Chapter 71: Chapter 71: Don’t Come Over!

New monsters appeared one after another.

Everyone was starting to grow numb to it.

The camera decisively zoomed in on Shen Yun; the whole world was watching him. His expression remained entirely placid. This allowed the viewers to breathe a sigh of relief, but in reality...

Shen Yun was actually a little panicked. Even with his level of strength, he could clearly sense the formidable power of this Ancient Dragon. It was completely on a different level compared to the previous monsters.

"Master, this monster is far from simple," Little Nine exclaimed in awe. "The inner wall of every single bone is densely carved with Arrays. Its core is in the head, which is also where its defenses are the most absurd. A Super Electromagnetic Cannon might not be able to break through it. But most importantly... there’s no moisture and no metal. Lightning is completely ineffective. Master, what should we do?"

Hearing Little Nine say this, Shen Yun actually felt relieved. If they truly couldn’t win, Little Nine would have grabbed him and fled by now.

"Do whatever you see fit," Shen Yun replied calmly.

"As expected of you, Master!" Little Nine was filled with an inexplicable sense of worship, but suddenly she began to giggle. "That idiot actually dared to bring out a trump card kept so close to him, directly exposing the location of his main body. Master, Little Nine has already caught this little mouse."

Shen Yun’s eyes lit up.

Meanwhile, completely oblivious to his impending doom, Ludwig grew increasingly smug. He reveled in the Bone Dragon’s power, intoxicated by the sheer pleasure of instilling fear into others.

His voice became even more arrogant.

"Hahaha! Why aren’t you attacking? Try using your lightning! So what if you’re a Great Saint? If you want to hate something, hate the fact that you belong to the Thunder Series! All lightning attacks are completely useless against my precious baby!"

This was exactly why he dared to show up. If Shen Yun wasn’t a Thunder Series Golden Core cultivator, Ludwig would never have revealed himself even if Annie died. After all, even if a Great Saint couldn’t catch him, he couldn’t do anything to a Great Saint either!

But his trump card was the Bone Dragon! This was a realm that surpassed the Golden Core. It was a masterpiece of the Demon King! Even if it was incomplete and his experiment hadn’t fully succeeded yet, this Bone Dragon could still crush a Thunder Series Great Saint. Simply because it was the perfect counter!

"Once I capture you, there will be no one left in this world who can resist me! I am the Demon King of this world!" Ludwig had already plunged into uncontrollable, delusional fantasies.

Hearing these words, the hearts of everyone watching their televisions clenched tightly once again.

"This is disastrous," the host said, shrinking back into the helicopter and speaking to the camera with difficulty. "We all know that dry bones don’t conduct electricity. Can Perfected Thunder defeat such a colossal monster!? This is a moment of life and death for all of humanity!"

To call it a moment of life and death was no exaggeration. After all, a monster of this sheer size could somehow appear and disappear in the blink of an eye. Such terrifying mobility alone would leave the military utterly helpless as it ceaselessly devastated cities.

At that moment, Shen Yun, the man regarded as humanity’s only hope, finally reacted.

"It seems this is your final trump card." Shen Yun clasped his hands behind his back. "In that case, I’ll show you some of my real skills."

"Hehehe, fool!" Ludwig let out another chilling laugh.

The Bone Dragon suddenly stomped heavily onto the ground. With a speed and agility that completely defied its massive frame, it charged ferociously at Shen Yun. The earth shook and the mountains trembled, causing everyone’s hearts to leap into their throats.

Yet Shen Yun merely reached out his hand, and lightning crashed down like a roaring waterfall once more.

It completely blanketed him, the Bone Dragon, and the black mist. The blinding light made it nearly impossible for the camera to capture what was happening inside. Only a blurry silhouette of Shen Yun could be seen rushing headlong toward the Bone Dragon!

"Hahaha! I told you it’s useless! No lightning attack can harm a single inch of my precious baby!" Ludwig’s voice remained incredibly smug.

"Is that so?" Shen Yun’s placid voice drifted out.

"AH—! How is this possible?!" Ludwig suddenly let out a terrified shriek. "No, this is impossible! Don’t come closer! Please, stay away!"

"This is only the beginning," Shen Yun laughed heartily.

"No! Don’t! I don’t want this!" Ludwig’s piercing screams sounded exactly like a young girl being forced against her will.

The audience in front of their televisions exchanged bewildered glances. Staring at their screens with a mix of nervous tension and surging excitement, they couldn’t see a single thing happening inside the glare. However, they could clearly hear Ludwig’s successive shrieks of agony and Shen Yun’s roaring laughter.

In reality, Shen Yun had simply barged in and dashed toward Ludwig’s main body at top speed.

It was a groundhog hiding underground. That’s right. Going by outward appearances alone, it was nothing more than a plump groundhog. However, hidden within this groundhog’s body was a pitch-black crystal—that was Ludwig’s true form.

He had long since abandoned his human body. It was precisely by relying on this Black Mage Secret Technique that he had managed to evade the pursuit of the experts from the Realm of All Saints time and time again.

But unfortunately for him, he had run into Little Nine this time.

"Caught you," Shen Yun murmured softly. He directly knocked the creature out with a jolt of electricity, prompting one final, high-pitched scream that gradually faded into silence.

He then tossed it into his Tripod Cauldron and sealed it away. The entire process was so simple that even he found it somewhat unbelievable.

"Even if he hadn’t summoned the Bone Dragon, Little Nine was just about to find him anyway," Little Nine said proudly. "Trying to play hide-and-seek in front of Little Nine is simply far too naive."

"Mhm, my Little Nine is amazing as always." Shen Yun offered a word of praise, then listened with deep satisfaction to Little Nine’s affectionate whines.

As for that Bone Dragon, having lost its controller, it automatically shrank down and reverted back into a crystal, which Shen Yun promptly picked up.

The thunder weakened, the dark clouds scattered, and the silvery-white moonlight illuminated the earth once more.

The moment Shen Yun reappeared on camera, the entire world seemed to erupt in cheers.

"Right now, I desperately want to know what exactly happened in there! Because the enemy’s wails of agony sounded absolutely like music to my ears!" The host was flushed red and practically hysterical. "However, I must say that Perfected Thunder is the victor! He is our savior! He is humanity’s most powerful Guardian!"

This battle had been fraught with twists and turns, violently tugging at everyone’s heartstrings. But now, all that remained in their minds was the sheer might of Shen Yun.

The camera focused entirely on Shen Yun as the helicopter approached him. They wanted to interview the victor.

However, Shen Yun’s very first sentence was: "I am deeply sorry."

His entire body was still wreathed in crackling lightning. With his back turned to the camera, his expression couldn’t be seen, but his voice seemed to overflow with helplessness. "That guy held back one final trick at the very end. He turned into a cloud of black mist and burrowed deep underground, disappearing completely. I believe... he is a Wizard from the Ancient Times who was sealed away within a legacy. At the peak of his strength, he might have been far beyond the realm of the Golden Core."

That’s right. He was openly bluffing right now.

He hadn’t even fought for his own benefits yet, nor had he found the Bronze Hall. How could he just let things end so simply?

Even the voice currently speaking was a flawless imitation produced by Little Nine. Even if someone used the most sophisticated instruments to conduct a massive data analysis, they would only come to a single conclusion—Shen Yun was telling the absolute truth.
