Chapter 79: Chapter 79: Heading to the New World

When Vierlia came over, Shen Yundu’s eyes couldn’t help but light up.

A snow-white dress adorned with ribbons wrapped around her slender figure, topped with a fitted blue jacket. Carrying a small leather suitcase, she looked elegant yet approachable.

"Isn’t it pretty?"

Vierlia shyly tucked a strand of long hair behind her ear, but then she confidently twirled around. Her skirt fluttered, revealing brown over-the-knee boots underneath.

"You really are exceptionally beautiful," Shen Yun said, giving her a thumbs-up.

"Thank you for the compliment." Vierlia cast a smiling glance at Little Nine, who was standing beside Shen Yun. Naturally, she wouldn’t ask such a low-class question as whether she or Little Nine was prettier.

Carrying her small leather suitcase, she walked past Shen Yun and entered the house, curiously sizing up her surroundings.

"It’s pretty simple, but I’ve lived in this house for over twenty years," Shen Yun said as he followed her inside.

"It’s completely filled with your scent..." Vierlia sniffed the air. "And Little Nine’s."

Shen Yun felt a bit awkward.

However, Vierlia didn’t mind at all. She set down her suitcase, stretched her body, and rolled up her sleeves, revealing forearms with skin as smooth as white jade.

"Dinner will be ready soon. Just entertain yourselves for a moment while you wait," she said. Without needing anyone to guide her, she walked straight into the kitchen.

Shen Yun and Little Nine looked at each other, their eyes wide.

"Did she not see the dishes on the table?" Shen Yun asked uncertainly, pursing his lips.

"It’s on purpose! She did it on purpose!" Little Nine said, feeling incredibly wronged. She had gone out of her way to prepare a table full of delicacies before Vierlia arrived. Now, it seemed that the ultimate happiness of cooking for her master was truly about to be stolen away.

"It’s okay. We eat a lot anyway," Shen Yun comforted her, cupping Little Nine’s face in his hands.

In the end, the dinner Vierlia made consisted of meat from the Otherworld, paired with her specially crafted sauce. Not only was it delicious, but to Shen Yun’s surprise, the balance of salty, sour, and spicy perfectly suited his tastes. It was so good he couldn’t stop eating!

"I’ve figured out your preferences," Vierlia said, her face full of smiles as she watched Shen Yun chewing heartily. Then, she suddenly looked at Little Nine. "Don’t be discouraged, Little Nine. I will teach you the method of using Spiritual Power to make gourmet food. Learning culinary skills for your master is also part of a maid’s duty, right?"

Little Nine’s eyes lit up, and she raised her small fists. "Little Nine won’t admit defeat!"

Meanwhile, the corners of Vierlia’s lips curled up slightly, her smile speaking volumes. She was already starting to enjoy this engagement.

As for Shen Yun, he wished he could grow two extra mouths right now. He had no time to speak at all.

After dinner, Vierlia made some tea and beverages. She sat across from Shen Yun on the sofa, leisurely chatting about all sorts of topics, including what she had seen and heard over the past half-month, her past, and her country. Shen Yun mostly listened, occasionally chiming in with a sentence or two. After finishing the chores, Little Nine grabbed Shen Yun’s hand and lay beside him, narrowing her eyes as she enjoyed her master’s scent like a lazy cat.

Shen Yun suddenly felt a sense of domestic sweetness. This was what life was all about.

Late into the night, they prepared to rest.

Vierlia’s room was right across from Shen Yun’s. She stood prettily at her doorway, looking at him with a mix of nervousness and shyness.

"I don’t know if you’ve fallen for me, but I’m trying my best to like you. So... I won’t lock the door."

Her final few words were as soft as a mosquito’s buzz; if Shen Yun wasn’t a Cultivator, he might not have heard them at all. But looking at the beautiful queen at this moment, Shen Yun could only offer a faint smile before returning to his own room with a trace of melancholy.

Waiting inside his room was Little Nine, already scrubbed clean. He truly was a sinful man. Therefore, he had to cherish this happiness properly.

Just like that, his cohabitation with Vierlia and Little Nine began. It left Shen Yun feeling light as a feather, body and soul. It was as if he had returned to the early days when he was first with Little Nine; he often dreamed of the past, unable to distinguish which side was the dream and which was reality. However, this period didn’t last too long.

No matter how untouchable a goddess might seem, she would inevitably become real after living together for a while. Not to mention, Little Nine, with whom he could now freely be intimate, was not the slightest bit inferior to Vierlia.

Just two weeks later, Shen Yun completely regained his composure. Only when he occasionally met Vierlia’s resentful and unwilling gaze did he feel a slight twinge of guilt.

It was all about strength. Even with his rapid cultivation speed, he estimated it would still take about a year to break through to the Golden Core Stage. Only then would he no longer need to keep his distance from Vierlia.

Tsk, tsk. Stringing her along like this really made him seem like a scumbag. Shen Yun felt guilty for exactly three minutes before deciding to do something about it.

"Vierlia, I think it’s about time," Shen Yun said to her at the breakfast table. "Today, I will go with you to your world. As agreed, we will announce our marriage to your New World."

He was now ready to bestow Enlightenment upon a tank at any moment!

Vierlia’s body trembled slightly, her beautiful azure eyes looking at Shen Yun in surprise.

"What’s with that expression? Did you think I was going to back out?" Shen Yun asked helplessly.

"No, I never thought that. It’s just..." Vierlia rested her chin on the backs of her crossed hands on the table, staring straight at Shen Yun. In a clear voice, she said, "Sometimes, I feel like you might really hate me, but at other times, I feel like you still like me quite a bit. Say, Shen Yun, are you playing hard to get to string me along? Do you want to completely conquer me and hold my entire body and soul in the palm of your hand?"

Cold sweat gathered on Shen Yun’s forehead. Spending a long time together had its downsides; it would be strange if she hadn’t caught on to anything.

"Well, if you’re into that, I don’t really mind this little game of romance," Vierlia said, letting out a string of giggles. She lightly pressed a hand to her left breast. The feeling of pleasant surprise that had just welled up inside her truly wasn’t bad at all.

"COUGH, COUGH," Shen Yun coughed lightly in embarrassment. "Anyway, this time it will just be me taking Little Nine and going with you. The Demon King hasn’t made a move for so long, so even if there is any real danger, we control the Bronze Hall and should be able to evacuate in time."

"Alright," Vierlia nodded slightly, continuing to stare straight at Shen Yun.

Beside them, Little Nine couldn’t help but cover her mouth and snicker. This queen was clearly on the verge of falling completely.

After breakfast.

Shen Yun stored Little Nine inside the Tripod Cauldron, then kept it on his person in its smartphone form. Then, along with Vierlia, he arrived at the location of the second Bronze Hall. His heart was brimming with anticipation. He wondered, "What kind of companion will an outwardly imposing and rugged tank turn out to be?"
