Chapter 677: Chapter 420: Earn More Points, Zhou Tian Star Eyes! (Part 2)

The voice was mixed with clear human speech, filled with endless malice and grief.

"I’ll kill you all! I gave everything for the Empire... You beasts, why did you frame my son! You embezzled the Empire’s resources, and you’ll die a terrible death!"

The monster’s form was extremely horrific, shrouded in a sinister blood-red mist, its right arm shriveled and short, while the left was grotesquely elongated and terrifying.

Half of its head still retained human contours, while the other half was covered with continuously bubbling blood blisters.

Its legs had mutated into four backward jointed limbs, and a long, sharp tail lashed wildly behind it.

The most horrifying of all was that on its gigantic left claw were impaled several people wearing nobles’ robes adorned with sun, moon, and stars, like candied hawthorns on a stick.

It was stuffing one of them into its half-human mouth, chewing eagerly.

Gradually, a smile mixed with extreme pain and mad pleasure emerged on the half-human face.

"Somebody, help! Save us—!"

"This monster... it killed Baron Xibot! It took so many people..."

The remaining people let out a piercing cry for help, their voices suffused with collapse and despair.

The manor’s guards wielded heavy weapons, pouring gunfire bravely upon the twisted monster, trying to halt its steps with dazzling beams of bullets woven like a net.

Yet, though the monster seemed bloated and misshapen, its speed was incredibly fast, its form a blood-red blur.

In the blink of an eye, it surged into the crowd, slashing with claws and whipping its long tail like a whip, shredding the gun-holding guards to pieces.

Some were even snatched up directly, having their heads bitten off and swallowed whole, a scene of extreme bloodshed.

By this point in the fierce battle, the monster wasn’t completely unscathed.

Several large, gaping wounds were spread across its massive body, evidence of powerful gunfire forced upon it.

But the most despairing part was that the flesh around those wounds was squirming and growing together at a speed visible to the naked eye.

At this rate, if given a moment to breathe, these serious injuries could quickly heal—this was the terrifying vitality and regenerative ability of the Crimson Faller, far beyond human imagination.

"Damn it! Why hasn’t that useless army arrived yet! I must file a complaint with the City Lord’s estate and drag all of them to military court! The Xibot family’s losses must be compensated with their lives!"

A young man, dressed in a luxurious sun and moon robe, curled up amidst the chaotic crowd, his body trembling incessantly with fear.

Yet, inwardly, he continued furiously cursing the delayed reinforcements, imagining the revenge and claims he would pursue afterward.

The next second, the crimson monster seemed to smell the hatred within the bloodline.

It suddenly flung aside the bodyguards entangling it, its scarlet singular eye locked onto the young man, surging forward with overwhelming malice!

The crowd, driven by the instinct to survive, scattered in a rush, leaving the still-cursing young man exposed alone in the open ground.

The anger on his face instantly froze, transforming into extreme terror, and before he could react, a cavernous mouth descended with a bloody wind.

The weak, starlit power belonging to the Awakening Realm within the young man’s body couldn’t even stir a ripple before this absolute power.

Before his consciousness completely slipped into darkness, the last image the young man saw was the terrifying satisfaction and delight on the monster’s half-elderly face.

"Crunch—!"

With a tooth-grinding bone-crack sound, his entire body was bitten clean through.

The monster chewed on the bones, relishing the pathological satisfaction brought by the flesh and blood.

Yet it hadn’t laughed long when its half-human face suddenly froze, showing an extremely human-like daze.

Subsequently, the crimson monster’s head twisted sharply in a biomechanically improbable way, rotating one hundred and eighty degrees to look precisely towards the sky above the manor—

A silhouette stood motionless in the void, at an uncertain moment.

The exquisitely refined gold and white robe adorned with the sun and moon swayed in the fierce wind, Lu Xuan nonchalantly holding the still-terrified base commander with his left hand, his right hand calmly behind him.

His deep gaze was serenely overlooking the inferno below.

Everywhere his gaze reached, corpses lay scattered, the crimson blood having stained the luxurious tiled floor a dark red.

Broken limbs and scattered human organs littered everywhere, the air dense with an overwhelming stench of blood enough to induce nausea.

The red singular eye on that half-elderly face first flashed with ultimate horror.

It recognized those robes, which were symbols of the Solar and Lunar Court, worn only by full and deputy commanders of the ten guard regiments and top-tier experts above the Fiery Sun Realm!

There was simply no reason for such a top-tier expert to exist in Tebike City, apart from the City Lord!

But after the initial shock, twisted, vindicated freedom and pleasure surged into the remaining heart of the crimson monster.

From an ordinary person who had achieved greater potential in the Starlight Realm, it had, by the miracle of its descent into crimson, acquired powers of the Bright Moon Realm and barely preserved a thread of vengeance-driven consciousness, unmistakably the final gift of fate.

It relished that before everything ended, it had already slaughtered all its enemies, especially the chief culprit—Baron Xibot, whom it personally tore apart and devoured.

Anyway, the crimson monster had long foreseen its eventual extermination but hadn’t anticipated that such a lofty figure would be the one to bring about its end.
