I Can Fish Up Everything!

Then again, even larger Seven-star Sea Bass have been caught before, so it wasn’t that surprising.

“Sounds like a huge sea bass. Ah Nan, hurry up and bring it in so we can see,” An Jun said, still fishing.

As for Ye Jing, he had just reeled in his hook. Seeing what was happening, he quickly came over to watch the excitement.

When he saw the giant Sea Bass, he respectfully offered up a choice curse.

“Ah Nan, how much do you think this fish will sell for?”

“Not sure. It depends on the exact weight, but ninety a pound is definitely doable.” Gu Nan shook his head, then swiftly and precisely looped a rope around the fish’s tail and yanked it tight.

The fish seemed to sense the danger, slapping the surface of the water with the last of its strength.

“Ahh!”

Yi Chen cried out in surprise as she was splashed by the seawater.

“Are you okay?” Gu Nan asked, his voice full of concern, but a slight smile played on his lips.

Yi Chen rolled her eyes at him. “I’m fine. My clothes just got a little wet.”

The crane started, and the enormous Sea Bass was quickly hoisted aboard.

Ye Jing eagerly went to grab the electronic scale from the cabin so Gu Nan could weigh the fish.

Thirty-eight pounds. It was enormous.

“Tsk, tsk. At that price, it could sell for over thirty-four hundred!” Ye Jing was envious. His shop’s net profit for an entire week was only that much!

‘Looks like changing careers is the way to go,’ he thought. But he also knew that he had to follow the right person. If he just charged in with brute force, he would definitely lose money.

‘You can make money in any industry, but you can also lose it.’

“Not bad at all.” Gu Nan was quite satisfied with the weight himself. He then used the crane to move the fish into the live well.

There was nothing to be done for the Dahuang; they die as soon as they’re out of the water and can’t be kept alive.

The Sea Bass, however, could be kept alive. For one night, at least, it would be fine.

The price difference between a live one and a dead one was more than double, so it would be a painful loss if it died.

The Sea Bass was just a minor interlude; the main event of the evening was still the Dahuang.

Even if the fish were small, they wouldn’t turn their noses up at them.

Gu Nan cast his line again, but the commotion from the Sea Bass had scared the fish away. Five or six minutes passed without a single bite.

Frustrated, he went into the cabin to check the fish finder and discovered that the fish had all moved over to where An Jun and the others were. No wonder they were pulling one up every now and then.

He didn’t change his spot when he returned. Instead, he tossed in a few spoonfuls of Antarctic krill to lure some of the fish back over.

Sure enough, a few minutes after the Antarctic krill sank, his rod started moving again. Yi Chen returned to his side to fish as well.

She had barely cast her baited hook when her rod gave a signal.

Her focus sharpened instantly. Seeing the rod tip bend slightly and the float get yanked underwater, she quickly raised her rod to set the hook.

“Huh?”

Feeling a stronger pull on the line than ever before, she let out a small gasp of surprise.

“What is it?” Gu Nan asked casually.

“I think I’ve hooked a big one.” Yi Chen’s pretty eyes sparkled. ‘If this is a Dahuang too, how big must it be?’

“That’s great!” Gu Nan, though busy with his own line, started to pay attention to what was happening with hers.

Having fished for Dahuang for several hours, Yi Chen was now quite skilled.

After setting the hook, she began to steadily raise her rod and reel in the line. Even though this fish was bigger, it didn’t disrupt her smooth technique.

In just a moment, a glittering, golden fish, half a meter long, broke the surface.

Yi Chen gasped and held her breath in delight. Her body tensed. Now that the fish was at the surface, she was almost afraid to move, terrified that one wrong move would let it escape.

Gu Nan had already reeled in his line, setting his rod aside and grabbing the landing net.

Seeing the pleading look in his girlfriend’s wide eyes, he didn’t hesitate. He expertly scooped up the Dahuang with the landing net and hauled it aboard.

“Phew…”

Seeing the fish safely on board, Yi Chen finally relaxed, letting out the breath she’d been holding, her relief quickly turning into joyous laughter.

“Haha, it’s half a meter long! Ah Nan, hurry and see how much it weighs!”

She hadn’t been speaking loudly while fighting the fish, so neither Ye Jing nor An Jun had heard her.

But now, hearing her shout, they both turned around at the same time to see the Dahuang on the deck.

“Holy shit!” they both yelled.
