Chapter 782 Beast Village Deceitful Object

The deep canyon was utterly silent, save for the unceasing echo of the Soul Ape’s roar.

As the invisible sound wave spread, its primary target was Shen Bai.

The roar washed over the landscape. Dead Objects remained unchanged, but Living Creatures swiftly withered away.

Yet, when the sound wave struck Shen Bai, a white light on his body, gentle as jade, completely blocked it.

The Soul Ape’s roar stopped abruptly, and its white-furred face showed a trace of human-like bewilderment.

‘Why is he unharmed?’

Though it was a beast, it was highly intelligent. This Divine Soul Attack was a unique trump card, surprisingly effective even against cultivators at the Celestial Spirit Realm.

The Soul Ape felt its white fur stand on end. An icy chill shot through its body, making it shiver involuntarily.

Just then, a figure flashed by, colliding with the Blood Red Sword Qi.

The Blood Red Sword Qi vanished without a trace, while the figure that appeared retreated several hundred steps, barely managing to stop.

Shen Bai narrowed his eyes, sized up the newcomer, and said, “A big turtle?”

A few more figures flashed by, and a man and a woman appeared before Shen Bai.

The man was dressed in an emerald green robe, the woman in a simple white dress.

After appearing, they both regarded Shen Bai with calm eyes.

“After we drive him off, inform the Clan Leader,” the man said, as if Shen Bai wasn’t there. “The Power of Space seems to have weakened; two people have already entered in a short time.”

The woman glanced at Shen Bai and shook her head. “Let’s just kill him. No outsiders can learn of the village’s business. Killing him will prevent any future problems.”

The man pondered for a moment. “Make it clean, to prevent…”

Before he finished speaking, the man heard the sound of wind whistling past his ear.

Turning his head, he saw Shen Bai blur into an afterimage, rapidly closing in.

A voice echoed in his ear.

“Still talking during a fight? You must have a death wish.”

‘They decided my fate in just a few words. In my eyes, that’s a death sentence.’

The man felt the monstrous killing intent from Shen Bai, and his whole body turned ice-cold.

He quickly gestured, and the turtle beside him blurred into an afterimage, blocking Shen Bai’s path.

Meanwhile, the Soul Ape reacted. At the woman’s command, it abandoned its Divine Soul Attack and brought its giant claw down on Shen Bai’s head.

“This Green Turtle’s defense is decent, but it’s a shame there’s only one.”

Shen Bai’s left hand glowed with golden Buddha’s Light as he smashed a fist onto the turtle’s shell.

A Fist Seal appeared on the turtle’s shell, and it was sent flying backward under the immense Power Dao.

The Soul Ape’s claw landed on Shen Bai’s head, but the white light enveloping his body was incomparably solid.

“KRAK!”

With the sound of shattering bone, the rebound force snapped the Soul Ape’s tendons and fractured its arm.

Shen Bai flicked Cold Moon, and the Blood Red Sword Qi pierced the man’s chest.

‘I came here today. If they had treated me with courtesy, I would have responded in kind. But this pair decided my fate in just a few words, and I was not pleased.’

The man looked down at the Blood Red Sword Qi in his chest, his face full of disbelief. He raised a trembling finger and pointed at Shen Bai.

Shen Bai pulled Cold Moon from the man’s chest and casually wiped the blood on the man’s clothes.

“Many people have died by my hand. You’re the first one to ask if I dare.”

The man collapsed. Ravaged by the Blood Red Sword Qi, his body was reduced to a pile of drifting ash.

Seeing this, the woman screamed and turned to run.

‘She’d never seen anyone so terrifying.’

‘The Soul Ape specialized in Divine Soul Attacks, but they were useless against this terrifying man.’

‘The Eight-sided Turtle’s defense looked unbeatable, yet this man sent it flying with ease.’

‘I can’t fight him.’

‘If I stay, I’ll end up a corpse.’

But before she could take two steps, a voice from behind made her tremble all over, her legs growing weak.

“You said you wanted me silenced. I’m here to do the silencing.”

Cold Moon flashed across the woman’s neck. A beautiful head tumbled to the ground. The headless body convulsed for a few moments before falling still.

Though they were only beasts, the turtle and the Soul Ape were terrified by the sight. Instinct took over, and they tried to flee.

“You can go. But leave your lives behind.”

Blood Red Sword Qi shot out, piercing the fleeing Soul Ape.

The Soul Ape shrieked in agony and collapsed with a THUD. Its white fur rapidly blackened and charred, and within a few breaths, it was nothing more than a corpse.

The Eight-sided Turtle was surprisingly fast and had already covered dozens of yards.

But an afterimage flashed, and Shen Bai appeared in front of the Eight-sided Turtle, one hand pressed on its shell.

“Good defense, but it’s just a shell.”

Shen Bai raised his other hand as a Buddha Dharma Aspect rose up behind him. He smashed his fist onto the Eight-sided Turtle’s shell.

“BOOM!”

A tremendous roar echoed as the Eight-sided Turtle’s shell caved inward.
