Chapter 134: Chapter 129: Secret?

"The glorious achievements of an era are not to be underestimated!" the Monk said.

That was an entire era. Furthermore, it was an era of ultimate brilliance, not some ordinary time of peace. Such a glorious era could give birth to unpredictable laws and unfathomable Daos.

"This Void God Realm... really has quite a few secrets. It doesn’t seem like a Virtual World; instead, it’s more like a massive warehouse, a treasure warehouse!" the Little White Wolf exclaimed.

"Who told you the Void God Realm is a Virtual World?" the Monk asked.

"Is it not?" the Little White Wolf replied.

In the World of Ten Thousand Races, it was universally acknowledged that the Void God Realm was a Virtual World.

"I don’t think it looks like one, either!" Su Tan agreed.

"How could a Virtual World possibly imprison the Yin Demon Race? How could it store so many treasures? You might have guessed right—this is actually a treasure vault!" Su Tan continued. "The Main Realm, the Cemetery of Cultivation Techniques, harbors all sorts of Cultivation and Martial Techniques, Alchemy Skills, and Artifact Refining Skills... And the Treasure Burial Realm is entirely filled with Magical Treasures."

Thinking about it this way, it really did make sense.

"Then how do you explain the Yin Demons? They couldn’t possibly be treasures too!" the Little White Wolf said.

He had just been speaking off the cuff earlier; calling the Void God Realm a treasure land was mostly a joke without any careful reasoning behind it.

"Looking at the current situation... they could be counted as such!" Su Tan said. He paused for a moment before continuing, "When a Yin Demon dies, it provides energy for the Void God Realm’s operation and allows the Ten Thousand Races Cultivators to grow stronger. If that isn’t a treasure, what is? Furthermore... they are invaluable treasures!"

"This..." The Little White Wolf’s eyes flickered for a moment, actually finding himself believing it.

Su Tan’s words somewhat aligned with reality and made sense logically. Was this truly a treasure land?

"The Void God Realm... is truly too mysterious. I even suspect that... the Yin Demons are just a setup," Su Tan continued. "The reason the Yin Demon Race wasn’t exterminated, but merely imprisoned... was deliberately done by the true master of the Void God Realm. That entity, whether a god or a demon, intentionally kept the Yin Demon Race alive and locked them up here just to use them as nourishment to sustain the Void God Realm’s operations!"

"Holy crap... if that’s true, then... that supreme being was incredibly audacious. What a grand undertaking!"

Those words were a stark wake-up call. The Little White Wolf’s heart jolted upon hearing Su Tan’s speculation.

"That entity’s handiwork goes far beyond just this. I have a feeling he wouldn’t do all this for no reason," Su Tan continued. "So many treasures... they couldn’t be just for collecting. There has to be a purpose. The most likely scenario is that they were left for someone in future generations. Well... maybe not necessarily a human!"

"Left for some living creature?"

Who could it be for? Who would it be?

"If someone controlled the Void God Realm, with its countless Cultivation Techniques and countless Magical Artifacts... then... just how far would that successor grow?" It was a terrifying thought.

"To inherit this mountain of treasures, to be able to digest everything inside it... there is no estimating how far he could grow!" Su Tan then added, "Actually... we don’t need to make random guesses. Don’t we have someone right here in reality who can clear up our confusion?"

Su Tan gestured to the Little White Wolf. The focus immediately shifted to the Fat Monk, who had been silent this entire time.

"What?"

"Why don’t you tell us?" Su Tan asked. "Who exactly created the Void God Realm, and who is the successor? What kind of secrets does this Void God Realm hold?"

"How should I know!"

"You’re the manager of the Void God Realm, and you don’t know?"

How was that possible? Su Tan and the Little White Wolf looked at him with expressions that clearly showed they didn’t believe a word of it.

"What’s with those looks?" the Fat Monk retorted. "Does a manager of the Void God Realm have to know everything? You’re a manager too, so why don’t you know?"

"I’m a latecomer, but you’re a native. You’re a living fossil rumored to have lived for countless eras, and you don’t know?" Su Tan pressed on.

"Who said living a long time means you automatically know?" The Fat Monk sounded a little guilty, a hint of confusion appearing in his eyes. "Although I... have lived for countless eras, I simply don’t know. What can I do about it!"

Did he really not know?

Su Tan and the Little White Wolf were somewhat surprised, but immediately after, they decided not to buy it! This Monk was as shrewd as a fox.

Faced with their doubting expressions, the Monk couldn’t hold up any longer.

"Alright, alright... I’ll tell you the truth," the Monk said, waving his hands in a helpless explanation. "Although I’ve lived for countless eras, there’s a problem with my head. A lot of my memories have vanished, so I’m not clear about many things from the past."

"Heh... nonsense. Just a moment ago you were reminiscing about the glorious years of the past, and now you’re saying there’s something wrong with your brain and you can’t remember those things? Who would believe that?" The Little White Wolf was convinced the Fat Monk was lying.

"Believe it or not! I don’t need you to believe me anyway!" the Fat Monk snapped.

"ROAR!" The Little White Wolf bared his fangs, a fierce light glinting in his eyes as he assumed an attacking posture.

Recalling the terror of being dominated by the Little White Wolf’s fangs, the Fat Monk shuddered.

"Fine, fine... I’ll tell you everything. I’ll tell you everything, alright? Stop constantly baring your fangs; I know you’re fierce and ferocious enough!" the Fat Monk said with a darkened expression.

"That’s more like it." The Little White Wolf retracted his sharp teeth.

One human and one wolf pricked up their ears, waiting for the Fat Monk to speak.

The Fat Monk paced a few steps before his body abruptly paused.

"Actually... this Void God Realm was created by me. Oh, wait, no... it was created by my past life. Have you ever heard of shedding one’s mortal shell? Have you ever heard of reincarnation?" the Fat Monk asked, a mysterious look on his face.

"I am a reincarnated person. I am someone who shed his mortal shell. In my past life, I was a supreme powerhouse who suppressed the Nine Heavens and Ten Lands. However, just as my cultivation was reaching perfection, something went wrong. My body began to collapse. On the verge of perishing, I had no choice but to use my supreme power to create the Void God Realm. I buried that most glorious era and hid all its resources in the Void God Realm, including the Yin Demon Race!" the Fat Monk rambled on with his hands behind his back, his facial expressions highly animated, spit flying everywhere as he spoke.
