Before ‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍fifteen minutes had passed, the City Police Department’s Riot-control Unit arrived at the scene in Riot-control Vehicles。

“The police are here!Brothers retreat!!!”

Seeing the pitch-black gun barrels on the Riot-control Vehicles, the two groups that had just been fighting to the death immediately scattered in every direction, each displaying their own abilities as they fled。

A little under half of them were unfortunately arrested on the spot, after sentencing they would go to prison and work sewing machines, while most successfully escaped。

Things like this were happening every moment in the cities of various nations across the Main Continent。

Bloodshed, violence, chaos had become the main theme。

There were many factors that created this environment, the first was that after their nations were defeated large numbers of troops were forcibly disbanded, and soldiers naturally became unemployed drifters。

And before the Alliance and the various nations finished negotiating the specific construction planning proposals, the overwhelming majority of nations had not yet begun showing demand for labor。

Finally, the most direct factor was that the present belonged to the Age of Declining Magic for Low- and Mid-level Mages。

A Mid-level Mage painstakingly trained for ten or twenty years, then was dropped by a single shot from an 8-year-old child, such a blow was devastating to an entire system。

They were unlike the Mages of the Alliance on the Subcontinent who had already changed tracks, the overwhelming majority of Mages on the Main Continent still followed offensive schools。

It was hard to say in other respects, but for the Low-level and Mid-level Mages who made up the overwhelming majority of the Mage system, there was definitely no way to obtain particularly good treatment on the Main Continent merely through this identity。

Besides fighting they might not be proficient at much else, other than joining gangs and contributing physical labor that cost nothing what else could they do?

The people’s livelihood was withered, large numbers of unemployed people survived on relief, they were so poor they barely had two coins to rub together,no work,no future,if they did not cause trouble what else could they do?

Among this there was also the encouragement of business owners

Naturally they knew what those above were discussing, and also understood that in the future the entire world would experience a great wave of construction and recovery,so how much of this astronomical volume of orders about to be released each could swallow would depend on their respective strength。

And apart from the scale and strength of the companies themselves, underhanded tactics for dealing with competitors naturally also had to exist。

Business owners had money, gangs were so poor that all they had left were people, the two sides cooperated to seize territory while simultaneously suppressing and excluding the influence of other enterprises and gangs within their turf,it could be said they hit it off immediately。

Together with the pessimistic attitude of the various nations’ existing Provisional Governments toward their own future situations, they also allowed those below to remain inactive, and everything from top to bottom descended into chaos。

While Police Forces were clearing out and arresting gang members running around everywhere,a special convoy drove into Kanon City。

The appearance of a convoy was actually still fairly normal, after all Peacekeeping Forces were currently stationed in every nation, and they would occasionally see patrolling military convoys, never mind vehicles, they had even seen tanks many times。

What made it special was that the vehicles in this convoy were unexpectedly beautiful,a polygonal air intake grille paired with vertically arranged headlights,a broad body combined with muscular lines, and glossy black paint that seemed capable of being used as a mirror。

Guardian

Length 5100 millimeters,height 2963 millimeters,wheelbase span 3022 millimeters,longitudinal V8 engine,495 horsepower output with a 6-speed gearbox,the vehicle’s original weight was an exaggerated 4.5 tons,but under the enhancement of Anti-gravity it was only a little over 2 tons。

Most of the vehicle’s weight came from the special steel shell, together with thick Riot-control Glass and Self-defense Weapons。

A 5-meter vehicle body yet it was only a five-seat cabin, the interior was spacious enough that someone in the rear seats could easily lie down and sleep。

However this was the function of the executive version, the versions driven by the other guards in the convoy only had the main and passenger seats, with the rear space stuffed with other things, the name Guardian was not merely something that sounded nice。

The convoy drove unobstructed all the way into Kanon Industrial Park before stopping,a guard jogged to the vehicle at the center of the convoy and opened the door, placing a hand along the edge of the door。

Long legs wrapped in suit trousers stepped onto the newly laid concrete road surface,black-haired Mitia got out of the vehicle, then turned back and bent down to lift little Kate out from beneath her armpits:

“Sherria, take good care of your little sister。”

“Uh this...”

Sherria who had just jumped out of the vehicle looked at Queen Kate, who was crossing her arms and trying hard to tilt her head up as she glared at her,Sherria instinctively pressed her fingers together while her calves trembled slightly。

The moment Mitia said those words she completely froze,if she actually tried to manage Kate would that not make the claim of taking care of her little sister a reality, she was a Queen!

