Chapter 228: Chapter 199: Tsunami Pool

Many people in the crowd were filming with their phones, their faces filled with anticipation.

Wang Tao and his men were quick. In just ten minutes, all the fences, steel frames, and black tarps had been dismantled.

Everyone’s eyes lit up.

A three-story building, over ten meters tall and covering at least several hundred square meters, rose from the ground, creating a powerful and magnificent visual impact.

"Holy crap, it’s really a hot spring hotel."

"You can always count on Boss Chen to go all out."

The onlooking anglers frantically filmed with their phones, while the surrounding villagers chattered in amazement. Zhang Hui and the others were also stunned, a pleasant surprise mixed with their astonishment.

With its impressive exterior and layout, a restaurant inside would feel like part of a five-star hotel.

"Make some room. Let’s get this path in front paved."

Wang Tao emerged with a dozen or so workers carrying tools like shovels and spades. Some workers pushed wheelbarrows, starting to lay down pebbles.

Other workers drove construction vehicles like trucks and bulldozers off the site.

The entire structure was built with its back to the mountain, leaving about ten meters of space between it and the large pond out front. The building was surrounded by a three-meter-wide marble walkway, and the remaining space was covered in pebbles that stretched all the way to the Old Pond.

It created an instant, seamless connection to the Old Pond, with no sense of dissonance.

"Holy crap, these pebbles are gorgeous."

The onlookers stepped back, marveling at the pebbles being laid.

The pebbles weren’t a single color but a mix of various shades like gray, dark brown, and white. They were also remarkably uniform in size and beautifully shaped.

Some of them even had unique patterns on them, looking like little works of art.

"These look even better than the gravel in my aquarium at home."

Someone picked up a pebble to admire it, growing more astounded the longer they looked.

Pebbles are typically round or oval-shaped, with very smooth surfaces and vibrant colors, which is why they are widely used in landscaping, water features, and interior design.

This breathes new life into the pebbles, transforming them from simple natural elements into objects with artistic qualities that add a harmonious beauty of nature and art to the environment.

However, not all pebbles can exhibit such unparalleled charm. Ordinary pebbles can only be used as building materials, like the very plain ones circling the edge of the Old Pond.

But the ones being laid now were vibrant and unique, with special patterns. Some of the patterns were so lifelike that they could be considered collector’s stones, which were by no means cheap.

Most importantly, this wasn’t a small batch; it covered an area of at least several hundred square meters. There was no way to get so many of these unique stones without some serious connections.

"Boss Chen, if you just leave these lying here, I’m afraid people will have picked them all up in a few days," an angler joked.

The main attractions in this building would be the Hot Spring Paradise and a children’s play area, so there would certainly be plenty of kids visiting who would be absolutely captivated by these beautiful pebbles.

’Heck, forget the kids, even we adults love these pebbles. I’m definitely going to sneak a couple to take home later. They’d look amazing in a flowerpot or a fish tank.’

"Haha, take as many as you like!"

Chen Yuan laughed. He genuinely didn’t care. ’If the customers are picking them up, it means they really like them, and that’s a good thing. It would be a bad sign if no one took any.’

’If people didn’t like the pebbles, he might as well have just paved the path with concrete.’

This was all part of the plan to attract kids and customers.

"Pave this way, too."

Wang Tao directed the workers, who paved a path all the way over to Chen Yuan’s group, meeting the village road that came down the hill.

"Boss Chen, the entrance to the underground parking garage will be right here. I’ll have this turn onto the village road widened a bit to make sure two cars can pass each other with ease."

Once the pebble path was nearly finished, Wang Tao walked back over to Chen Yuan.

"Sounds good. That will make parking much more convenient."

Chen Yuan nodded. ’Widening the village road would certainly be more convenient; at least it would prevent traffic jams. The garage entrance was also well-placed, right where the village road came down.’

"Boss Chen, want to go check out the underground parking garage? We can start the inspection from the bottom and work our way up," Wang Tao suggested with a cigarette in his mouth.

Chen Yuan shook his head. ’There’s not much to see in a parking garage. It’s just a place to park. All I need to know is the number of spaces and how the parking will be managed.’

And this place had plenty of parking spaces.

