I Became the Villainess, But My Beast Husbands Can Hear My Mind?!
Chapter 380: The Little Mouse Who Became an Expert
In the end, Skiv had no choice but to let Roxanna stitch his wounds.
The whole process was extremely painful. Every time the needle went through his skin, Skiv would either scream or try to pull away. Fortunately, Cyrus was there to hold him firmly and keep him from escaping.
Even though the situation was quite bad, Roxanna still asked the other warriors to continue searching for the materials they needed with Luan. There was no point in making everyone stay and watch when there was still work to be done.
"Alright, just one more," Roxanna said softly.
She carefully finished the last stitch before making sure all the sutures were tied tightly enough. Once she was certain everything was in place, Roxanna took a sharp object and made a small cut on her own arm and blood immediately appeared on her skin.
Without wasting any time, Roxanna let several drops fall around Skiv’s wound. But unfortunately, the rapid healing caused by her blood turned out to be even more painful than the stitches.
"AAAA! I don’t want my hand anymore! I don’t want my hand anymore!" Skiv screamed.
He struggled wildly in Cyrus’ arms and even tried several times to push him away with his uninjured hand. However, Cyrus was much stronger than him, so no matter how hard Skiv struggled, he could not escape.
"No, Skiv. You still want your hand." Roxanna quickly grabbed his arm as well, keeping it still so her blood could heal him properly. "You’ll be fine soon. It’s alright. It’s alright."
Her voice remained gentle even as Skiv continued to whimper in pain. Roxanna kept comforting him with soft, reassuring words, and surprisingly, it seemed to work.
Skiv was still in pain, but at least he tried his best not to struggle as much anymore.
"You’re such a brave boy." Roxanna smiled at him. "And you’re also a smart one. Thanks to you, we finally have strong poisons that can kill demon beasts within seconds."
[With this poison, even the weakest beast in the Vixeria Tribe can protect themselves from beast attacks,] Roxanna thought as she looked at him. [This boy really is such a valuable asset.]
To be honest, Roxanna had never expected much from Skiv when she first met him.
Back then, in her eyes, he was simply a poor little beast who had become a victim of the evil Roxanna. She had never imagined that he would eventually become someone so useful to the entire tribe.
Who would have thought that this little mouse would grow up to become an expert in poison?
Thinking about it now, bringing Aelin to this tribe had definitely been the right decision.
"See? Your wounds have already closed," Roxanna said, finally loosening her grip on his arm.
Skiv, who had kept his eyes tightly closed in the hope that it would make the pain easier to bear, finally dared to open them again.
The first thing he did was look down at his injured arm and saw that his hand was back where it belonged.
Even though he could clearly see that his severed hand had reattached, Skiv still did not dare to move it. He stared at his hand nervously, almost as if he was afraid that one small movement would make it fall off again.
"You’re alright," Roxanna said softly.
She gently took his hand and slowly moved his wrist for him. She bent it one way and then the other, showing Skiv that his hand was working normally again.
"Do you feel anything wrong?" she asked.
Skiv swallowed hard. After hesitating for a moment, he finally gathered enough courage to move his hand on his own. He slowly bent his wrist and moved his fingers, carefully testing each one.
Not long after, he shook his head. "No... I think I’m fine now."
Roxanna immediately let out a relieved sigh. Even though she had trusted the healing power of her blood, she had still been worried that Skiv might lose some movement in his hand after it had been completely severed.
"That’s good." Roxanna gently patted Skiv’s arm before finally letting go of him. "Alright, I think we can go now. Do you still want to come with us, or would you rather go back to the settlement? I can ask Cyrus to take you home."
Skiv looked down at his newly healed hand and thought about it for a moment. After everything that had happened, going home and resting did sound tempting. However, he had come all the way here because he wanted to help, and he did not want to give up so easily.
He slowly shook his head. "I still want to go with you. Is that alright?"
Roxanna smiled warmly at him and reached out to pat his head. "Of course. Let’s see if we can find something interesting in this forest."
She stood up first, while Cyrus helped Skiv get back on his feet. Skiv carefully moved his hand a few more times, still amazed that he could use it normally again, before following them deeper into the forest.
It did not take long for them to find Luan again. He had clearly been busy while they were taking care of Skiv because several woven baskets around him were already filled with different materials they could use to make colors.
Luan glanced at Skiv and immediately noticed his healed hand. "I see that your hand is back," Luan teased him. "Make sure you don’t lose it again."
Skiv immediately pulled his hand closer to his body.
Roxanna gave Luan a sharp look. "Luan, don’t scare him."
"I’m only reminding him," Luan replied, although the small smile on his face made it clear that he was still teasing.
Roxanna ignored him and turned her attention toward the woven baskets instead. Her eyes moved over the different plants and other materials inside them with growing curiosity.
"What do you have here?" she asked.
Luan immediately crouched beside the baskets and began showing Roxanna what they had collected. "We found several plants with strong colors. I don’t know if all of them will work for what you want to make, so I told everyone to bring back anything that looked useful."