If she did not manage her then that also seemed disrespectful toward the Queen, she felt this was far too difficult, sob sob, although slacking off and loafing around had caused her to still be coasting along at Saint-level even now, surely that was not a crime worthy of death, right?

“What are you glaring at,if you don’t want someone to suddenly put a sack over your head on the road then behave yourself。”

“Let me see who dares put a sack over my damn head!!!”

Mitia turned back and picked Kate up。

Although the probability of actually having a sack thrown over her head was infinitely close to zero, after all together the two of them had at least eighty guards if not a hundred, they still could not abandon their own sensitivity toward potential danger simply because they had been protected by others all year round。

Protection from outsiders was ultimately never as reassuring as one’s own judgment。

As Gorodno State was designated by the Alliance as a Heavy Industrial Manufacturing Center for its allies,Mitia naturally intended to get involved here。

Gorodno State was extremely well located, situated near the central region of three major waterways,at the very front was Cherno, once the largest inland port of the Church。

The State closest to it was Mgrin, the former capital of Suriya Kingdom, while behind it was the fortress complex headed by the former Demetria Bokorezh Fortress。

Once it developed, during peacetime its industrial manufacturing costs for external distribution would be low, making it suitable for developing heavy manufacturing industry。

In wartime it would become a securely protected Super Industrial Cluster guarded from all four directions, with excellent conditions for transporting materiel outward,as well as convenient river and sea routes for receiving Alliance resource supplies。

Moreover its ownership was relatively clear, after the Demetria Church had previously been destroyed and liberated by the Alliance,it was later transferred to Suriya for administration,so it was very easy for the Alliance to control it。

Yes,control。

Of course on the surface it would definitely be the decision of the local State’s own people。

But surely no one actually thought supporting a Heavy Industrial Manufacturing Industry was truly being given away for free right? This was even more like selling out the nation than the Tang Dynasty giving technology away abroad。

If it were ordinary technology it could be supported unconditionally, but an Industrial State positioned as a Mid- to High-end Manufacturing Industrial Cluster would inevitably,as its technological capabilities rose,be matched by binding measures of the same level。

However handing this thing over to any particular side to control did not seem very suitable,in the end Mitia still used Anna’s channels to reveal her identity to the Alliance Central Government, and successfully took over this entire operation。

As the largest investor, the Alliance Central Bank would endorse whatever Mitia did whenever necessary, while also providing unlimited financial support, but it would take a 49% stake。

Of course whether she used this money depended on Mitia’s mood, she herself was already wealthy enough to rival a nation, and even she did not know how much money she had deposited in the Alliance Central Bank。

And the Guardian was trial-produced through the newly established manufacturing plant here in Gorodno State。

Mitia carried Kate as she slowly walked through the Industrial Park, here there were none of the scars from the flames of war still faintly visible outside,it had already become an independent Industrial Kingdom。

Solid composite concrete roads,a rail network extending in all directions,Airship docking ports occupying an extremely broad area with elevated facilities arranged neatly, and several steelworks not far away that were currently belching rolling black smoke。

From the various subcontracting factories, slogans could occasionally be heard, those were new employees undergoing training。

This Industrial Park gathered the overwhelming majority of the Industrial Chain, later subcontracting and distribution would also be carried out based on the State, after the Industrial Chains within the State were linked together and integrated into finished products they would be shipped around the world。

They boarded a commuter vehicle within the park, and soon arrived at the Guardian Manufacturing Center

Although this was said to be a new factory, everything here came from the Alliance, technical assistance provided by the Alliance Academy of Sciences, retired veteran craftsmen from the major Military Factories, rehired technical experts,as well as large quantities of advanced industrial equipment、machine tools and skilled workers,an entire elite team from the Alliance mainland。

Building a Guardian could only be considered practice for fun, however vehicles of this level could currently only be produced slowly in small batches, precision components such as engines still had to be imported from the Alliance mainland。

The later factories would not play around so extravagantly, instead mainly producing early vehicle models。

And the current mainstream vehicle on the Main Continent was actually the Model T...

This was what the Alliance provided through technical assistance to its two Friendly Allied Nations,it was not that they would not give them anything better, but even if they gave it to them they could not manufacture it。

By comparison although the Model T was not particularly good in any respect, its design was simple, and it also made it easier for them to gain practical production experience with vehicles。

To be honest placing the Guardian and Model T together for comparison made them look completely unlike products from the same era(in reality the difference was more than one era),but the Model T was cheap and durable!

