As David saw Mo Yuan enter the room, he immediately stood up and walked toward him.

However, his eyes were filled with a complicated look.

’So he really is the same person I met back then.’

David still remembered that day clearly. While he had been cultivating on one of the upper floors of the Cultivation Tower, he had suddenly sensed a strange disturbance coming from below.

When he went to investigate, he saw a young boy surrounded by an extremely dangerous saber intent. The Blood Saber Intent had almost taken control of the boy’s mind.

At that time, David had decided not to interfere.

He had thought it was a pity to kill such a talented young man, especially since the boy was still so young but he never expected that they would meet again and even more shocking was the fact that this young man had already grown to such a terrifying level.

David looked at Mo Yuan with a smile.

"Welcome, Mo Yuan. We have been waiting for you."

Mo Yuan walked forward and gave everyone a polite smile.

"Hello, everyone. I’m Mo Yuan from Dong Hai Base. You must have already heard about me."

"Haha, of course we have," David laughed. "Come, take a seat."

"Thank you."

Mo Yuan sat down and looked at the four Sovereign Realm cultivators sitting before him.

David then introduced them.

"Mo Yuan, these are the other three Sovereign Realm cultivators of Cang Lan Base. It is because of their existence that Cang Lan Base can maintain its position as a Tier 2 base."

He pointed toward the first person.

"This is Mu Bai, the leader of the Mu Family."

"Hello, Senior Mu," Mo Yuan greeted politely.

Mu Bai smiled and waved his hand.

"There is no need to be so polite. You have already helped us greatly during this beast tide."

’He should be Mu Qingying’s father’ Mo Yuan thought.

David then pointed toward another man.

"This is Qin Jiang, the leader of the Qin Family. I’m sure you have heard of the Qin Dojo."

Before Mo Yuan could respond, Qin Jiang looked at him seriously.

"You have awakened Blood Saber Intent."

His voice was solemn.

"I can already sense it from your body."

Mo Yuan’s expression remained calm but before he could answer, David spoke.

"I already know. I was there when his Blood Saber Intent erupted."

David smiled.

"And Mo Yuan was able to control it, so you don’t have to worry about him losing control."

Hearing David defend him, Mo Yuan couldn’t help but smile.

"Yes, I have heard about the Qin Dojo. I even went there once and met Qin Qiong."

The moment he heard that name, Qin Jiang’s expression changed slightly.

Mo Yuan continued.

"He warned me about the Blood Saber Intent because of his warning, I was able to survive when it first awakened."

Qin Jiang’s eyes became complicated.

"Qin Qiong..."

He slowly repeated the name and there was a hint of sadness in his voice.

David let out a quiet sigh and explained.

"Qin Qiong was the greatest genius of the Qin Family during his generation. He possessed Exceptional Grade Cultivation Talent, along with Ultimate Grade Sword and Saber Talents."

"He had a chance of reaching the Monarch Realm."

David paused.

"But something happened to him inside a Strange Portal. His Cultivation Talent became corrupted and everything changed after that."

"I see."

Mo Yuan nodded.

He still remembered the information he had seen when he first used Copy and Paste on Qin Qiong.

His Cultivation Talent had indeed been marked as corrupted.

Qin Jiang lowered his head for a moment before forcing a bitter smile.

"Forget about it. There is nothing we can do now."

David then turned toward another old man sitting nearby.

"Mo Yuan, this is Bai Chuan. He is responsible for managing the Beast Association in Cang Lan Base."

He paused for a moment before continuing.

"Because of him, cultivators in Cang Lan Base can tame beasts and keep them as pets. He also plays an important role in maintaining the balance between humans and beasts inside the base."

Mo Yuan immediately cupped his hands.

"Hello, Senior Bai."

Bai Chuan smiled and nodded.

"Good kid. You are quite polite. If you ever need anything related to beasts, just come to me."

"Thank you, Senior Bai."

After everyone had been introduced, David finally got to the main reason they had called Mo Yuan here.

"Mo Yuan, do you know why we asked you to come?"

Mo Yuan smiled.

"I guess it has something to do with my strength."

"Exactly."

David laughed.

"When we first heard that an Origin Soul Realm cultivator, especially one at the Early Origin Soul Realm, could kill Peak Realm beasts, we were extremely shocked."

He looked at Mo Yuan with a strange expression.

"And when we found out that you are only fifteen years old, we were even more shocked."

Mo Yuan scratched his cheek awkwardly.

David continued.

"Because of your performance during the beast tide, the four of us decided to reward you."

"Reward me?"

Mo Yuan’s eyes brightened slightly.

"Yes. We have decided to give you 200 billion Yuan."

"200 billion?"

Even Mo Yuan was slightly surprised.

"Don’t misunderstand. We know this might not seem like much compared to what you accomplished but the beast tide caused huge losses to Cang Lan Base and the surrounding bases. Our resources are already under a lot of pressure."

David smiled bitterly.

"This is the most we can give you for now."

Mo Yuan nodded seriously.

"I’m already very grateful. Thank you, Seniors."

Seeing how polite he was, Mu Bai’s impression of Mo Yuan improved even more.

"This kid is really good."

Mu Bai suddenly smiled.

"Since you’re so polite and you’re also around the same age as my daughter, how about marrying her?"

The room suddenly became quiet.

Mo Yuan froze.

"Eh?"

He stared at Mu Bai, wondering if he had heard correctly.

Mu Bai didn’t look embarrassed at all.

"My daughter is also around your age, you two would get along quite well."

Mo Yuan coughed awkwardly.

"I’m sorry, Senior Mu but I don’t have any plans for marriage right now."

"Ah, what a pity."

Mu Bai sighed but his smile quickly returned.

"That’s fine. If you change your mind, just come find me."

The other Sovereign Realm cultivators couldn’t help but laugh.

Bai Chuan also joined in.

"Since you mentioned your daughter, then I should say something too."

He looked at Mo Yuan.

"My daughter is also around your age. She is quite talented as well. Her name is Bai Ningning. You should have heard of her."

Mo Yuan’s face became even more awkward.

"Yes, I have heard of her."

He scratched his hair.

"But Senior Bai, I really don’t have any plans regarding marriage."

"Haha, alright, alright."

Bai Chuan laughed.

David shook his head.

"Give the kid a break. He just turned fifteen. Why are all of you already thinking about marriage?"

The room became lively for a moment. After the laughter settled down, David’s expression became serious again.

"But the reward isn’t the only reason we called you here."

Mo Yuan immediately focused.

"We also have a proposal for you."

"A proposal?"

Mo Yuan looked at him curiously.

David nodded.

"You have incredible talent but Cang Lan Base is not the best environment for someone like you to grow."

"We want you to go somewhere better."

Mo Yuan’s eyes narrowed slightly.

"Where?"

David smiled.

"To the Holy Base."
