I Break through Crazily
Chapter 373: Lambs to the Slaughter
Two burly mercenaries, both at the Battle Spirit Level, were sent flying with just a casual slap from Tang Yi. They didn’t just fly—they soared into the heavens. Looking at the height they reached, it seemed to be well over a hundred meters.
If they fell from that height…
Everyone stared at this scene, completely dumbfounded.
The members of the Qianxi Mercenary Corps couldn’t help but shiver. The way they looked at Tang Yi completely changed. Even Qiu Wenguang, a Battle King, began to have thoughts of retreat.
He had sent two of his men to deal with Tang Yi precisely to test the waters. Now, seeing how formidable Tang Yi was, how could he possibly dare to provoke him any further?
Besides, Qiu Wenguang had no idea how Tang Yi had pulled off that last strike. He hadn’t sensed the aura of a powerful expert from him at all. Yet with such a casual, ordinary blow, Tang Yi had unleashed immense power. It was simply inconceivable.
Forget the actual strength of Qiu Wenguang’s two subordinates; even if they were just two ordinary people, sending them flying hundreds of meters with a casual wave of the hand was not something an ordinary Martial Artist could achieve.
Even for Qiu Wenguang, a Battle King Level expert, achieving such a feat would require him to use some of his Techniques. Yet, Tang Yi had done it effortlessly.
This shocked Qiu Wenguang to his core. ‘Liuu Tian really wasn’t lying,’ he thought. ‘This man of hers is truly powerful!’
After seeing Tang Yi in action, Qiu Wenguang was certain that Tang Yi’s strength surpassed his own. Therefore, even after seeing two of his subordinates sent flying, their fates still unknown, he didn’t dare cause Tang Yi any trouble. Instead, he swallowed his pride and spoke in a low, subservient tone, “Young man, was there any need for such a heavy hand? You see, this is all a misunderstanding. Truly, a misunderstanding, haha.”
As he spoke, Qiu Wenguang forced a smile, appearing as amicable and as hypocritical as possible. His attitude was a complete reversal from before Tang Yi had acted, as if he were an entirely different person.
“Hmph. Spare me the nonsense about misunderstandings. I don’t have time to waste on you. I’ve already made myself perfectly clear. You have two choices—oh, wait, now it should be three. One: apologize and make reparations. Two: cripple your own hands. Three: a battle to the death! …Alright, I’m giving you one minute. Choose now!” Tang Yi said forcefully.
“But… we can’t choose any of those! The first condition is impossible for us. Other than me, my men don’t have any Earth Tier items. And as for the second and third conditions… we can’t choose those!” Qiu Wenguang said, his face contorted in anguish.
“I’ve given you my conditions. All you have to do is choose. Whether or not you can meet them is your problem. You have fifty seconds left!” Tang Yi replied coldly without even looking at Qiu Wenguang, his tone aggressive and leaving no room for explanation or negotiation.
Of course, Tang Yi didn’t feel he was doing anything wrong. After all, this was exactly how Qiu Wenguang had treated Liuu Tian and the others earlier. He was merely giving them a taste of their own medicine.
“It seems you don’t actually want an apology from us. If you really wanted us to make reparations, why would you propose such an unreasonable condition?” Qiu Wenguang said.
“Think whatever you want. Thirty seconds!” Tang Yi offered no explanation, simply continuing his countdown.
“Are you trying to drive us to our deaths?” Qiu Wenguang demanded again in a low, grim voice, seeing that Tang Yi offered no room for negotiation.
“Haha, you can think of it that way. Ten seconds! If you don’t choose, don’t blame me for being merciless!” Tang Yi said coldly.
“You—!”
Qiu Wenguang wanted to try negotiating further, but the burly mercenaries of the Qianxi Mercenary Corps at his side could no longer hold back.
“Boss, this guy clearly doesn’t want an apology! He’s just looking for trouble. He’s not going to back down no matter what we say. Let’s stop wasting our breath on him!”
“That’s right, Boss, forget him! So what if he’s strong? There are so many of us. Are we really afraid of him? I refuse to believe he can beat all of us at once!”
“I can’t stand his attitude. Who the hell does he think he is? His arrogance is off the charts.”
“Old Fifth and Old Sixth were sent flying by that little bastard, and we still don’t know if they’re dead or alive. We haven’t even settled that score, and he has the nerve to demand an apology and reparations from us? What a joke.”
“Boss, I’ve known Old Fifth for five years and Old Sixth for eight! And just like that, they’re gone… You have to stand up for us! Forget apologizing! Let’s just do this! Either he dies, or we die. I refuse to live in such humiliation!”
“Go for it, Boss! Kill him! Don’t disappoint the brothers!”
“Why apologize? Why make reparations? Let’s just go up there and fight. That’ll solve everything and save us all this trouble!”
“Little bastard, you can stop counting! Your grandpa here chooses the third option! Come on, kill your grandpa!”
“That’s right! We choose option three! Come kill us if you have the guts!”
“Hah, you little bastard! If your grandpa here says a single word of fear today, I’ll write my name backward!”
“…”
Under Tang Yi’s pressure, the burly mercenaries of the Qianxi Mercenary Corps finally erupted. Some even began to complain about Qiu Wenguang’s cautious approach, feeling he was being overly timid.
A few other mercenaries, filled with rage, stepped forward, pointed their weapons at Tang Yi, and began shouting provocations and curses.
“Haha. Fine. You brought this upon yourselves. Since you’ve made your choice, I’ll send you on your way to the heavens!”
“Six Yang Rejuvenation Finger!”
Tang Yi sneered, and with a flick of his wrist, he pointed his finger.
WHOOSH!
Six rays of light shot out with incredible speed. The onlookers saw only a fleeting white flash, and in the next instant, several figures collapsed into pools of blood.
Upon closer inspection, those figures were the very same ones who had stepped forward to provoke and curse Tang Yi, declaring they would choose the third option.
And the third option… was a battle to the death!
They were simply courting death!
The remaining members of the Qianxi Mercenary Corps were completely stunned by this move from Tang Yi.
No one had seen clearly what had just happened. All they had seen were streaks of white light!
The Qianxi Mercenary Corps had arrived with thirteen members. Two had been sent flying by a wave of Tang Yi’s hand, and now six more had been killed by a point of his finger. The battle hadn’t even formally begun, yet eight of them were gone in an instant, leaving only five still standing.
The ones still standing had been cursing fiercely when their numbers were greater, but after seeing Tang Yi annihilate six more of their comrades with a casual point of his finger, they fell silent. Their mouths were clamped shut as they stared at Tang Yi in terror.
Including Qiu Wenguang, the five lonely figures looked especially pathetic, like five lambs for the slaughter, already skinned and just waiting for the blade to fall on their necks.
