Chapter 551 - 331: A Clumsy Yu Fei
Chapter 551: Chapter 331: A Clumsy Yu Fei
The priority now was to get Senior Sister and the others to safety.
According to the information left behind by Cheng Yu, this intersecting domain was created by Cheng Shi at the moment of his death. The combination of his spatial abilities and Magic resulted in this natural spectacle. The spatial properties at the edge of every fragmented realm were in constant flux, forming a vast spatial labyrinth.
Before, Yu Fei could teleport himself, but he couldn’t bring anyone along.
However, with the star chart Cheng Yu had left him, he now had the ability to control the teleportation points at the boundaries.
This star chart wasn’t merely a guide. It was more like a credential, granting him extremely high-level permissions within the Magic of the Creation Scroll: Eternal Concealment Curtain.
"Senior Sister, let’s go. We need to find Master and the others!"
Zhuo Feiming composed herself, the look of confusion and resentment vanishing from her face.
Because of Owlys, her path to becoming a Martial Saint had been severed. For a genius like her to have her advancement brutally cut off during the prime of her life—the best years for a Martial Artist to grow stronger—was an immense cruelty.
Just like Ye Shuping, whose strength had been locked in place from his youth to his old age, with no room for advancement. The despair must have been unimaginable.
"Yu Fei, are you sure you can do this?"
"Don’t worry, Senior Sister! Follow me."
Yu Fei led the way, heading east.
The place looked boundless, the world vast and open, but in reality, this fragmented plane was small, only about five kilometers in diameter.
Through Yu Fei’s senses, he could tell the invisible boundary was divided into six segments. He walked toward a random one.
He needed the power of the star chart to change the teleportation destination; nothing else would do.
Zhuo Feiming followed behind Yu Fei, her beautiful eyes shimmering. ’My junior brother is a true prodigy,’ she mused. ’He must have some great secret. His personality is stubborn, though—he responds to kindness, not force. When it comes to people, he values sincerity over personal gain.’
’Yu Fei didn’t have the ability to alter the teleportation points in the Mysterious Realm before, but now he can suddenly control the destination. Something must have happened during that massive upheaval at the Ruins of Xuyuan.’
’Earlier, Yu Fei was whisked away, and the four of us were attacked. The power the ruins displayed was clearly of the Spatial Attribute, and Yu Fei also possesses the Spatial Attribute...’
When they met again, she could tell Yu Fei had something heavy on his mind, yet he also seemed to have reached some profound understanding.
Sunlight spilled across Yu Fei’s face. Despite his youthful features, his brows were slightly furrowed. Ripples of light spread from his long fingers, where mysterious runes seemed to form and fade in an instant.
Before long, Yu Fei called out to Zhuo Feiming.
"Let’s go, Senior Sister. If I’m right, we’re about to see Master."
’Ye Shuping is carrying the most beacons,’ Yu Fei thought. ’In my senses, a large number of them are overlapping in one spot. That has to be him.’
They stepped through one after the other, leaving the vast, snowy plains and arriving on a mountaintop vibrant with the colors of autumn.
Since Yu Fei hadn’t teleported directly to the beacons this time, he couldn’t pinpoint Ye Shuping’s location immediately.
"He must be to the west!"
Sensing the beacons’ location, Yu Fei launched a burst of Sword Qi and teleported into the air.
Zhuo Feiming followed close behind. This domain was relatively large, its boundaries stretching for thousands of kilometers.
Yu Fei surmised that the Mysterious Realm must have once been a single, coherent ecosystem. However, Cheng Shi had overlaid an invisible, ever-changing maze, partitioning the world into "cells" of varying sizes. These cells didn’t block rain or sunlight and had little effect on plants. But they affected every animal that tried to cross from one to another.
That also explained why Yu Fei hadn’t seen any large animals.
"What’s that?"
From a distance, Yu Fei saw dark clouds churning on the horizon, and the world’s energy was roiling violently.
A worried look crossed Zhuo Feiming’s face. She reached out, stopping Yu Fei from advancing. Her voice held an unconcealable tremor, a mix of nervousness and anticipation.
"That’s Master... Master... is attempting a breakthrough."
"This..."
Yu Fei couldn’t help but worry. He knew that Owlys had tampered with the world’s primordial energy, tainting the souls of all Martial Artists at the Grandmaster level and above, and placing a shackle on their cultivation.
’Could Ye Shuping actually break through?’
Yu Fei felt a flicker of hope. If his master could break through Owlys’s seal, it would prove the Matriarch wasn’t in peak condition.
Suddenly, the storm halted. It wasn’t that the winds had calmed, but rather that the entire weather phenomenon had been seized by an absolute power, frozen in place.
A chill ran through Yu Fei’s heart, and a powerful sense of crisis made his scalp tingle. With a grave expression, Zhuo Feiming silently pulled him back a hundred li.
The entire world seemed to be suppressed by Ye Shuping’s fist intent.
After about an hour of this, a bolt of lightning tore across the sky. As dragon-like arcs of electricity rained down, Yu Fei saw a figure plummet from the heavens, a spray of blood painting the air.
As the distant, colossal figure fell, Yu Fei’s heart went cold.
’He failed...’
Zhuo Feiming transformed into a streak of fire, rushing toward Ye Shuping. With a single, deft step, Yu Fei teleported and arrived at his master’s side an instant before her.
The old man’s aura was faint and his face was deathly pale, but his eyes blazed with a monstrous killing intent.
"Master, are you okay?"
"Master, take this medicine first, stabilize your injuries!"
Zhuo Feiming took out a large, jade-colored pill. Just by smelling its aroma, Yu Fei felt his own Qi Blood begin to circulate thirty percent faster.
Ye Shuping didn’t stand on ceremony. He took the jade-colored pill, which was about the size of a chicken’s egg, and swallowed it in one gulp. The old man had a hearty appetite, not even bothering to chew as he gulped it down whole.
Moments later, his pale complexion improved, and a bit of color returned to his face.
Ye Shuping, now clear-headed, wore a solemn expression. His very first words shocked Zhuo Feiming to her core.
"There’s something wrong with the path. I think I’ve found the reason none of us can break through!"
