Chapter 175: Chapter 175: Memories Came Rushing Back

Caelia raised her hand.

"Frost Spear!"

A large spear of ice formed before her and shot toward the strongest beast in the group. It struck the creature’s shoulder, forcing it to stagger.

Snow followed with a swift attack, tearing through the exposed area before the beast could retaliate.

Caelia then redirected her attention to the remaining monsters.

She raised both hands, and several sharp ice spikes erupted from the ground, striking three beasts at once.

All three fell.

"That’s three!" she called out, her voice filled with excitement.

Damon glanced back and grinned.

"Not bad! Keep going!"

Caelia felt a surge of satisfaction.

She had always been proud of her strength, but this battle was allowing her to explore it in ways she hadn’t before. She was no longer simply relying on the techniques she had learned from her family. She was developing her own approach, adjusting her arts to the situation and making decisions without waiting for instructions.

And she could feel the difference.

Her attacks were faster, her Aether control more precise, and her movements more natural.

Even Snow had become more confident, moving ahead without hesitation whenever Caelia created an opening.

"Let’s see if we can get a few more!" Caelia said.

Snow let out an excited cry.

The two rushed toward the next group.

Damon watched them for a brief moment before turning back to the battlefield.

He was pleased with their progress.

Caelia had been adapting quickly, and the experience she was gaining here would be valuable in future battles. There was no need to hold her hand through every encounter. As long as she could recognize danger and make the right decisions, he was confident she would continue to improve.

"Everyone is getting better," he muttered.

Freya appeared beside him, her tails flickering with silver lightning.

"Of course! We’re your spirits, after all!"

Damon chuckled.

"Then keep proving it."

"Gladly!"

She dashed away, leaving a trail of silver sparks behind her.

Damon followed, his own elemental arts gathering around him as he moved.

The group had become increasingly efficient, and their pace was much faster than before. The enormous beast tide that had seemed impossible to cross was gradually thinning around them.

And the closer they got to the frontline, the more clearly they could see the human defenses ahead.

The elemental users at the frontline had also begun noticing the approaching figures.

At first, they could only make out flashes of different elemental energies cutting through the beasts. But as the group drew closer, the shapes of the attackers became clearer.

A large bird with six wings soared above the tide.

Its emerald feathers were unmistakable, and the wind gathered around its body as it swept through another group of flying beasts. With a powerful beat of its wings, it unleashed a wide wave of wind that tore through the monsters and cleared the air around it.

"Wait... isn’t that a Wind Sovereign Roc?"

An elemental user stared at the creature in disbelief.

Others followed his gaze.

They recognized the spirit beast, or at least the stories surrounding it. A Wind Sovereign Roc was already a rare sight, and one with such powerful control over wind was even more unusual.

But before they could make sense of what they were seeing, another figure flashed across the battlefield.

A nine-tailed beast covered in silver lightning tore through a group of monsters, its attacks striking with such speed that the beasts barely had time to react.

"That... that’s a nine-tailed lightning beast!"

The words spread through the frontline.

More elemental users turned toward the approaching group, their exhaustion momentarily forgotten as they watched the two spirits fight.

The Wind Sovereign Roc.

The nine-tailed lightning beast.

They had heard of these spirits before.

And not all those stories were pleasant.

Several explorers had returned from the Floating Ruin incident with tales of a mysterious individual and his powerful Spirit Elementals. The details had spread throughout the elemental community, especially among those who had taken part in the exploration or heard the reports afterward.

The memories came rushing back.

Some remembered the chaos surrounding the incident. Others recalled the valuable resources that had gone missing and the mysterious figure who had disappeared without leaving a trace.

The same figure was now approaching their frontline.

"Could it be...?"

One of the elemental users swallowed hard.

The others were beginning to reach the same conclusion.

If these were the same spirits from the Floating Ruin incident, then their master had to be nearby.

But who was he?

The scouts rushed toward the command area, eager to report what they had seen.

"Ah elder! We’ve identified two of the spirits attacking the beasts!"

The elders immediately turned toward them.

"Which spirits?"

"The Wind Sovereign Roc and a nine-tailed lightning beast!"

The command area fell quiet.

The representatives who had returned from Frostveil Expanse exchanged uneasy glances.

Those spirits were familiar to them as they had heard the reports surrounding the Floating Ruin incident.

One of the elders slowly rose from his seat.

"Are you certain?"

"Yes, Elder. We saw them clearly. Their appearance match the descriptions."

The elder’s expression darkened.

The memories of the Floating Ruin incident had already caused tension among the families. Now, the same spirits had appeared at the Tempest Hollow frontline, tearing through the beast tide with frightening ease.

"Then who is their master?" another elder asked.

The scouts hesitated.

"We haven’t been able to see him clearly yet. The beasts are blocking our view, but there appears to be a small group fighting alongside the spirits."

The elders looked toward the distant battlefield.

The representatives remained silent.

They had their suspicions, but none of them wanted to voice them.

The thief from the Floating Ruin incident had finally appeared again, and this time, he had come directly to their frontline.

Yet the strength displayed by the spirits was far beyond what most of them had expected.

"Keep watching them," an elder ordered. "We need to identify their master."