From the beginning of the war when Technology Transfer was completed,up until the postwar period preliminary estimates placed the combined Model T production of the three nations at nearly 3 million vehicles,Suriya did not lack oil,the Alliance did not lack production capacity,Ernesto did not lack people, and their strengths stacked together produced this figure。

Actually it could have been even more, but later the main production was all kinds of automobile components,if converted into complete vehicles then total Model T production would have been around 4 million。

Even now the Model T remained the main commuter vehicle within the armies of those two nations, while the Alliance had always used All-terrain Vehicles and Armored Jeeps without changing。

The Guardian was actually one of the bidding proposals for the Alliance’s next-generation Dual-use Military-Civilian Off-road Vehicle。

The greatest advantage of Military-Civilian Dual Use was that the production lines were largely similar, after large-scale mass production began manufacturing costs could be compressed to the greatest extent, which was extremely friendly to the Army’s procurement budget limits。

However at present this matter still had no concrete outcome,Mitia had merely instructed the factory to manufacture a batch of prototype vehicles and deliver them to Alliance officials for data testing, while producing one additional batch for her own use。

Of course, the purpose of coming here was not merely to inspect the Guardian’s production process, more importantly she needed to meet Bratt here。

According to the Alliance’s internal intelligence summaries, after the war Demetria would be divided into at least four mutually independent nations, and the nation that received Gorodno State would without question become one of the major powers of the Main Continent。

Naturally it had to be the Alliance’s most steadfast ally。

Mitia intervening in this was equivalent to giving the Alliance a reassurance pill, the model of mutual cross-shareholding between both sides would spread throughout every aspect of Gorodno State in the future, economically binding it to the Alliance。

However,Suriya’s feelings still needed to be taken into consideration, after all if Gorodno State were separated out as independent。

As Gorodno State grew stronger day by day,it was difficult to say whether the Suriya people who had previously occupied it would harbor resentment。

Suriya Kingdom’s postwar recovery would naturally be the fastest, because they had money, but within the Alliance’s positioning this nation could only have money,it could not possess an overly powerful level of industrial manufacturing。

Whatever you want we can just sell it to you,as for you yourselves there is no need to go through all that exhausting effort developing it,R&D is so tiring~don’t you agree。

Suriya’s troubles were actually fairly large, because the Alliance would broadly eliminate the previous Feudal System, while Suriya’s Royal Family currently still possessed actual power,so this conflicted somewhat with the Alliance’s ideas。

Moreover Suriya’s territorial area could not continue expanding, the territories of the Demetria Church it had occupied would all have to be returned later。

Not only Suriya,Ernesto and the Alliance would also return all occupied Allied Nations territories, shrinking their spheres of influence back to prewar levels,to eliminate the hostility of Allied Nations citizens toward the Alliance to the greatest extent。

And because of this concession of returning occupied land, the greatest irreconcilable point of conflict between the two sides naturally disappeared, also leaving the remaining reactionary Old Forces without any particularly good excuse。

National Salvation Organization?Restoration Alliance?

Are you insane! The land has already been returned to us so what damn nation are you saving or restoring? Are you saying that after we finally became free you still want us to return to the days of Noble Lords riding on our heads?Go ahead and try!

For the Alliance, the benefits of returning the land far outweighed the drawbacks, more land was not necessarily better, especially when the Alliance’s current total population was under 200 million, around 36% of the Alliance’s own territory had not even been developed, and around 50% was incompletely developed, what would it need so much territory on the Main Continent for?

At most it would retain one or two Enclaves that it ‘could not refuse’。

Of course, that also did not mean that after returning the land they would completely cease having any connection with the Alliance。

The Right to Declare War of the newly formed small and medium nations had already been stripped away, and the various small nations split from the main bodies of the defeated nations would likewise possess little authority in military affairs, they would be comprehensively restricted by the Three-Nation Alliance led by the Alliance。

Then as supplementation for this military vacuum, the Three-Nation Alliance would designate several regions within each newly formed nation to establish Military Bases, they would send Army Corps to station there and guarantee national security, while these nations would be responsible for supporting them。

Mitia walked around and stopped here and there to look over the area, and Bratt’s convoy also arrived inside the factory grounds。

After getting out of the vehicle he hurriedly grabbed the guide and rushed toward Mitia’s direction, when he saw Mitia his face instantly erupted with unprecedented joy。

However when he saw the little girl in Mitia’s arms his lips could not help trembling:“My Empress...”

That couldn’t be right? She had only disappeared for how long and her child was already this big...could it be that she staged her death in the first place just to give birth?

But that did not make sense either, wasn’t this child too big?Or was the Empress extraordinarily gifted, and the child she gave birth to was also extraordinarily gifted? She looked big but was actually only one year old?

Mitia strangely glanced at Bratt whose expression management had completely fallen apart and nodded:“Long time no see。”
