I Became a Witch and Started an Industrial Revolution
Chapter 354 ·‘What Do We Do?Make It a Big Deal。’
When everyone passed through the gates of Saint Tia University, they discovered that they had not arrived at the academy grounds that had seemed so close before, instead their vision blurred, and afterward standing before them was a fully armed squad, watching them like hawks。
“No need to be nervous,it’s merely ordinary Mirror Refraction Magic~Just a moment。”
The Saint Tia instructor guiding them,Claudia Simmons, softly reassured the two groups of guests who had become somewhat restless because of this spectacle, then handed the nameplate on her chest to the guard。
The squad leader wearing a fully enclosed fly-head helmet took the nameplate and gave it a cursory glance, then without even turning his head handed it to an iron palm extended beside him。
The Heavy Mecha soldier pressed the nameplate against the inside of its arm, after a while a female voice came from within the Mecha:“Verification passed, welcome to Saint Tia University,we wish you a pleasant journey。”
Only after saying this did it retract the slowly rotating five-barrel Vulcan Cannon at its shoulder, which had been moving silently, back behind it,causing the academy students who had remained stiff the entire time to let out a huge sigh of relief, then with cold sweat covering their heads they quickly walked around the squad guarding the entrance, especially those two burly Mecha soldiers。
Only after putting some distance between themselves and the place did they begin complaining in low voices。
“No,is there something wrong with him!Pointing something that dangerous at us!There wasn’t even the slightest sincerity in welcoming guests。”
“Exactly, what if it accidentally went off?”
‘What do we do?Make it a big deal。’
They were not complete novices who understood nothing, after the Alliance had swept all before it on the battlefield they could learn some approximate battlefield data for the vast majority of its weapons through their families。
For something like that Multi-barrel Vulcan Cannon they had just faced, the Alliance freaking used it against Machine Units and Tanks, against fortifications and even to attack Saint-level Experts, who could have imagined that one day it would be pointed right in their faces。
Judging from the power calculated using the data they had estimated,if that thing had opened fire for just two seconds a moment ago, they probably would all have ended up scattered in pieces everywhere。
Claudia said apologetically:“I sincerely apologize for frightening everyone,Saint Tia gathers the Alliance’s most desperately needed top Medical talents, they generally have no strength to defend themselves,so security is comparatively strict...”
Several instructors from the Royal Academy exchanged glances, but said nothing more。
Actually although this scene had been somewhat astonishing, they quickly accepted it。
After all...if the academy truly possessed a Regular Armed Force as the other party said, then its defensive forces would certainly be abundant beyond belief,so any kind of scene was possible。
They simply had not expected even the most basic squad-level firepower configuration to be so...insane~
After passing through that defensive line they finally truly entered the academy grounds, boarding the school bus that had been waiting for them for quite some time, the group began touring the academy scenery under Claudia’s guidance。
The design style was actually the same as what they had seen outside the school, without much difference, the only difference might be...the place was far too large。
And then there was the fact that the atmosphere among the students inside felt somewhat laid-back。
Unlike the Institute of Science and Engineering that had been their first stop after entering the Alliance,Saint Tia University was a Composite University Cluster with numerous departments under it。
Around half of its grounds were used to provide further advanced studies for outstanding young talents from the local states。
After receiving recommendations from academy deans、Church Godmothers,or local authorities, they could obtain further-study placements, come to Saint Tia University for Targeted Training, and simultaneously undergo assessment and certification。
Food and lodging were completely provided free of charge, there were also generous subsidies, and under the school’s guidance they would travel to various top academies for exchanges and study, and could even enter various systems for observational visits。
After all there were basically few systems that did not lack outstanding Medical talents, even if they temporarily did not lack them they could still build up reserves, the more talented someone was the more preferential treatment they received。
The other half consisted of the outstanding students of that year who had passed successive examinations and assessments to enter, they had to at minimum pass the Senior Nun Certification while at the university before they could successfully graduate and be assigned elsewhere, which usually required around 5-10 years。
Senior Nuns and Priests were parallel positions at the lowest management level within the Church’s four-level Clerical System, above them were Bishops、Archbishops、Deacons。
Although they were only the most basic Clerical Management Personnel,Bishops and Archbishops corresponded to the dean level of small and large Churches。Deacons meanwhile were high-ranking personnel directly subordinate to the Pontiff and Deputy Pontiff, while Senior Nuns and Priests assigned to local Monasteries、Churches were local senior leadership。
As the tour bus stopped, they also arrived at the main campus of Saint Tia Academy, the atmosphere here seemed even more relaxed than in the areas they had passed through before, and from time to time they could see groups of two or three young and beautiful girls walking past。
Their clothing varied, some wore Nun’s Habits that wrapped their entire bodies tightly, while others wore cool short skirts reaching their thighs, and aside from textbooks what they held in their hands were all kinds of dazzling...snacks~?
And besides the students, all kinds of animals also filled their field of vision, the most numerous were cats lying everywhere basking in the sun, along with a group of medium-to-large species they had either seen or never seen before, all lying harmoniously around the academy, with passing girls occasionally petting them。
And,uh,they were all very...plump?
Claudia covered her mouth and coughed softly twice:“Cough cough...these animals had all suffered injuries in the past, the students found ways to treat and heal them after learning how, when they were released they were unwilling to leave so in the end they simply lived at the academy。”
“None of them have any history of harming people,so everyone can rest assured。”
An instructor from the Saint Magic Academy watched the ‘yellow mound’ lying asleep on the lawn not far away move and reveal its huge fat face, the corner of his mouth twitched as he replied:‘I believe you on that...’
He had no choice but to believe it,that leopard-pig so fat its legs could barely be seen could not possibly hurt anyone no matter how one thought about it。
Following that instructor’s gaze Claudia also saw a certain spherical object and defended it:“That cheetah is old so its skin is somewhat loose...”
Seeing the other party shift his gaze toward the coal-black ball struggling beside the central fountain, standing on tiptoe and desperately lowering its head to stretch out its tongue and lick the air,Claudia continued defending it:“The Alliance’s climate is warm so bears don’t need to hibernate,so it’s just a tiny little bit fat。”
As she spoke she extended her fingers and made a gesture that would cause a certain cosmic race to become so enraged they would pursue her across dimensions to kill her:“Just this tiny little bit。”
The other party shifted his gaze again,Claudia still wanted to continue arguing, but after seeing clearly which one he was looking at she also fell silent。
There was no need to explain why a vulture was called a bald vulture right? The problem was that the bald head of the vulture they saw actually had thick downy feathers!Just how overnourished did it have to be for that to happen? If anyone were these animals they would not want to leave either!
In the end Claudia still made a dying struggle:“The academy has already begun helping them lose weight,we’ve now added one fat-reduction meal for them every day。”
‘You’re still adding one?!!!’
