Chapter 80: Chapter 77: Overlord Body Realm!

Where could one find a Saint King to take as a master?

Nowhere!

It was an impossibly difficult task!

Therefore, even someone as powerful as Yun Chu desired to inherit the legacy of a Saint King. Upon seeing Su Tan, wanting to become his disciple was the most natural thought in the world. Growing up, Yun Chu had never seen a Saint King expert; she hadn’t even seen a regular Saint. Meeting Su Tan now—wasn’t this a golden opportunity? However, having heard that Su Tan had an eccentric personality, she didn’t dare to act rashly.

The next day.

Early morning.

Bright and early, Yun Chu stood waiting outside Su Tan’s courtyard gate, accompanied by Yun Menglong. Inside, Su Tan cultivated the Overlord Body Map for a while before getting out of bed. He washed up, cleaned the house, and then made a rather unappetizing breakfast, eating alone in the yard. Yun Chu stared at Su Tan’s every move, hoping to better understand his habits so she could cater to his preferences.

Through her morning observations, she discovered that Su Tan was very different from ordinary people. Just like herself, Mr. Su seemed to be a bit of a neat freak. He wiped his chopsticks twice before eating and subconsciously wiped the table with a rag from time to time.

It was just that plate of unappealing food...

It seemed a bit out of place.

"Why would Mr. Su eat such a thing?" Yun Chu’s bright, expressive eyes flickered with thought. "He did it yesterday, and again today... Is there some profound mystery I’m not aware of?

"There must be... He definitely has his reasons for doing this... Perhaps, it’s possible that he is trying to comprehend the Great Dao!"

With Mr. Su’s abilities, how could he not afford better food? Having a "unique" dish every single day meant he definitely had his own reasoning.

If Su Tan had known what she was thinking, he would have been at a complete loss for words. He would have thought, "What ’comprehending the Great Dao’? What ’profound mystery’? Hell no! My cooking skills just suck and I ruined the dish, that’s all. There are no grand principles at play here."

While Yun Chu was observing Su Tan’s life to find a way to approach him, Yun Menglong was also watching and pondering deeply. He ultimately came to a conclusion.

"Not simple... It really isn’t simple..." Yun Menglong thought. "Could this be the legendary supreme truth of physical and mental cultivation spoken of in ancient texts... the Great Dao simplified! Returning to the True Self?"

Every one of Su Tan’s movements, every little thing he did, was far too ordinary. Cleaning up, watering the flowers, feeding the fish in the pond... He lived a carefree life, just like a true commoner.

"Could it be that Mr. Su believes the Dao doesn’t reside in the ethereal and illusory, but in the daily necessities of life, in the most ordinary existence?" Yun Chu wondered. "Engaging with the most mundane life is the most primal Dao, cultivating both body and mind?"

A sense of enlightenment actually began to bloom in her heart. When an ordinary person lived the life an ordinary person should, it was called helplessness. But when a Saint King simulated the life of an ordinary person, it was called comprehending the Dao!

Su Tan never imagined that his repetitive daily routine would cause these two to be so easily startled and let their imaginations run wild, assuming it contained some abstruse and obscure principles. However, that was just how reality worked. If an ordinary person said something incredibly profound, others would simply laugh it off. But if a highly accomplished individual uttered a casual sentence, it would trigger deep reflection in others, leading them to believe it held some hidden truth and causing them to analyze it to death.

In fact, if someone presented all those deep realizations and insights to the person in question, they might just stare blankly in utter confusion, thinking, "Holy crap... Am I really that awesome? Was that actually what I was thinking at the time? That sounds so lofty and impressive..."

This reaction from Yun Chu and Yun Menglong was understandable. What was profound and mysterious wasn’t Su Tan’s every action, but rather the Dao that Yun Chu and Yun Menglong had constructed in their own minds! If the two of them gained any enlightenment and consequently made progress in their cultivation, it actually wouldn’t have much intrinsic connection to Su Tan. It would be their own insight, the Dao they had explored themselves. Su Tan was, at best, merely a catalyst.

But that was only looking at it from an objective standpoint. From Yun Chu and Yun Menglong’s perspective, they would credit it all to Su Tan. Some things were just wondrous like that.