Wang Tao had built a two-level parking garage with over two hundred spaces. One level was designated for anglers, and the other was for tourists.

If the Hot Spring Paradise and the children’s play area became too popular and the parking spaces proved insufficient, there was room for further expansion. In short, parking wouldn’t be an issue here.

"Alright then, let’s look at the outdoor attractions first."

Wang Tao led Chen Yuan and the others to see the outdoor facilities, starting with the entrance to the parking garage.

Near the entrance was a raised platform with railings on three sides to prevent anyone from climbing over and falling. Looking down from the other side of the platform revealed a pool far larger than the main building itself.

It was bordered by the village road on one side and a fishpond on the other. The side across from them was only a few meters away from the main building, and the last side was pressed right up against the mountainside.

Every bit of usable space had been excavated. By the looks of it, the pool was at least two thousand square meters—several times larger than the small pond and more than a third of the size of the Old Pond.

’How many fishing spots could I set up here?’

Chen Yuan stared at the vast expanse of water, his first instinct to start planning out fishing spots.

’I’m really in too deep with this fishery business,’ he thought. ’My first thought on seeing any body of water is to plan fishing spots and turn it into a fishery.’

"Forget fishing spots. If you run this pool right, it’ll be way more profitable than your fishery," Wang Tao chuckled.

He then began his introduction of the pool.

"This is the Tsunami Pool, one of our star attractions. Because of space limitations, we couldn’t find any more usable area, so it’s only 2,500 square meters, which just barely meets the minimum design requirements for a water park."

Strictly speaking, the standard for a Tsunami Pool is 3,000 square meters. A three-unit vacuum wave-generation system requires that much area; otherwise, if the space is too small and becomes overcrowded, a giant wave can easily lead to accidents.

There have been cases where a Tsunami Pool didn’t have enough safety clearance; when a giant wave hit an overcrowded area, it instantly turned into a disaster scene, injuring dozens of people.

But the available space here was extremely limited—they had even excavated part of the mountainside—so there was simply no way to meet the 3,000-square-meter standard. It did, however, meet the minimum safety requirement.

Moreover, the unit was from the System and could be perfectly adapted to a 2,500-square-meter space.

Safety first.

This was a standard Chen Yuan always abided by, and Wang Tao naturally put safety first as well.

"The generator uses the most advanced vacuum siphon wave technology. It can create continuous 1.5-meter waves, as well as giant waves over 3 meters high. It’s extremely thrilling and perfect for young people."

Chen Yuan nodded to himself.

’I’ve heard of Tsunami Pools before.’

’They weren’t very common at this time, but in the future, most water parks would have a Tsunami Pool; it was considered an essential, crowd-pleasing attraction.’

’Tsunami Pools are spacious, visually spectacular, and incredibly popular. Playing in the waves is an activity that combines family fun, romance, and joy all in one.’

’However, even in the future, while there would be many Tsunami Pools, very few would actually meet the 2,500-square-meter minimum requirement. Strictly speaking, a lot of them couldn’t even be called Tsunami Pools.’

’Those ones aren’t equipped with vacuum generators; they use air blowers to make waves, which means the area is small, the waves are weak, and the experience is underwhelming.’

The Tsunami Pool that Wang Tao built was the real deal. It might just be the largest in all of Chong City, and the first in the truest sense of the word.

’I’m confident this Tsunami Pool alone will be enough to attract a huge number of tourists.’

"The Tsunami Pool is equipped with two separate water systems: one for regular-temperature water and one for hot spring water. As far as I know, this should be the first-ever hot spring Tsunami Pool."

’That’s an excellent selling point,’ Chen Yuan thought.

’A hot spring Tsunami Pool... even in the future, those are rare. After all, building a Tsunami Pool costs hundreds of thousands, and adding a separate water system on top makes the cost enormous.’

"The water treatment system uses 24-hour circulation and filtration, so the water quality is guaranteed to be clear. And the water source isn’t limited to the Old Pond—we also have an underground water extraction system."

’Damn, that’s impressive.’

Hearing Wang Tao’s explanation, the surrounding villagers and anglers were thoroughly impressed. To the villagers in particular, all this talk of different "systems" sounded incredibly high-tech and sophisticated.
