As soon as Mo Yuan stepped out of his cultivation chamber, he glanced at the clock.

It was already nine in the morning.

On the sofa in the living room, Goldy was sleeping on one side while Kitty rested on the other. Both of them looked completely relaxed, as if they had no worries in the world.

Mo Yuan stared at them for a moment.

‘These slackers…’

He shook his head helplessly. After spending nearly a month cultivating, he had expected at least one of them to be doing something useful but as usual, the two little beasts were simply enjoying their peaceful lives.

Mo Yuan walked over and sat down on a chair.

Not long after, the door to Mo Ran’s room opened and she stepped out.

Today was Sunday, so she did not have to attend the academy. That was why she was still at home.

As soon as she saw Mo Yuan, her eyes lit up.

“Brother! You’re finally out of seclusion!”

Mo Yuan smiled and nodded.

“Yeah. I’ve finished cultivating for now.”

Mo Ran approached him, looking happy. It had been almost a month since she had last seen her brother properly.

After a moment, Mo Yuan spoke.

“Raner, remember I told you that we would be leaving this base and moving to another one?”

Mo Ran nodded. He had already told her about their plan to leave Cang Lan Base.

However, her expression soon became a little downcast.

“Brother… are we really leaving again?”

She lowered her head slightly.

Ever since they had settled in Cang Lan Base, she had made several friends at the academy.

She had finally gotten used to living here and now she had to leave them behind and start a new life somewhere else.

Seeing her expression, Mo Yuan felt a little bad but there was nothing he could do about it.

The Holy Base offered far better resources and opportunities for cultivation. It was also the strongest human base, where they would be much safer from beast attacks.

Staying in Cang Lan Base for too long would only delay their progress.

“Yes,” Mo Yuan said. “We’re going to the Holy Base. It’s the strongest human base and the Human Federation is located there. We’ll be much safer and you’ll have access to better cultivation resources.”

Hearing this, Mo Ran’s expression changed.

“The Holy Base? Brother, are you talking about the place where the Human Federation is located?”

Mo Yuan nodded.

“That’s right.”

Mo Ran’s eyes widened.

She had learned about the Holy Base at the academy. It was a place that countless cultivators dreamed of visiting and only the most talented people could hope to study at the Human Federation Academy.

“Brother, are you really going to study at the Human Federation Academy?”

Mo Yuan smiled at her shocked expression.

“That’s the plan. I’ll be participating in the entrance test.”

Mo Ran stared at him for a few seconds before finally speaking.

“Then… you’ll be studying at the best academy of the human race!”

Mo Yuan chuckled.

“Alright, alright. You don’t need to be so shocked.”

He leaned back in his chair.

“We’ll leave in the next few days. You should say goodbye to your friends tomorrow. We might leave the day after.”

Mo Ran nodded.

“Okay, brother.”

Mo Yuan looked at her for a moment before opening her talent panel.

Human: Mo Ran

Cultivation Talent: Standard Grade

He studied the information carefully.

‘Her cultivation talent is still only Standard Grade. It’s time to improve it.’

Mo Yuan had already planned to help her increase her cultivation talent before she begin her cultivation and not only that he also had a treasure from secret realm which could help someone get new talent.

He then stood up.

“Raner, come with me.”

Mo Ran looked at him curiously but followed without asking any questions.

Mo Yuan walked toward his cultivation chamber. Goldy and Kitty, who had been sleeping on the sofa, raised their heads and watched them leave.

After a brief pause, the two little beasts followed them as well.

Inside the cultivation chamber, Mo Ran looked around with curiosity.

“Brother, why did you bring me here?”

Mo Yuan did not answer immediately. Instead, he took out a fruit from his storage ring.

It looked somewhat like a flower, with several layers of red petals surrounding its core. A faint warmth radiated from it and even from a distance, Mo Ran could feel its unusual energy.

This was the Crimson Flame Fruit.

Mo Yuan and Goldy had discovered it during their exploration of the Secret Realm. It was a rare treasure that could grant a fire-related talent to the person who consumed it.

Most people who ate the fruit would awaken a Standard Grade Fire Talent. There was also a small chance of obtaining a Superior Grade one.

Mo Yuan did not plan to use it as he already possessed a Flame Talent and he also got it for Mo ran in the first place.

Before improving her cultivation talent with the Earth Heart Nectar, he wanted to give her this opportunity as well.

Mo Yuan turned toward her.

“Mo Ran, sit down cross-legged.”

Mo Ran glanced at the fruit in his hand, then obediently sat down.

Mo Yuan handed it to her.

She carefully took the fruit and looked at him.

“Brother, what is this?”

Mo Yuan smiled.

“Don’t worry about it. Eat it first, then close your eyes. I’ll explain everything afterward.”

Mo Ran hesitated for only a moment.

Since it was her brother who had given it to her, she trusted him completely.

She nodded and took a bite.

The fruit melted in her mouth, turning into a warm stream of energy that flowed through her body.

On the other side, Goldy watched the scene and nodded to himself.

He recognized the fruit. After all, he had been the one who guided Mo Yuan toward it in the Secret Realm.

Mo Yuan’s expression became serious as he observed his sister.

Mo Ran’s face slowly changed. Her skin began to turn red and a faint heat spread from her body.

Mo Yuan did not panic.

He knew that this was the process of acquiring the talent.

He opened her talent panel and carefully watched for any changes.

‘Come on, Raner. Let’s see what grade of talent you can obtain.’
