrow was a holiday. So, after having a meal, he took one of the Blood Energy Pills and trained till midnight.

Considering he had just improved his blood energy level, he didn’t try to use enlightenment to improve his Body Technique.

Instead, he just focused on reaching perfection through his newfound understanding of the body and energy utilization of the Five Beasts Form.

Even though this was different from the energy control of Techniques.
