I Can Enlighten Everything
Chapter 92: Half-Step Void God!
Chapter 92: Chapter 92: Half-Step Void God!
Shen Yun breathed a sigh of relief. He had almost thought Vierlia was going to say something like they should get married when he returned triumphant.
Still, this feeling of being cared for was truly nice.
Shen Yun subconsciously reached up, lightly brushing his fingers against his moistened lips. He sniffed his fingers. He thought, "I just finished eating, yet there’s not a hint of food on them."
This action caused Vierlia, who was standing right in front of him, to instantly flush red all over. It wasn’t just her face; even the skin on her body was tinted with a faint rosy hue. If she weren’t a queen, she would have definitely turned and fled in embarrassment by now.
"Uh, haha, hahaha," Shen Yun laughed awkwardly, only just realizing how indecent his gesture must have looked.
He quickly swapped it for a relaxed expression. "While I’m not here, you need to pay attention to your own safety."
"Mm." Vierlia’s head was completely lowered, and even her voice trembled. Her home-field advantage had completely vanished.
Sure enough, whoever had the thicker skin held the upper hand.
"Well then, I’m off." Before leaving, Shen Yun hesitated for a moment, but still couldn’t resist reaching out to gently graze the back of his hand against Vierlia’s cheek. Then, his figure abruptly retreated as he shot straight into the clouds.
He thought, "Flirting one last time and running away is quite the thrill."
Little Jie had also taken flight from nearby and caught up to him. Taking the initiative to attack was something he had decided on a few days ago; today was merely about informing Vierlia.
Hovering high in the sky, he took one last look down and tucked away his emotions. He prepared for battle. No feelings allowed.
"Master, it seems Her Majesty the Queen has very mild tastes when it comes to intimacy. Little Nine knows super many ways to play," Little Nine said, suppressing a giggle.
"No... please don’t say anymore," Shen Yun said, feeling his combat mindset slipping away. He just wanted to hurry up and break through to the Golden Core stage.
Fortunately, Little Jie caught up at that moment. Looking at his large, bald head, Shen Yun’s slightly restless heart instantly settled.
"I wonder who is stronger now between you and Little Nine," Shen Yun suddenly asked out of curiosity.
"I think it should be Little Nine," Little Jie replied earnestly after pondering for a moment.
"Oh?" Shen Yun was a bit surprised.
"If it were two days ago, I would definitely be stronger. After all, I am a weapon." Little Jie didn’t yet know how to flatter his senior and was simply telling the truth. "However, Little Nine is already a true Half-Step Void God. As long as the distance is pulled to over a thousand meters, I would only be able to take a beating passively."
Just yesterday, Little Nine had completely digested the previous few Thunder Series Enlightenment Jade Scrolls. In her own words, she had already stepped one foot into the Void God realm. As for the remaining foot, it would just take time and grinding. Even with more Thunder Series Enlightenment Jade Scrolls, she couldn’t shorten the process.
"Does merely stepping half a foot forward bring such a massive change?" Shen Yun couldn’t help but ask curiously. Taking the initiative to strike the enemy was a suggestion Little Nine had given after making this breakthrough. Now Little Jie was saying the same thing. It seemed the transformation was truly significant.
"Master, strictly speaking, a peak Golden Core cultivator mobilizing the might of heaven and earth can already be considered touching the edge of the Void God realm. A true Void God... is able to merge their Spiritual Power with the entire heaven and earth," Little Nine explained in her soft, gentle voice. "Right now, I can merge a portion of my Spiritual Power into the Momentum of Heaven and Earth that I mobilize. The power is completely on a different level. But regardless, Little Nine’s strength, realm, body, and absolutely everything all belong to Master."
He thought, "We were just talking about combat strength, but it feels like something weird got mixed in..."
However, Shen Yun understood the gist of it. It basically meant he could show off on a higher level. Half-Step Void God. Not bad. It sounded much better than peak Golden Core.
"Let’s move out!" Shen Yun waved his hand, brimming with high spirits.
He temporarily placed Little Jie into the Tripod Cauldron, brought out his beloved fighter jet, and hopped in. Bolstered by his own power, he flew toward the eastern border at transcendent speed. After a thought, he suddenly channeled a streak of Spiritual Power into Little Nine at his chest.
"Mmm—" Her soft, sensual voice instantly echoed in his mind. "You’re too bad, Master. How could you... launching a surprise attack like that?"
"...I just wanted to see the effects of your enhancement," Shen Yun said, a little embarrassed.
"It’s strong. No, it’s incredibly strong," Little Nine’s voice suddenly turned solemn and deep, like a line from a movie. "As long as Master’s power is within my body, Little Nine... is invincible!"
Shen Yun remained speechless. He thought, "What should I do with a drama queen maid? Waiting online for answers, it’s quite urgent."
Anyway, Shen Yun felt he had never been bored since getting Little Nine. Through their subsequent conversation, he gained a general understanding of her enhanced strength. Even if she still couldn’t compare to a true Void God, she should be able to hold her own in a fight. He could finally rest easy.
Just like that, chatting and laughing, they casually arrived at their destination.
Mans Country.
It was an eastern coastal nation. Even its Royal Capital was situated by the sea, boasting a beautiful harbor. Yet now, it had been occupied by over a dozen Saint Realm experts. There were supposedly ten Paladins and five Kingdom Saint Realm experts.
He had originally planned to start fighting right away. However, lacking his emotionless combat mindset at the moment, Shen Yun decided to go take a look first. He wanted to see those Paladins for himself.
Landing a short distance away from Mans Country’s Royal Capital, he retrieved Little Jie from the Tripod Cauldron. The two of them, donning black belted robes, sneaked into the city.
He thought, "Is this... Hell?"
Although he already had a certain understanding of these fallen Paladins and had seen them a few times, it was precisely for this reason that Shen Yun found the sight unbelievable.
The streets were desolate, without a single pedestrian in sight. However, completely shattered buildings and putrid corpses were visible everywhere—the consequences of Saint Realm power being unleashed with reckless abandon. The air was a mixture of metallic blood and charred flesh, and the CRACKLE of burning flames echoed in his ears. All of this assaulted his senses, making it look like a city that had just been swallowed by the fires of war.
Fallen Paladins... as far as Shen Yun knew, merely had certain desires magnified. Alberta was even still struggling between his desires and the morals of a Paladin. After all, their memories hadn’t changed, their knowledge hadn’t changed, and their way of thinking was still their own. Could it be that the desire a certain Paladin succumbed to was simply destruction and slaughter?
"Master, over there," Little Nine suddenly prompted.
Shen Yun sped up, following her directions. He could already hear bursts of laughter carrying through the air. All the Paladins were here. There were nine in total.
Their silver-white Paladin armor remained completely spotless. Yet they were drinking wine and eating meat, while a group of huddled, trembling women stood in the center of their gathering.
"This is the fucking life! Am I right?!" a drunken Paladin shouted.
"Damn right! To hell with the rules!"
"What kind of bullshit life was I living for the past three hundred years?!"
"If you ask me, we should just call ourselves Dark Knights from now on."
"Hahaha, that’s a good name!"
Judging by this scene alone, these Paladins weren’t exactly insane; they were just... like a band of bandits in a chaotic world.
