I Ascend to the Divine Throne through Arcane Means
Chapter 1916 - 1032: Rot Fog Horn
Chapter 1916: Chapter 1032: Rot Fog Horn
Even when facing the [Dark Lord] Grazz’t, Lis could still feel Grazz’t’s reverence for the Abyss Will.
But in the same situation, Lis did not feel this from Cain.
Therefore, he speculated that there was an inexplicable relationship between Cain and the Endless Abyss Will.
Lis did not plan to continue asking about this matter.
If Cain wanted to tell him, he would have already mentioned it.
As a strong entity who has been opposing Demogorgon for so many years, Lis does not doubt Cain.
At this moment, listening to Cain’s suggestion seems like the better choice for Lis.
"With this Treasure Bead, can I make a move?"
Lis pondered for a while, then asked Cain.
"You can use Vampire methods that don’t exceed the aura of this Treasure Bead."
Cain nodded and said:
"If the aura exceeds the limit of this Treasure Bead, it might be detected by Demogorgon, especially powers above the Legendary Rank."
"I understand."
Lis nodded and said.
"Do you have any knowledge about those Abyss Planes?"
Lis also had some considerations about this situation.
Most importantly, Lis worried he might not discover Demogorgon’s backup plans.
After all, he could not utilize overly powerful forces.
Regarding the previous situation of those Abyss Planes, after Demogorgon made a move, it wasn’t much of use.
There must be a lot of arrangements within those Abyss Planes.
Moreover, Demogorgon definitely set up considerable defensive mechanisms nearby.
"I don’t know."
Cain shook his head and then continued:
"In fact, just like the [Dark Lord], I am closely watched by Demogorgon."
"So, I’m not very familiar with the situation there either."
"I can attempt to break Demogorgon’s seal, but as soon as I act, Demogorgon will notice."
"If Demogorgon detects my move, the difficulties you face will become greater."
"I understand."
Lis nodded and said.
He clearly understood what Cain meant.
If Lis goes directly now, Demogorgon’s arrangements would remain unchanged.
If Demogorgon detects Cain acting secretly, the implications would be different.
Demogorgon would definitely shift all his attention over.
Therefore, Cain is best not to act.
For an entity of Demogorgon’s caliber, deceiving him is extremely challenging.
Moreover, there’s interference from the Endless Abyss Will.
"I understand, I’ll prepare shortly and set off."
Lis nodded directly and said.
Then, Cain’s figure vanished from before Lis.
After Cain left, the tranquil atmosphere in the tavern instantly dissipated.
Lis glanced at Vivian, nodded slightly, and chose to leave.
He needed to make some preparations.
Within those Abyss Planes, Lis couldn’t use too much force.
Thus, he needed to specifically prepare some Magic Items, crafted from Extraordinary Materials from the Endless Abyss.
This way, he could minimize the chances of being discovered.
This wasn’t a troublesome thing for Lis.
After all, Lis had been transforming the environment in the Abyss Planes under his control and had collected various Extraordinary Materials.
It won’t be long before Lis can enter those Abyss Planes.
...
Endless Abyss, two hundredth layer,
[Rot Fog Horn],
After penetrating the thick, heavy, almost all-consuming Abyssal mists, the feeling of emptiness beneath Lis’s feet suddenly vanished.
He landed steadily on a patch of cold, sticky earth.
The ancient, never-ending black fog, filled with countless wailing souls and an aura of madness, finally disappeared before his eyes.
Lis surveyed the surrounding environment.
According to all records about the two hundredth layer [Rot Fog Horn], this plane should be a prison of pale green acid mist.
Thick corrosive fog would fill every inch of the land, the vaporized strong acid capable of dissolving steel, corroding bodies.
Even Abyss Demons lingering for long would have their flesh slowly eroded and decayed, a dead, corrosive, eternally unrestful wasteland.
This layer almost has no Abyss Demons and likewise no Abyss Lord.
Yet the scene before Lis’s eyes contrasted sharply with all records, overturning his understanding of [Rot Fog Horn].
The pale green corrosive fog that should have shrouded the plane was nowhere to be found.
The air was clean, with no mist flowing, but only a lingering, faint putrid sweet scent proving this place was once thoroughly soaked in acid fog.
The ground beneath was not the hard Abyssal rock, but an expanse of muddy and cratered soil.
The black-brown wet mud was thick, soft, and decaying; stepping onto it would sink half an inch, and lifting one’s foot produced a sticky sound.
The mud layer continuously emitted small grey-white bubbles, each bursting released faint corrosive miasma.
The entire land was uneven, scattered with muddy swamps and pits of varying depths, as if eroded and kneaded by endless years of acid mist, in ruin and decay.
Lis looked up at the sky, witnessing an extreme eerie scene.
The originally dim, grey Abyssal sky completely shed its color, transforming into a thick, coagulated blood-red.
The blood-red veil surged layer upon layer, like countless precipitated dried blood lazily flowing in the sky.
An oppressive, violent, frenzied aura came crashing down, making one’s spirit tense and soul slightly tremble.
Naturally, this effect is nothing to Lis.
And at the center of the entire blood-red sky, a huge rift spanning a thousand miles savagely tore through the veil.
The rift edges were entwined with pitch-black Abyssal miasma and scorching red halo.
Two completely contradictory forces constantly collided and tore, emitting silent vibrations, sweeping across the whole plane.
Through this massive world rift, Lis gazed intently, faintly glimpsing the world on the other side of the rift.
It was the Gaia World he was so familiar with.
Unlike the Abyss’s deathly desolation, across the rift was an expansive, boundless grassland
Yet, this piece of pure land no longer bore life, engulfed entirely by war flames, scarlet flames devouring the grassland, blood flowing everywhere soaking the soil.
Smoke and blood fog mingled and rose, covering the entire grassland in a calamity of blood and fire.
Faintly visible were light and shadow conflicting fiercely on the battlefield, Divine Arts light and Demon shadow clashing.
Countless beings and demons fell and perished in the flames of war, a grand battle unfolding furiously on the other side of the world rift.
Lis slowly withdrew his gaze, his heart weighed heavily.
He clearly perceived a vast, cold, irresistible Abyss Will firmly enveloping the entire [Rot Fog Horn], silently guiding all demons entering this place.
He glanced around, discovering that within this aberrant Abyss Plane, numerous Abyss Demons had already gathered.
Demons, mutants, and corrosive monsters from various lower planes of the Abyss, crossing plane barriers under the Abyss Will’s guidance, converging here.
A myriad of demons populated the nearby swamp, some bore hideous bone spurs and giant wings, some had decayed, twisted bodies, covered in Abyssal aberration markings...
But at this moment, these inherently savage, murder-instinct demons had completely shed their former ferocity.
All demons were trapped in an extremely eerie daze.
Their eyes empty and godless, crimson pupils dimmed, lost all fierceness and intelligence, with surrounding tyrannical murderous aura completely dissipated.
The usual scenes of discord leading to killings and devouring, of kindred slaughter disappeared entirely, the entire plane eerily silent.
No roars and shouts, no fights and bites, not even the slightest sound from the demons.
They seemed like puppets drawn by invisible strings, advancing with stiff mechanical steps, silently and orderly towards the center of the [Rot Fog Horn] plane.
Dense demon troops extended far away, a dead flow slowly surged across the ruined muddy land.
This complemented the blood-red sky and the torn world rift, forming an absurd and shocking tableau.