Only after Su Tan finished his personal chores did Yun Chu and Yun Menglong knock and enter. For one, they genuinely didn’t want to disturb Su Tan’s normal "Dao comprehension" lifestyle, and secondly, they had wanted to glean some insight from his everyday actions.

"Please, have a seat!" Su Tan gestured with his hand.

"Thank you, Mr. Su!" Yun Chu bowed slightly and sat down.

After a few casual pleasantries, Su Tan didn’t waste any more words and directly channeled Vitality Power into Yun Chu. He really wanted to ask, "Why don’t you stay and be my bodyguard?" but that would be far too abrupt and inappropriate. Therefore, Su Tan didn’t say a word for a long time, simply focusing on transferring the vitality.

Since he didn’t speak, Yun Chu and Yun Menglong naturally didn’t dare to make a sound either. The three of them remained in absolute silence! This lasted until the transfer was complete.

"We’ll stop here for today. The vitality in your body has reached its limit of absorption. Transferring any more would be useless," Su Tan said.

"Thank you, Mr. Su!"

Yun Chu could feel that the stubborn injury that had been constantly plaguing her was now suppressed and was no longer deteriorating. This was something she had tried countless methods to fix to no avail, yet here with Su Tan, it was resolved so effortlessly.

This trip was completely worth it!

Fortunately, when they received the message from the Xu Family, the Yun Family hadn’t ignored it. Fortunately, she had happened to use her physical Talent Superpower and sensed that there was an opportunity to be found on this journey. Otherwise, she truly would have missed out, and the consequences would have been unimaginable.

Speaking of which, Su Tan’s ability happened to be the perfect counter to Yun Chu’s affliction. The vitality-restoring function within Su Tan’s body stemmed from the Emperor Dao. The predecessor of that copper fragment was a suit of Emperor Dao armor. Because of its immense age, the Emperor Dao marks within the fragment had been mostly eroded by time, leaving only this minor function of restoring Vitality Power.

But even if this function wasn’t perfect—unable to execute the peak Divine Techniques of the Emperor Armor or achieve the level of rebirth from a single drop of blood—after being enhanced by the system, it was undoubtedly countless times more powerful than the so-called vitality of a Saint King. And what Yun Chu needed was exactly vitality—specifically, half the vitality of a Saint King. Wasn’t this a match made in heaven?

From then on, everything carried on as usual in a calm and peaceful manner. Yun Menglong and Yun Chu would come regularly for medical treatment. As for Su Tan, aside from spending a small portion of his time on daily life, he spent the vast majority of it cultivating the Overlord Body Map!

Finally.

That night.

Su Tan was cultivating in the training room when a thick, powerful aura permeated the air.

"Body Refinement layer 490!" he chuckled softly.

Su Tan had successfully learned all eighteen Overlord Body Maps! His cultivation base had also reached the terrifying 490th layer.

"Ding! Congratulations to the host for cultivating the Dominator Body to the advanced stage, successfully unlocking the Overlord Body Realm!"

"The Overlord Body Realm?"

RUMBLE!

An anomaly descended from the heavens. A ten-mile radius lit up as if it were broad daylight. A domineering Dao Mark could be felt flowing through the air, as if an ancient overlord had crossed through space, wielding a Tyrant Halberd. He stood there, immovable as a mountain, emitting an aura so oppressive it made it hard to breathe.

This wasn’t an anomaly in the Void God Realm, but one in reality. In the real world, things that could trigger such anomalies were exceedingly rare. Only things that had gained the recognition of the Great Dao, or things that surpassed its understanding, could cause such a sensation. It meant either the emergence of a new Emperor Dao Technique, Martial Technique, or Pill Formula, or the birth of a new Saint, and so on.

In short, anyone or anything capable of triggering an anomaly was absolutely extraordinary. Only when a person or object coming into the world reached a certain level of power could an anomaly occur. Whether it was a person or an object, it represented one thing: immense strength!

Looking over, a giant cluster of light had appeared above Su Tan’s house, hanging in the dark night sky like a sun. It radiated brilliant rays of light.

ROAR!

Then, right from the center of the light, Auspicious Beasts began to emerge one by one. Dragon Beasts, Qilins, Cyan Birds, Fire Phoenixes... They roared and howled, creating a scene of unparalleled, divine illusion.
