Chapter 48: Into the Spatial Crack

So, four people, wearing four robes he bought from the system, walked out towards the Grand Martial Artist.

’I must be out of my mind.’

Mary thought to herself as she followed Levi and the others.

’This is crazy.’

Sonya kept her emotions calm, but her heartbeat was quite loud. Fortunately, the robe had a soundproofing function.

Even if she farted, the sound wouldn’t reach anyone. The smell might.

’Bro! I love you.’

Mike’s excitement was soaring through the roof. Despite his large figure, the robe was hiding it, making him look slender from the outside.

Levi explained that he made these robes just to hide their identity since the Council wasn’t exactly made to follow the rules.

He wanted everyone to join the council, but who truly remained in council was in his hands.

That meant if someone did something bad, he wouldn’t support them. Of course, he wouldn’t be able to stop them either.

Because the other people didn’t explain anything to him.

The Council functioned on a united idea, but without any unity, there would be no idea to follow.

So, Levi just wanted to invite people into the council for one thing.

Points!

As long as they could earn him points, he couldn’t care much.

After all, even without his influence, bad people would still do bad things.

He couldn’t just put a leash on someone and force them to be a good person.

As soon as they appeared in front of those Grand Martial Artists, they immediately became cautious, jumping on the spot.

"Who are you?"

One of them asked immediately while pulling out a dagger from the holster on his back.

"I am L from the Council. Greetings! We came here to enter the Spatial Crack."

His answer stunned the man as he looked at his teammate with a questioning gaze.

"Y-y—you sure you want to enter the crack?"

"Is there a problem?"

Levi asked calmly, but deep down, he couldn’t help but get a bad feeling in his heart.

"No, no, no, please enter the crack!"

Two of them immediately shook their heads and spoke simultaneously.

’Wasn’t that too easy?’

Levi’s lips twitched underneath the cover of the robe.

"M, S, M, let’s go!"

Levi replied as he walked towards the crack.

Just as they passed those two, one of them suddenly asked.

"By the way, why haven’t I heard about the Council before?"

"Because it was recently established by our leader. Do you want to join? Don’t worry, you can still join the Council regardless of what organization you are from."

Levi said as he took out two contract papers belonging to the council.

One of them took the paper, and his lips twitched when he read the first sentence.

’Code- I Am Not Evil’

’Rule No.1- Every council member must do everything in their power to invite other people to join the council.’

’Rule No. 2- Council shall rule the world through the shadows, becoming its darkness and choosing to watch over the world like an owl.’

’Rule No. 3- Council Member is not allowed to speak Council’s role to Outer Ring Member.’

’Rule No. 4- Council has every right to interfere in a conflict that has negative consequences for the people of this world.’

’Rule No.5- The Final Interpretation of the Council’s Main Goal belongs to the creator of the Council; thus, any and all actions performed by the Council are hence registered as evil.’

Looking at the contract, he turned his gaze towards Levi and said.

"What is the purpose of this Council? How strong are its members?"

Levi cleared his throat and said.

"We are just a deputy faction of the Council. If you want to join the main council, we must contribute to the Council."

"The only way to contribute is by doing something that can fundamentally affect the very structure of current politics, economics, and martial arts balance."

"So, do you want to join us?"

The Grand Martial Artist frowned and said.

"I don’t think you recognize us. We are a part of the Dark Guild. Our goal is much grander than yours. But besides, I haven’t heard about the Council before."

Levi’s eyes suddenly released the Hell energy. It was a small amount, but it was so disgustingly overwhelming that it shook both Martial Artists.

Of course, Levi instantly pulled it away. It could work for aura farming, but when it came to strength, this much Hell energy wasn’t enough.

"The leader of the Council is the prophesied savior of the world. When he makes his move, the world shall understand him."

’Savior?’

Mary’s lips twitched. She couldn’t understand how Levi could come up with these lines.

Was it really because he watched too many TV shows?

Mike’s eyes were shining brighter than the full moon.

’So cool, Levi!’

He stepped forward and sternly spoke.

"You who live like rats just to destroy the peaceful lives of ordinary people, how can you understand the greatness of our leader?"

"He is the Sun that brightened our sky. He is the shield that will protect us from all danger."

"He is a sword who will cut all of our enemies. He will not make his move because he wants to."

Mike spread out his arms slightly, pouring out utter reverence in his tone as he said.

"When the world will crumble, when the world has no one to rely on, that is when he will make his move. That is his role as savior."

"So, be grateful that you are even invited to join the Council."

Hearing his words, Levi was speechless.

’Dude! I don’t have a savior complex. I was just trying to scare them with my aura.’

He screamed in his heart, but his words were different.

"M, let’s go!"

Levi turned around and walked towards the crack. The crack was quite big, and it was horizontal. They had to jump into the crack.

The first one to enter the crack was none other than Levi, followed by Mike, Sonya, and finally Mary.

While they entered the crack, the Grand Martial Artists rubbed their heads.

"Are they suffering from Chunnibyou disease?"

"I think they have watched too much drama."

"But this contract.....It has a strange energy. You can feel it, right?"

The other Grand Martial Artist nodded his head and said.

"This energy means the contract has something special with it. Should we sign it? He did say it didn’t matter if we join other organizations."

"Maybe we can find out more about this council and take the information to the Vice Guild Leaders."

"Hmm! Let’s sign! I am not sure why they are so confident about entering the Spatial Crack, but I am pretty sure they will have their mind destroyed soon."

Hearing that, the Grand Martial Artist nodded and said.

"It will take some time to fill this jar."

"Damn!"

Levi cursed.

"Why are you so grumpy all of a sudden? Wait, is this place affecting you?"

Mike asked as his eyes widened.

"Of course not!"

Levi rolled his eyes. He was getting a wave of Evil Points, but the problem was not that.

The problem was he had wasted twenty evil points. If he knew he could enter the Spatial Crack so easily, he wouldn’t have bought them.

"It’s quite normal, isn’t it? Although I don’t understand why we are not changing so much, look around you!"

Mary said as she spread out her arms.

They were standing on dark ground, and they were surrounded by large walls. Inside this place, they could feel an intense pressure.

There were bones everywhere. Some of those bones belonged to humans; others belonged to aliens and monsters.

Even though it was an enclosed space, they could feel the heat coming from some parts, the cold from others, and the strange sound from another.

This place felt so eerie that all of them were a bit shocked.

Fortunately, Levi had the Evil God System that could continuously absorb the negative emotions from this place.

"So, what should we do?"

Mike asked.

Mary rolled her eyes and said.

"Of course, we will refine these. The Genesis Energy contained in those bones is more than enough to change our blood, physique, and even talent."

"It could even give us superpowers at this stage, but it needs to be purified."

As she said that, she looked at Levi.

Levi nodded his head and walked towards the closest bone.

’System, you can immediately absorb the negative emotions of the bone, right?’

[Yes, Host!]

’Good!’

Levi released a deep breath and crouched down.

He touched the bone, and the moment his fingers touched the layer of the bone, he felt a tremendous pressure.

"Argh!"

Levi could feel something happening to his body and mind. An immense pressure so strong that it could literally shatter his body and soul.

But a second later, that pressure disappeared. The negative emotions stored within the bones that had given birth to its spirituality disappeared.

Only then did Levi successfully hold the bone in his hand.

"Purification, finished!"
