I Can Devour Monsters' SSS Talents
Chapter 550: Moon Manifestation
Lian moved one step to the left without thinking, his natural speed was so fast that it was unlikely this girl could follow him with her eyes.
Whoosh!
But suddenly, something passed through the space where his neck had been a moment ago.
He turned his gaze back for a fraction of a second, a semi-transparent silver blade had passed beside his head for a moment.
But from what he could see, the girl had not even had time to move her sword from where it was, so where had this attack suddenly come from?
Lian looked at Seris again, the only change was that the crescent behind her had become slightly larger.
And he understood what had happened, some of her attacks could leave an echo behind and activate at exactly the moment he dodged the main attack.
Was this related to her class itself, or was it just a skill?
"This one was better."
"I haven’t even started yet."
Then the sword moved three times, and three silver crescents separated from the blade.
The first went straight, the second went higher, and the third went to the right.
Lian saw their movements.
He caught the first one with his hand easily and threw it away.
Clang!
The second crescent came down from above, he moved half a step to the side and its edge passed beside his shoulder and created a deep cut on the stone floor.
The third was passing beside him, but suddenly bent in the middle of its path.
Young Vorhelm’s eyes narrowed, the crescent turned back at an unnatural angle and attacked his side.
He made his hand into a fist and faced the attack directly, and as a result, the crescent broke.
"Hm?" But before he could lower his guard, a sound came from behind him.
The first crescent, the one Lian had thought he had knocked away with the attack, had turned in the air and come back again.
His left forearm was covered by a thick layer of ice, and the crescent hit it.
Crack!
The ice on his forearm cracked, but the silver blade was knocked away and hit the ground, silver particles spreading through the air.
He looked at them.
To his complete surprise, the particles did not disappear, they returned toward Seris, or more precisely, toward the crescent behind her, and the crescent grew a little more.
Lian slowly breathed out, now the picture was clearer.
Seris’s class had not only made her sword stronger, it could create a field, and every attack could produce a separate blade.
The blades were not completely out of control after being released.
She could change their paths.
Some attacks could also repeat later as echoes, and even when a blade was destroyed, part of its Mana returned to that moon.
The longer the battle continued, the more complete the crescent became.
Lian kept his eyes on the silver shape behind Seris, what would happen if that moon became complete? If his guess was correct, that thing was an Innate Skill related to her class.
He could feel that as the battle continued and the crescent became stronger, she was becoming stronger and stronger.
He doubted that any person her age except himself could defeat this girl, and her first Evolution had made her even more dangerous.
Seris did not give him time to think more, and the next attack had already started.
This time, Lian did not only defend.
He saw her first step, the attack came from above and toward him, he raised his right hand, but before they could collide, this time she broke her own angle.
His fist passed under Seris’s sword and came toward her shoulder, his speed was so fast that his opponent had no chance to react.
His fist hit her shoulder and completely broke the girl’s balance, but with the help of her body structure, which had a very high ability to adapt, she managed to move herself to the side.
But Lian did not care and moved forward,
Seris noticed it at that moment, and a crescent separated from behind her and came down between the two of them to create distance between them.
That crescent turned into two silver blades and targeted him from both sides.
Young Vorhelm broke one and easily passed through the second, at the same moment, the echo of one of the previous attacks activated from behind.
He lowered his body, and the sound of the air being cut passed over his head.
Seris entered from the front at exactly that moment and attacked with her own sword.
Now Lian was being attacked from three angles, a new crescent coming toward him from the right, an echo attacking from behind, and now the girl’s own attack.
He was being attacked from three directions by one person at the same time.
Lian gave a faint smile, this was the true power of her class.
Forcing the opponent to fight against different times of an attack and angles that could even change after being released.
For someone with normal perception, it was a nightmare, the problem was that the attacks were also extremely fast, and a normal Awakened or monster could not adapt to them at all.
But Lian’s instincts and perception were among the strongest of all Awakened who had passed their first Evolution, and dealing with this situation was not difficult for him.
Lian’s fist hit Seris’s sword and at the same time, his foot hit the ground.
Ice came out from under the floor, and three short pillars rose at different angles.
The crescent on the right was forced to change its path, and the echo from behind hit one of the pillars.
She pulled her sword free and moved backward.
But he did not let her create the distance completely this time and took a step forward.
Seris released two more crescents so she could put more pressure on him.
But Lian easily passed between them, one passed beside his neck and the second passed near his knee.
For the first time, she was forced to move completely defensively, repeated fists came toward her one after another, and she could barely deflect or stop them.
She pressed her teeth together slightly, every fist put a huge amount of pressure on her, and from the grin on Lian’s face, she could guess that this was not even all of his power.
And worse, he had just used the new ability from his Evolution, but this boy? Nothing, he had still not shown or used anything from his Evolution.
She took a breath, and right there, the crescent behind her shone more brightly.
Almost half of a full moon had been completed, and at the same time, six different crescents appeared around the girl.
Lian slowed his step, and Seris raised her sword, she said nothing, and the six crescents moved at the same time.
From above.
Below.
Behind.
From both sides.
One directly.
He saw all the paths in one moment, but this time, it was not only the crescents, the girl herself came as well.
Simply put, seven attacks from seven angles were attacking him at the same time.
He punched and broke the first one, bent down and passed under the second, and the third was deflected by an ice pillar.
The fourth changed its path in the middle of its movement, and Lian had to dodge at the exact moment.
And this was what Seris wanted.
The real sword came toward his shoulder from a very close distance, he defended in time, and caught the girl’s sword with his hand.
But a silver layer on the blade lit up, and suddenly, a very special power began to spread from it and attack Lian.
Clack!
Seris pushed and tried to completely disable his hand, if she could make one of his fists unusable, she would gain a huge advantage in the battle.
But Lian only gave her sword a short look, it was time for him to show this girl a little of his own Evolution too.
Eclipse Core.
A very small amount of Eclipse energy came out of the core, and black energy moved along the fingers of his left hand.
Young Pendragon saw it, and for a moment, her eyes stopped on his hand.
One of the silver crescents attacked from the left, but instead of dodging, Lian raised his hand, and the Eclipse energy touched the surface of the crescent.
There was no explosion, and the crescent simply...collapsed.
The silver light at the point of contact turned black.
Dark cracks spread through the entire Mana structure, and in less than a moment, the blade that until then could cut through anything turned into pieces of unstable light.
Seris’s expression changed, she did not know what this was, but even seeing it gave her a bad feeling, and what she had seen was clear.
That energy had not broken her crescent with greater power, it had broken its structure apart.
So this was part of this man’s Evolution?
